Future of Salutogenic Approach to Prevention of Burnout Syndrome in Russian Physicians 俄罗斯医生预防职业倦怠综合征的有益健康方法的未来

Since the onset of the first studies of burnout syndrome in various contingents and professions, as a rule, negative clinical predictors and consequences of this syndrome have been in focus: stress, anxiety, depression, aggressiveness, suicidal behavior. Nevertheless, overcoming the burnout syndrome often occurs not by means of special interventions, but in a spontaneous, natural way. The study shows the character of association of personal authenticity, moral motives, age, experience and some other characteristics in a sample of Russian doctors (N=700) with burnout. The model of salutogenic approach to prophylaxy and prevention of burnout syndrome in modern psychology and medicine substantiated.

Emotion Dysregulation and Body Dissatisfaction in Female Population 女性情绪失调与身体不满意

The study investigated the relations between body dissatisfaction and emotional dysregulation. This is the first research focusing on the mediating effect of emotional dysregulation on the relationship between negative affect and body dissatisfaction in a Russian female population. It is particularly relevant given that both emotional dysregulation and body dissatisfaction may lead to the emergence of psychopathological symptoms (e.g., depression, self-injurious behavior, and eating disorders). 778 girls and women aged 14–40 years (M=19,8; SE=3,31) participated in the study. The following measures were used: Body Image Questionnaire (Skugarevsky, 2006), Emotional Dysregulation Questionnaire (Polskaya, Razvaliaeva, 2017), Emotion Regulation Questionnaire (Gross, John, 2003; Russian version by Pankratova, Kornienko, 2017) and Positive and Negative Affect Schedule (Watson et al., 1988; Russian version by Osin, 2012). High level of body dissatisfaction was significantly associated with high scores of rumination, avoidance and difficulties in mentalizing from the Emotional Dysregulation Questionnaire, high level of negative affect and low level of positive affect. Respondents with high body dissatisfaction also preferred expressive suppression to cognitive reappraisal for emotion regulation. Regression analysis showed that negative affect (b=0,20; p<0,001) and emotion dysregulation scales — rumination (b=0,66; p<0,001), avoidance (b=0,69; p<0,001) and difficulties in mentalizing (b=0,33; p<0,001) — significantly predicted body dissatisfaction (F(4, 773)=130,8, p<0,001; R2=0,405; R2adj=0,402). Emotion dysregulation scales mediated the effect of negative affect on body dissatisfaction.

Internet Use and Depressive Symptoms in Adolescents: a Review 青少年网络使用与抑郁症状:综述

The introduction of digital technologies in everyday practices and the reduction of the age of children's access to the Internet creates the need to reflect on the potential benefits and risks associated with digitalization. The article summarizes the main data on the impact of the Internet, in particular social networks, on life satisfaction indicators and symptoms of depression in adolescents. The results of empirical studies conducted in different countries are ambiguous and do not allow to speak about universal effects that apply to all children and adolescents. We assume that the lack of unambiguous conclusions about the impact of digital technologies is due to the nonlinearity and differential effects. In particular, the power of influence depends on the individual characteristics, the intensity of the use of technology, socio-economic characteristics of the child's environment. This review shows the need for a differentiated approach to research the impact of digitalization on the well-being of children and to the practices of supporting the child in his development of the Internet.

Proposing a Model-Based Addition of Risk and Protective Factors to the Evaluation of Displaced Youth 基于模型的风险与保护因素对流离失所青少年评估的影响

Immigrant youth displaced from their homes are at great risk for developing emotional and behavioral symptoms and, therefore, they often present for assessment services in school, medical, and justice settings. The aim of this report is to describe unique, evidence-based risk and protective factors for psychopathology relevant to this client group including risk factors at the individual, family, and community levels that occur during premigration, perimigration, and postmigration. Adding assessment of these factors to a solid foundation of evidence-based assessment will enhance the breadth and depth of psychodiagnostic evaluations of immigrant youth. Protective factors, particularly family relationships, school connections, and peer support, must also be considered, as protective factors can be used to provide recommendations for services and interventions that capitalize upon existing sources of resilience. In addition to presenting a conceptual model and reviewing common risk and protective factors in the extant literature, this report closes with sample measures that can be quickly and easily added to an existing psychodiagnostic battery in order to tailor the assessment to immigrant youth.

Emotional States of Teenagers and Adolescents with Intact and Impaired Intelligence in Dangerous Situations Perception 智力健全与受损青少年在危险情境知觉中的情绪状态

