The Innovative Marketing Strategies of MTN Cameroon 喀麦隆MTN的创新营销策略

A successful marketing strategy must tell an organization where there will want to be on a long term basis that is why is is often said that marketing strategy is a continuous process. Marketing strategy is seen as the business logic in which a firm can achieve its performance in the business organization there is no activity where the marketer must not therefore make a right decision about the four marketing mis strategies which is the price the product place or distribution and the promotion. This strategies must be done to ensure that a product performs it objectives in the market. Mobile cellular networks have revolutionized the communication sector to the extent that mobile phones have become the most preferred method of communication across the globe. MTN Cameroon was the second mobile telephone company established in year 2000. It is a private institution and it enjoyed its existence without a major competitor till the Emergence of it competitors Orange and Nextel. However MTN have been involved is very serious market strategies outsmarting one another in the process. The difference in their market strategies could better explain such margins. This assertion would better be justified through an in-depth research on the marketing strategies of MTN Cameroon and the impact they have had on their company. MTN great market share and potential and equally its productivity in business all through this long period of time and comparative advantage over time and maintenance of this position as telecommunications leader can logically be attributed to the mind blowing marketing strategies that this company uses, its marketing strategy and equally the advertisement secures the market shares and hence one can logically conclude say from the analysis of our case study- MTN Cameroon that good marketing strategies and equally positive good practices ensures the performance of the company and hence success both in the short and long run alongside a greater market share and comparative advantage over all other.

Optimizing Test and Inspection Operations in Complex Engineering Products 优化复杂工程产品的测试和检验操作

Delivery speed and product cost are critical to both our customers and our shareholders. Test cost has historically represented a third or more of overall product cost. Testing requires considerable time investments as well, especially given the nature of products in the aerospace domain, and their safety demands. In this paper we describe work in use today at a large aerospace manufacturer to optimize test and inspection operations in complex engineering products. We extend Deming’s work from the theoretical to application by applying a decision tree and data analytics to test information, resulting in significant savings in dollars and time for test and inspection operations. A bill-of-materials plus operations visualization is employed to initially identify test and inspection operation candidates for removal, and then Deming’s work is extended in this paper to determine the business case for removal, resulting in a final approval by experts driven by the underlying data. The decision tree is described, as well as algorithms to estimate failure rate and rework costs that are integral to applying Deming’s analysis. A small set of business case results for removing an inspection and a test operation using the applied analysis are shared.

Software System and Product Integration Algorithm «Government Project» 软件系统和产品集成算法«政府项目»

Reasonability of the development of new automated system for semantic data integration basing on analysis of advanced IT resource integration tools and methods is described in this article. Software system and product integration algorithm, called as “Government Project”, is proposed. This algorithm may be applied for automatic data processing. Its implementation is possible basing on computing system destined to take managerial decisions in the project and project portfolio. Technical result of algorithm application means functional expansion and acceleration of information processing. It is possible to implement this algorithm basing on the automated system which consists of server with software, at least one workstation for input of network-interconnected data. Proposed algorithm allows to create the method to process data for decision-making in the project and project portfolio, to accelerate the parameter calculation process, and to ensure guaranteed availability of all parameters required for managerial decision-making, therefore, to provide technical capacity to improve the quality of made decisions with simultaneous decrease of time required for decision-making. The most successful application of claimed automated data processing method for managerial decision-making is industrial application for decision-making and summarizing the projects using computer equipment.

Challenges in Addressing Information Security Compliance in Healthcare Research: The Human Factor 解决医疗保健研究中信息安全合规性的挑战:人为因素

This retrospective case report aimed to evaluate the impact of information security compliance in research programs across a large federal healthcare organization. The authors sought to discern whether the methodologies employed for promoting and ensuring compliance delivered the expected benefits and produced a more informed basis for employee decision-making. Data collected from compliance report assessments conducted at 103 federal research programs were reviewed and analyzed by clustering into three primary groupings (procedural, technological and behavioral). While noncompliance related to technological strategies was rare, moderate levels of procedural noncompliance was observed across most areas of analysis, and the highest rates of non-compliance identified in the behavioral category and observed across all areas of analysis, signifying the need for a more comprehensive approach to information security oversight and compliance strategies with specific consideration to those factors that impact human behavior.

Application of Strategic Decision Making to Design for Manufacture 战略决策在制造设计中的应用

Design for manufacture connects the product design process directly with the manufacturing process. The implementation of this system can be basic and done without much care. Companies face common issues when using this system such as large discrepancies between the initial idea for a product and the final product offering. An emphasis of cost savings over all other values is an easy trap to fall into when using design for manufacture. Despite low production costs, a product that tested well with audiences can still fail if the cost cutting initiatives affected the final offering too heavily. The intent of this essay is to introduce strategic decision making systems into the process to illustrate how design for manufacture can be implemented and maintained to create a more fluid product development process without sacrificing other aspects of product development; such as quality of design or consumer value. A multiple criteria decision making system can be introduced to the process to help tighten the reigns on costs while still allowing consideration for other factors. Using these two systems together allows a company to save on costs without sacrificing sales due to low quality or loss of consumer confidence.

