A mother's pathological narcissistic traits can lead to several adverse childhood experiences. However, there is no measurement tool to assess these detrimental effects of maternal narcissism on the child's perception. The current study aims to develop and examine the psychometric properties of the Perceived Maternal Narcissism Scale (PMNS). In this article, we conducted three studies with 720 participants. In studies 1 and 2, we developed PMNS and evaluated its reliability and validity. Both EFA and CFA results provided evidence for 25 items and a five-factor solution (Lack of empathy, grandiosity, criticism, control-manipulation, and parentification-exploitation) to assess maternal narcissism from the child's perception. Moreover, PMNS scores were significantly associated with parental attitudes and parentification measures. The PMNS demonstrated good reliability in terms of internal consistency and test-retest reliability. Finally, study 3 obtained the PMNS scores from children associated with obtained Narcissistic Personality Inventory-16 and the Pathological Narcissism Inventory scores from their mothers. The results of three studies have shown that the PMNS is a valid and reliable measurement tool to assess mothers’ narcissistic traits from the childrens’ perception.

A sociodemographic examination about coronavirus fear and anxiety in Turkish sample It is crucial to determine the current state of anxiety and fear, which can be considered as psychological reactions to coronavirus. This will help in the process of predicting, understanding, and developing protective and preventive psychosocial support programs or official strategies for individual or mass psychological reactions that occur during or after the pandemic. In this study, it was examined how the level of coronavirus anxiety and fear in the Turkish sample dif-fers in terms of sociodemographic variables. Sociodemographic Information Form, Coronavirus Anxiety Scale and the Fear of Covid-19 Scale were used to collect data. A total of 1150 people, 722 females and 428 males, between the ages of 18-73 participated in the study. The results of the analysis revealed that coronavirus anxiety and fear levels differ in terms of gender, age, education level, financial status, the presence of someone diagnosed with coronavirus in the family, duration of isolation, and employment status. The level of coronavirus anxiety and fear did not differ significantly in terms of marital status, presence of someone treated for coronavirus and someone who died for the coronavirus in the family. The findings were discussed in comparison with the international literature.

Although over-purchasing behavior was mostly addressed in consumer research in the past, nowadays it has been considered as a psychological problem. Debates have still continued on how to name excessive shopping behavior, which was previously more prominent among consumer research, as a psychological problem and in which classification it should be included in. The possible options can be impulse control disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder and associated disorders, or a behavioral addiction. This problem that has been stated with various names in the past, is now more commonly referred as compulsive buying and shopping addiction. Another non-consensual issue is how to measure this behavior. Depending on the context in which the problem is handled, the dimensions of the behavior that the measurement instruments consider will change. The aim of this review is to examine the classification, measurement and characteristics of measurement instruments developed according to the context in which over-purchasing behavior is addressed. Thus, an overview will be provided on which measurement instruments can be preferred in the clinic and purchasing behavior research, and how the treatment plan will be developed accordingly. Consequently, it can be stated that the nature of over-purchasing behavior and in what context it occurs should be evaluated in detail, and the behavior can be included in different classifications according to different contexts.

Child abuse and neglect is an important social problem affecting millions of children and their families around the world. Regardless of the physical, emotional or sexual abuse, in the judicial process regarding child abuse, it is very important to collect and evaluate the physical, biological and psychological findings correctly, as well as forensic interviews with the victim child. Forensic interview is an interview in which information about the incident is collected, whether the crime has been revealed, and the obtained information is analyzed in a psychological and legal framework, with an impartial approach to the victim or suspect in judicial incidents. In this direction, the aim of our research is to try to create a descriptive framework for the competence and effectiveness of forensic interviewing through qualitative analysis. Forensic interviewers from 3 different cities with forensic interview experience were selected in the study. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with the interviewees by using the interview form prepared in accordance with the working areas and interview processes of the forensic interviewers, and the interview records were evaluated using Interpretive Phenomenological Analysis (YFA). As a result of the examination of the interviews, seven repetitive themes were determined and concrete quotations from the discourses of the participants were given for each top theme. The results obtained are discussed in the literature.