The article is dedicated to the studying of emotional states in the structure of psychological security of teenage and adolescent students with both intact and impaired intellect. It is assumed that the development degree of emotional states, when students respond to dangerous situations, depends on the age and the intellectual impairments. The research engaged 157 teenagers (M=12,98 y.o.; SD=0,76 y.o.) and adolescents (M=16,27 y.o.; SD=0,69 y.o.). Some students had an intact intellect, whereas a number had an impaired intellect. The study used a questionnaire aimed at defining of the type of danger response by V.G. Maralov (2012). The research applied the work of the Emotional Attitude of Teenagers to Dangerous Situations (L.F. Fatikhova, E.F. Saifutdiyarova, 2021) aimed at the revealing of the emotional attitude to situations that threaten the life and health and to favourable situations. Present study also uses the work Teenagers in Dangerous Situations (L.F. Fatikhova, E.F. Saifutdiyarova, 2020) aimed to study the ability to recognize emotional states in people located in dangerous situations. The study revealed difficulties in the identification of emotional states and recognize emotions of participants of hazardous situations for teenagers with intellectual impairments compared to their intact-intellect peers. The impaired intellect teenagers prove to have a lower diversity of emotions and difficulties to communicate their emotions verbally in case of danger. Mann–Whitney test revealed that teenagers and adolescents with intact and impaired intellect show different emotional attitude to dangerous situations and ability to recognize emotions of endangered people. The obtained findings can be applied when developing programs aimed at forming in teenagers and adolescents the ability to reasonably perceive and respond to dangerous situations with regards to their age and intellectual impairment

Tutor Support of Learners with Special Educational Needs in Conditions of Inclusive Education 全纳教育条件下特殊教育需要学习者的导师支持

Authors of the study analyze key characteristics of tutor support for students with special educational needs in the context of inclusive education. An activity model of tutor support based on the analysis of foreign and domestic research is proposed. The main goal of presented model is to create conditions for the development of active position of the individual. Individual cases of tutor support for students with autism spectrum disorders and behavioral and mental characteristics that determine various difficulties of their inclusion in the educational process are considered in the article. Due to the mentioned aspects, the problem of tutor support is actualized. Case analysis shows the relevance of a tutor's work within the framework of an activity-based approach to provide conditions for the development of a conscious involvement of students in the educational process as well as the development of an active position. Present situation requires additional research.

Treatment of Social Anxiety Disorder: Mechanisms, Techniques, and Empirically Supported Interventions 社交焦虑障碍的治疗:机制、技术和经验支持的干预措施

Social anxiety disorder (SAD) is a prevalent condition negatively affecting one’s sense of self and interpersonal functioning. Relying on cognitive but integrating interpersonal and evolutionary models of SAD as our theoretical base, we review basic processes contributing to the maintenance of this condition (e.g., self-focused attention, imagery, avoidance), as well as the treatment techniques geared to modify such processes (e.g., exposure, attention modification, imagery rescripting). We discuss cognitive-behavioral treatments (CBT) as combining multiple treatment techniques into intervention “packages.” Next, we review the existing empirical evidence on the effectiveness of CBT. Although CBT has accumulated the most support as superior to other credible interventions, we suggest that many treatment challenges remain. We conclude by discussing the ways to enhance the efficacy of CBT for SAD. Specifically, we highlight the need to (a) elucidate the complex relationship between basic processes and techniques, (b) advance personalized interventions, and (c) include a more diverse and comprehensive array of outcome measures.

A hybrid format of the conference is described, a wide geography of participants from Russia and abroad is shown, detailed topics of the plenary and breakout sessions, as well as workshops are presented.

Evidence-Based Psychotherapy Practices for Preschool Children: A Brief Review for Clinicians 学龄前儿童循证心理治疗实践:临床医生简要回顾

Despite growing consensus that clinical interventions must be supported by empirical evidence, preschool-aged children are more likely than older children to receive services with little to no empirical support. The dissemination of research findings on the efficacy of specific interventions is constrained by clinicians’ limited access to peer-reviewed research journals and treatment manuals. The current paper provides a synthesis on the literature of psychological treatment for children with externalizing or internalizing problems and their parents or families. The review highlights key principles and treatment approaches that are supported by the evidence so that clinicians may readily implement these evidence-based treatments. The approaches that have the most empirical support for externalizing problems are parent behavior management training (PBMT), parent-child interaction therapy (PCIT), and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT; in individual or group format, including social skills groups). For internalizing problems, research suggests that family-based CBT, group parent CBT (alone or in combination with group child CBT), trauma-focused CBT, and adapted versions of PCIT are the most evidence-supported treatments in preschool children. Common principles and techniques that are shared by a number of evidence-based treatments for preschool-aged children, and recommendations for clinicians and for the research community are discussed.

Features of Psychological Choice in Volunteers Delivering Support to Children with Severe Developmental Disorders, Children with Cancer and Their Families 重度发育障碍儿童、癌症儿童及其家庭支持志愿者的心理选择特征

The article is devoted to studying of the psychological reasons for the choice of voluntary support to children with severe developmental disorders. Authors offer a diagnostic program for studying the features of the psychological choice of volunteers delivering support to children with severe developmental disorders. During an empirical study, the tasks were set to determine and differentiate the characteristics of motivational attitudes and personality characteristics of volunteers. Further, a comparative analysis of the data carried out between groups of respondents delivering support to children with disabilities of different medical conditions, including those with the severe developmental disorders. Results of the study of the features of the psychological choice of volunteers working in the projects of the Charity Foundation “Podari zhisn”, the Deafblind Support Foundation “Con-nection”, the Orthodox Service “Miloserdie.ru”, helping children with severe developmental disorders, deafblind and children with cancer. 28 volunteers participated in the research. The analysis of motivational attitudes shows that during volunteering activities young people can show not only their altruistic qualities, but also satisfy one of the most important needs of personal self-development, experiencing spiritual satisfaction from the results of real help and activity compassion for people with disabilities.
