Northeast Asia Power Interconnection Routs and Representative Studies in South Korea 东北亚电力互联路径及韩国代表性研究

In this paper, we present recent representative case studies about technical and economical considerations for the power system interconnection in Northeast Asia (NEA). These activities on interconnection between countries or areas in a NEA have been considered and presented from many sides including considering political and economical situations. In South Korea, recent studies of power system interconnection are trending toward specific technical and economical considerations for each of several scenarios. In this paper, strategies for future power system interconnection routs in Northeast Asia (NEA) are presented for various cases of power system interconnections, and include reliability studies, power flow studies on technical sides and economic feasibility studies.

A Study of the Transmission Price Conjecture in an Oligopolistic Power Market 寡头垄断电力市场中输电价格猜想的研究

This paper presents a conjectured supply function (CSF) equilibrium models of oligopolistic competition among electricity producers formulated as mixed linear complementarity problems (MLCP). Similar to the conjectured supply function approach, a conjectured transmission price (CTP) response function is formulated in order to model how generating companies can influence the transmission price. The model simulates a bilateral market design based on a point-to-point transmission pricing scheme corresponding to the locational marginal pricing (LMP) based congestion management. The focus of this paper is to study the outcome of the market equilibrium by a stepwise increase of each strategic generator's CTP response parameter. An estimation of this parameter will not be within the scope of this paper. The results show that strategic generators behave more profitably when they have some information about how to affect transmission prices. However, depending on where they are located with respect to the congested transmission line, they pursue different policies in terms of manipulating congestion prices. A three-node network is presented to illustrate the application.

We introduce in this paper a new approach for efficiently identifying Nash equilibria for games composed of large numbers of players having discrete and not too large strategy spaces. The approach is based on a characterization of Nash equilibria in terms of minima of a function and relies on stochastic optimization algorithms to find these minima. The approach is applied to compute Nash equilibria of some electricity markets and, based on the simulation results, its performances are discussed.

Voltage sag source location at grid interconnections: a case study in the Zambian system 电网互连电压暂降源位置:赞比亚系统案例研究

This paper describes a case study to find the location of the voltage sag source at a petroleum industrial facility where sags are causing undesired trips on critical loads. The network that supplies this industrial facility is operated by basically two transmission and distribution utilities. Therefore, finding the location of the disturbance source is a first step in mitigation and decisive in allocating responsibilities.

Implementation of Open Loop Testing Schemes for the Assessment of the Power System Dynamic Operation 电力系统动态运行评估开环测试方案的实施

This contribution highlights the importance of the implementation of open loop testing schemes in the assessment of the power system operation. These testing schemes can be used to solve most of the needs related to the assessment of the power system dynamic operation and can be applied in a simple way and at low cost, in comparison with closed loop schemes that require the use of an expensive real-time simulator. It is not intended in this contribution to minimize the importance of the realtime simulators but just highlight the importance of the open loop testing schemes.

Assessment of Power Quality Indexes In Tehran Distribution Company 德黑兰配电公司电能质量指标评价

Power quality has become an increasing concern to utilities and customers. The increased concern has resulted in measuring power quality variations and characteristic disturbances for different distribution companies. This paper explains the results of power quality indexes for 50 customer loads at two voltage levels 20kV and 400v. The measurement period is 7 days with 10 minutes intervals. Also this survey has been presented according to IEC61000 and Iranian Power Quality Standard (IPQS). IPQS has some differences from IEC61000, EN50160 and IEEE standards in power quality indexes, which are investigated in this paper. At the end of paper, individual and global power indicators for all disturbances and a set of measurement instruments are introduced and applied to these data collections, respectively. These indicators have been defined to easily understand and implement by operators.

Induced Voltage on Gas Pipeline With Angle Between a Transmission Line 输气管线间带夹角的感应电压

This work presents the study of the influence of the electrostatic and magnetostatic fields from a power transmission line over a gas pipeline distribution system, for a non-parallel configuration. This approach is based on the nodal model analysis for power line, quantifying the capacitive and self and mutual impedance effects, due to the geometrical configuration of both systems, as they depend on the power line voltage and on the current in conductors, respectively. The non-parallelism is treated by piecewise approximation, discretizing these effects in a longitudinal and transversal way. An application was realized for a non-grounded gas pipeline configuration and with a mitigation wires protection system over the gas pipeline.

Active MV Distribution Network Planning Coordinated with Advanced Centralized Voltage Regulation System 与先进集中调压系统相协调的有源中压配电网规划

Traditional voltage regulation systems for distribution networks fail to achieve their objective in presence of local generation resources as they are designed for passive distribution systems and based on assumptions that may not hold if distributed generation (DG) is connected to the network. An advanced centralised voltage regulation system has been studied by the authors to allow a greater DG penetration and a high quality service to customers. However, depending on the characteristics of the specific network, it could be sometimes impossible to solve some operating conflicts between voltage regulation and correct DG operation. In practice, in order to connect a greater amount of DG, it might be necessary, not only to revise the employed regulation criteria, but also to act at the planning stage to make specific changes in the structure of a distribution system. In this view the paper presents a planning procedure that, besides existing distribution system data bases, load variation forecast, environmental/climatic conditions, and planners experience, takes into account information directly provided by the operation of the aforementioned advanced voltage regulation system.

This paper presented a technique to extract rules in order to identify attacks and faults to improve security of electric power control systems. By using rough sets classification algorithm, a set of rules can be defined. The approach tries to reduce the number of input variables and the number of examples, offering a more compact set of examples to fix the rules to the anomaly detector. An illustrative example is presented.

Hybrid Method for Calculating the Maximum Loading Point using Continuation Load Flow and Nonlinear Programming Techniques 用连续潮流和非线性规划技术计算最大荷载点的混合方法

The computation of the maximum loading point (MLP) is crucial to power systems operation and control, There are several methodologies proposed to compute it. The continuation load flow (CLF) is very robust, widely known to draw PV curves, and can be also used for computing the MLP. However it has some drawbacks, the procedure may diverge for some cases and it is very conservative for some networks, taking many iterations. Other efficient technique using nonlinear programming (NLP) has been proposed recently. This method presents clear advantages due to the orientation of the process in direction to the MLP. This paper presents a method based on the CLF and NLP. The idea is to compute the MLP taking some features of the CLF combined with characteristics of NLP. With this combination the MLP can be evaluated with more accuracy and efficiency. Simulations for different systems including IEEE test systems are shown to evaluate the performance of the method. Some comparisons of the methodologies are also shown.