Users’ Perceptions on the Usage of M-commerce in Bangladesh: A SWOT Analysis 孟加拉国用户对移动商务使用的认知:SWOT分析

Internet is a kind of window for business platforms commonly known as e-commerce. The term electronic commerce or e-commerce is anything that involves an online transaction. In Bangladesh big, medium even small enterprises have adopted e-business platforms, has a great potentiality to evolve e-commerce. M-commerce is a new dimension of e-commerce technology. The purpose of the research is to figure out the present scenario of m-commerce in Bangladesh to take initiative that could strengthen its future. We performed user study among local people to know their experience and opinion using it. The questionnaire were formulated based on m-commerce’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. A SWOT analysis were conducted to find realistic outcome that could be applicable to strengthen the m-commerce in Bangladesh. The secondary data is collected from Wikipedia, Ministry of Bangladesh government. The survey was conducted in different cities (Dhaka, Khulna, Rajshahi, Chittagong, Barishal, Sylhet and Rangpur) in Bangladesh. Discussions were taken place for the betterment of m-commerce as per response received from the survey and SWOT analysis result. In order to receive more realistic result the survey could be extended to more cities and local participants with different analysis method for comparison with SWOT analysis.

The consequence of queuing in relation to the time spent by customers to access financial services is increasingly becoming a major source of concern to most stakeholders, especially the banks, their teeming customers and regulatory agencies. Even more critical are the costs that accrue thereof. In this study, the queuing characteristics at the Kaura Namoda Branch of First Bank Ltd were analyzed using three service efficiency parameters – single, two and three servers. The study collected, through observation, queuing data at the bank from Monday through Wednesday to develop an optimal queuing model. Consistent with conventional wisdom and prior studies, the findings provide evidence to support the idea that the multiple-server model is more efficient than the single channel. For instance, whilst with two or three servers, a customer spends on the average, 0.0409 hours (about 3 minutes) and 0.0310 hours (about 2 minutes), the same customer spends an average of 0.2 hours (12 minutes) in the system if it is a single channel. Thus, the study concludes that higher number of servers is associated with lower average time spent in the system, a finding that is in tandem with past studies within and outside Nigeria. Drawing from these findings, the study suggests the need to increase number of servers to meet the changing expectations of the bank’s teeming customers.

Determining Trunk Lines in Call Centers with Nonstationary Arrivals and Lognormal Service Times 确定非固定到达和正常服务时间的呼叫中心中继线

Two important resources in a call center are the number of staff and the number of trunk lines required. In this paper, we focus on the decision of the number of trunk lines that a call center should have. The current practice is to use the Erlang B or the M/M/s/0 queueing model which assumes Poisson arrivals, exponential service times, s servers and no places in queue, i.e. no customers can wait. In this paper, we improve on the state of practice in determining the required number of trunk lines, by including two realistic features present in call centers. The first realistic feature is to consider nonstationarity of arrivals. The second feature is to consider the lognormal service time distribution instead of the exponential distribution. There is extensive empirical evidence for both features. In order to carry out our computations we use the results of a paper by Massey and Whitt, Operations Research, 44(6), 1996. We have two main findings. Firstly, we find numerically that in our nonstationary Erlang loss model, Mt/G/s/0, an insensitivity result holds. The blocking probability of arrivals at the call center depends only on the mean of the lognormal service time distribution and not on its variance. Our second finding is that current practice is quite robust. In particular, we find the number of trunk lines required using a stationary Poisson approximation. This approximation assumes stationary Poisson arrivals with an appropriately chosen arrival rate and exponential service times. The approximation does quite well in predicting the number of trunk lines required.

A Practical Approach for Determining the Competitive Advantages of a Business 确定企业竞争优势的实用方法

If a business is to enjoy a competitive advantage over the long-term it must be one which competitors find that expensive to copy. What will be offered to the marketplace that is unique and valuable is the competitive advantage. The purpose of this paper is helping businesses to answer the questions of “where are we?” and “what are our differential advantages?” in an effective way. This requires using practical and beneficial techniques during the comprehensive internal and comparison analysis. Internal analysis begins with a history of the business and assesses its conformity to overall goals, target groups and general strategies, etc. After identifying the strengths and weaknesses of the business, we then compare them with the key factors in the market development phases (early development, growth, maturity and decline stages), capacities of main competitors (their objectives, strengths and weaknesses, and strategic approaches), and the industry’s success factors (such as costs, relationships, knowledge and structure sources of success determinants), for identifying competitive advantages. For determination of the competitive advantages and so through comparison, using comparison worksheets would be very practical and beneficial. In short, this paper helps businesses to find out their competitive advantages by offering them totally new practical and effective analysis techniques.

Financial Statements in Individual Businesses 个体企业的财务报表

Understanding and interpreting the financial statements is an important factor for the economic entities in getting the right directions. Today, there is a general tendency to respect the harmonization of European Commission Directive IV with International Financial Reporting Standards. Responsive people need information about the business activities of any business. In this paper, we will consider how to compile and interpret key financial statements in accordance with IASs and IFRSs, which are the main users or users of information derived from these financial statements and their significance in decision-making. Financial Statements are the key elements in achieving business goals, having a bearing on creating business financial reports, auditing, databases and mandatory disclosures. The study aims to identify and analyze key indicators that affect the success and growth of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), ie their performance, and to analyze the effects that these indicators show in SME growth. In this research, several important issues and general problems of the financing system, the financial situation and the profitability of small and medium businesses in Kosovo have been addressed. Also, this paper will present, from the point of view theoretical and empirical, the link between these key performance indicators, or, say, the growth of SMEs. Therefore, the development of the SME sector is very important in Kosovo, especially given that the social problems of those countries are, to a large extent, the consequence of uneven growth.
