Design and experimental validation of a low voltage high current SRM for light electric vehicles 轻型电动汽车低压大电流SRM的设计与实验验证

The paper details the background of design, modeling, building and experimental validation of a low power switched reluctance machine (SRM) together with its attached custom made electronic converter. Aspects regarding the design of the machine highlight the main analytical involved procedures. The model of the machine is firstly validated through simulation wise involving two strategies, one based on finite element analysis (FEA) and one based on a complex Matlab/Simulink model. The building of the machine is also presented in the paper. In order to validate the studied system via experimental tests, a custom made electronic power converter was built based on high current MOSFET type power switches. The control of the converter was accomplished using a dSPACE 1103 board. The position and speed sensing of the machine is based on a resolver type sensor. Preliminary, simple hysteresis control was involved in order to validate the developed torque of the machine at different velocities.

Dynamic overmodulation for highly dynamic current control of IPMSM with saturation characteristics 具有饱和特性的IPMSM高动态电流控制的动态过调制

This paper describes and investigates different dynamic overmodulation strategies applied to highly dynamic current control of interior permanent magnet synchronous machines. Although the machine is highly utilized, which indicates significant saturation characteristics, a linearized PI-Controller with excellent dynamic performance is used. The impact of voltage limitation with use of overmodulation on the current control quality is investigated and described.

Design and comparison of 33 slot permanent magnet synchronous motor with symmetric and asymmetric AC windings 33槽对称与非对称交流绕组永磁同步电动机的设计与比较

This paper investigates the design, manufacturing and comparison of low voltage 33-slot permanent magnet AC motor with symmetric and asymmetric winding. Design and analysis of the motors are performed to get information about performance characteristic of both motors for a set of given specs. No-load and on-load analyses are accomplished in order to obtain voltage and torque constants. Prototype motors are built with two sets of AC windings. Motor performances are verified experimentally and the analyses are compared with the design data. Good agreement between the designed motors and the test results is observed for this low voltage high current application.

Reliability Assessment of Avalanche Mode Operating Power MOSFETs through Coffin Manson Law based Mathematical Models 基于Coffin Manson定律的雪崩模式工作功率mosfet可靠性评估

A possible alternative to traditional, time crunching, endurance tests in accomplishing the reliability assessment of power devices are reliability models. Two possible approaches are compared in this paper to estimate the level of reliability of power MOSFETs working in avalanche mode. Although both the considered approaches exploit mathematical models carried out from the Coffin-Manson law, they differ in correlating the progressive degradation of the metal Source to different physical variables, the temperature variation and the total strain respectively. The consistence of the proposed techniques is evaluated by comparing estimations with endurance tests results. The described approaches can be usefully applied to assess the reliability of MOSFETs working in avalanche mode in a large set of applications in the automotive field.

Review of series connected wound rotor three phase induction motors 串接绕线转子三相感应电动机的研究进展

This paper presents the series connected wound rotor three phase induction motor, SCIM, research work previously reported in the literature with highlights on its performance characteristics, stability and the comparisons drawn with the conventional induction motor. Simulated results of the transient behavior of the SCIM are shown under different load conditions and a sequence of disruptive conditions, ex. unbalance supply, single phase to ground fault, open circuited phase and sudden phase reversal fault. The results confirm the sensitivity of such mode of operation under load and disruptive conditions.

Detecting insulation condition changes of inverter Fed AC machines based on two current sensors and indirect phase step excitation 基于双电流传感器和间接相位阶跃励磁的逆变式Fed交流电机绝缘状态变化检测

A high number of breakdowns of adjustable speed drives (ASD) is caused by a fault of the machine, especially stator related insulation faults frequently occur. The evaluation of the insulation condition is possible with the current sensor signals only. The analyses of the transient part of the current response give evidence if a change in the insulation system occurred. The degradation of the insulation state is noticeable through a capacitive change, which influences the high frequency behavior of the machine and as a consequence the transient part of the current signal. The proposed method is capable to detect insulation degradation through analyzing the transient current response of the sensors already used for the control of the machine. Additionally, the profitable capital expenditure demands the design with minimal number of components. To reduce the costs only two current sensors are available. The non-measured transient phase current response can be reconstructed by a special excitation sequence and signal processing without significant deterioration of sensitivity.

Propulsion retrofitting of the tall ship Amerigo Vespucci: Automation design by simulation “亚美利哥·韦斯普奇”号高舰推进装置改造:仿真自动化设计

The paper is focused on the most important aspects of the electric propulsion retrofitting of the tall ship Amerigo Vespucci, decided by the Italian Navy in 2010 to improve performance, flexibility and reliability of the propulsion system. The automation design is based on a simulation study, aimed at the ship performance prediction in both sailing and motor propulsion conditions. In particular, an original control logic is investigated by numerical simulation, in order to drive the propeller to the “zero-thrust” condition during sailing propulsion: by this way, it could be possible to avoid the negative effect of the trailing propeller on the transmission efficiency and safety, as well as on the vessel speed.

A synchronous reference frame sliding mode based estimator for the speed and flux magnitude of the induction motor drive 基于同步参考系滑模的异步电机转速和磁链大小估计器

The paper discusses the problem of speed and rotor flux magnitude estimation for the induction motor (IM) drive and presents a sliding mode observer (SMO) that is constructed based on the IM model in the synchronous reference frame. To implement the control scheme of the IM drive, generally, the speed and the flux magnitude are needed. In a control scheme with speed and flux regulation, they are used for d and q axis feedback. If the current control scheme uses a decoupling compensator, the flux and speed are needed to compute the decoupling voltages. The paper develops a SM observer for the flux magnitude based on the synchronous reference frame model of the IM. The method assumes that the d-q voltages and currents are available. The observer requires knowledge of the motor speed - instead, the SMO is fed with a speed estimate (assumed inaccurate). Using a specific gain design, the SMO is made insensitive to the input speed inaccuracy. Using the equivalent controls of the observer, the initial speed estimate is corrected to obtain two secondary speed estimates. A weighted average speed estimate that combines the secondary estimates is also shown. The theoretical findings are supported with simulations.

Winding design of a high power medium frequency transformer 大功率中频变压器绕组设计

The availability of improved magnetic materials and higher voltage rating semiconductor devices have made the design of high power medium frequency transformers feasible. The paper presents a simple design procedure to determine the core dimensions based on the area product method. A winding design procedure to use foil conductors in the high voltage side to achieve ac-to-dc resistance ratio close to 1 is also shown, providing a possible replacement to the litz wires having low window utilization factor. The paper demonstrates a design example of 13.8kV/690V, 10kHz, 50kVA transformer to validate the design methodology and the winding losses are validated using 2-D FEM.

Management policies for residential and tertiary users: A measurement campaign 住宅和第三用户的管理政策:测量运动

In the present paper, a project for the application of control in heat pumps for residential and tertiary users are reported. The focus is pointed on the experimental test to validate the algorithms and management policies applies in four experimental sites, residential and tertiary, with different types of electrical equipment. The results of the experimental measurement campaign are reported to evaluate the energy benefits obtained with control actions.
