The aim of the current study is to explore teachers' perception of the use of Moodle applications in online learning of English as a foreign language (EFL).This is case study research with three English teachers in vocational high school 1 Indramayu as participants. They used Moodle applications in teaching online learning for three semesters. In order to obtain teachers’ perception of the use of the Moodle application in teaching online, interviews were used to gain the data, and it was analyzed qualitatively. The result showed that most teachers had a positive perception towards using the Moodle application in teaching online learning. It helped the teachers to be more creative in delivering the materials because many options or menus can be used. It also makes the teachers more active in using technology. The teachers also agreed that online learning, especially Moodle application, was important for students. The students can easily access any resource to support the material from the teachers. The school and teachers can also monitor and control students’ activities during the teaching-learning process. However, for further research, it is suggested to investigate other different applications that are used by teachers in the teaching and learning process, whether it is online or offline.
This study aims to determine the forms and verbal violence used in comments on the @lilu_mukerji TikTok account. This study uses a qualitative descriptive research method. The data source in this study came from netizen comments on the social media TikTok. Data collection used the technique of simak bebas libat cakap (SBLC) with the recording method. The data were analyzed using the equivalent referential method with the comparative linking technique, namely connecting and comparing verbal violence based on the form of satire (cynicism, sarcasm, irony, satire, and innuendo). The analysis results show that verbal violence in netizen comments on the @lilu_mukerji TikTok account uses language styles in the form of words, phrases, and sentences. While the types of language styles netizens use are satire, sarcasm, cynicism, irony, and satire. Then from the 120 most dominant analysis data, namely sarcasm, as many as 53 in the form of words, phrases, and sentences. Cynicism, as many as 37 in the form of phrases and sentences. Irony as much as 17 in the form of phrases and sentences. There are 13 satires in the form of phrases and sentences, while the innuendo style is not found in this study. The advancement of technology has positive impacts on education. This study aims to identify teachers' and students' perceptions and the variables that impact EFL teachers' and learners' perceptions of using the English Conversation Practice application in speaking class. This study involved thirty-three pupils and three English teachers from SMK Negeri 1 Gianyar, who were chosen using the purposive sampling technique. The data were collected through interviews and observation and analyzed using the interactive data analysis model. The study results show that the students and teachers positively perceive implementing the 'English Conversation Practice' application in speaking class. Besides, the variables that impact EFL teachers' and learners' perceptions of the use of the English Conversation Practice application in speaking class were that the application gave them a new experience in learning to speak, it is simple to use, it does not require a large internet quota, and it allows for the flexibility of learning at any time and in any location. Thus, considering the study's results, it is recommended that EFL teachers use the Conversation Practice application in their speaking class.

Speaking is an activity used by the people to communicate with others. According to Zhang (2009), speaking remains the most difficult skill to master for the majority of English learners, and they are still incompetent in communicating orally in English”. Many people are difficult to speak English. This research aims to find out the effectiveness of story completion effective toward students’ speaking skill. To solve the problem above, the writer would like to apply the story completion technique in teaching speaking from Kayi (2006). Quasi-experimental was applied as the method of the research. The research was conducted in SMA N Krangkeng with 66 participants; 34 students from X MIPA 1 as the control group and 32 students from X MIPA 2 as the experimental group. To collect the data, a speaking test was given to the participants. Based on the statistical analysis the technique of story completion was successfully improved the students’ speaking ability.

ABSTRACT The study purposed to determine if application letter can improve the students writing skill. The research intent onto the students’ ability English functional writing, especially in writing application letter at the fourth semester ASM Persada Bunda Pekanbaru. The research participants were the fourth semester students of Akademi Sekretaris dan Manajemen (ASM) Persada Bunda Pekanbaru. There were 5 students. The research determined that application letter coud improve the students writing’s skill. This research is qualitative research. The writer collects the data using the test and the documentation. The test is written test of application letter in English subject for the students at the fourth semester of ASM Persada Bunda Pekanbaru. The problem in this study was the students’ common difficulties in TOEFL Reading Comprehension. This study only used one variable. The research method used in this study was a descriptive research. The purpose of this study was to know the students’ common difficulties in TOEFL Reading Comprehension on the second semester of English Study Program at Islamic University of Indragiri Tembilahan. The total of the sample used in this study were 23 students, the technique was used to take the sample is total sampling. In collecting the data, the researcher used a test. After the data has been collected, the result of test showed that the skills that are considered to be the most difficult ones in TOEFL reading, which is skill 3. This skill is identifying stated detail questions correctly. It is the highest percentage (84%) with the total of incorrect answer is 210 from 5 items. Then, it is followed by skill 5 (82%) with the total of incorrect answer is 82 from 2 items, which is finding pronoun reference. It is the second most difficult skill for the students. The third most difficult skill is skill 7. It is responding of transition question achieve 81% with the total of incorrect answers is 81 from 2 items. Next, skill 10 is considered to be the fourth most difficult skill in TOEFL reading comprehension. The questions are about the use of context to give meaning of difficult word which is counted 80 % from the total of incorrect answers is 120 from 3 items. Then, the fifth most difficult skill in TOEFL reading comprehension is skill 1, which is consisting the questions about answering main idea questions correctly, students made 78% of the total incorrect answers is 156 from 4 items.

The purpose of this research is to know students' perception of teachers' strategy in teaching English of MTs Nurul Huda Parit 5 Sungai Luar. This research design is descriptive quantitative. The total populations are 195 students that consist of 98 males and 97 females. So, the sampling process was a total sampling because all students were chosen as the samples. To collect the data, the researcher used the questionnaire as the research instruments. From the data analysis, it was known that students’ perception on teachers’ strategy in teaching English at the fifth generation in 2015 of MTs Nurul Huda Parit 5 Sungai Luar in this research is categorized as good where the percentage is 86.42%.
