In modern economic conditions, the sustainable development of the state, the expansion of the economic sector and the achievement of a quality standard of living of the population is not possible without the effective functioning of the financial sector, which is the most important sector that ensures the vital activity of all sectors of the economy. The role of commercial banks as the driving force behind the development of the financial sector in the age of progress in science and technology has increased significantly and continues to grow rapidly. The article analyzes foreign experience in increasing the competitiveness of commercial banks and the prospects for its application in Uzbekistan. The purpose of the study is to designate the main directions in the field of increasing the competitiveness of a commercial bank. The results of the study can be used in the system of making strategic decisions for the development of countries with economies in transition.

This article examines the scientific-theoretical aspects of approaches to evaluating the effectiveness of services provided in retail trade networks. A methodological approach to the management of retail network services based on factors and conditions for improving the efficiency of customer service processes has been developed. Based on this methodological approach, methodological approaches have been developed to assess the level of service, customer loyalty, service quality, and customer satisfaction. On the basis of N. Kanoʻs method, directions for forming a set of main service attributes from the point of view of customers are proposed.

The article explores the issues of forecasting financial results in strategic management analysis. Using econometric models, it predicts net sales, gross (marginal) profit, profit from core (operating) activities, equity and liabilities as factors affecting financial results in specialized rice-growing clusters and farms. Based on the results obtained, scientific proposals and practical recommendations for promising development goals have been developed.

The article examines the scientific theories on the assessment of the impact of industrial agglomeration on the socio-economic development of regions, as well as the mechanisms of formation and development of industrial agglomerations. Based on the Cobb-Douglas production function, a method for assessing the impact of industrial agglomeration on regional economic growth is proposed. Based on the proposed method, the impact of industrial agglomerations on regional development in the regions of the Republic of Uzbekistan was determined based on the static agglomeration index. According to the results, it was determined that the development of industrial agglomerations has different positive and negative effects on economic growth in regions.

The article examines the New Zealand experience of the transition to inflation targeting. In particular, the necessity and reasons for New Zealand’s transition to this regime were analyzed. When adjusting inflation expectations, the Reserve Bank’s activities in cooperation with the government were taken into account. The influence of the official cash rate on market rates was also studied. In addition, the exchange rate of the “Comfort zone” and the “Trade Weighted Index” were studied as part of the monetary policy. As part of open market operations, the Reserve Bank’s “Quantitative easing” instruments were analyzed.
