In today's world, where everyone wants to keep their valuables safe and secure, video surveillance for observing a particular area has become the need of the hour. To address this problem, we have come up with a solution of smart surveillance system for certain places like bank vaults, homes where the human presence is not available. At such places, it is not worth to continuously monitor the area with the cameras. This wastes the power consumption as well as the storage required for the footages. Our system will detect human presence using PIR sensor. Raspberry Pi operates and controls motion detecting sensors and video cameras for remote sensing and surveillance, streams live video and records it for future playback. On detection of any movement the cameras will trigger the surveillance. The proposed system captures information and transmits it via Internet to smartphones and laptops. Live streaming is done throughout the WAN i.e. also available within different LANs. Extensive human monitoring of the incoming video channels is impractical, expensive and ineffective. Using a universal sample-based background subtraction algorithm called ViBe (Visual Background Extractor), we detect motion in red alert zone i.e. a place in the room where the valuables are placed, for any suspicious activity and we send an alarm to the user. The video recorded and stored can be used to identify the intruder and help in catching him. To preserve privacy and securely transmit the video footage over the network, we are using blowfish encryption and decryption algorithm to provide extra security from hackers.

This paper presents the novel method for evaluating intercept factor of a newly developed prototype of solar circular line concentrator. For evaluating intercept factor, flux variation across the focal plane is measured by novel method using receiver diameters of 0.029m, 0.0165mm and 0.010m. Obtained results are plotted which gives a normal distribution curve, indicating intercept factor is function of receiver diameter. Obtained experimental results are validated with theoretical it is revealed that results of intercept factor calculation are similar and within the accepted limit.

With the more increase in population which is leading to rapid fossil fuel depletion and adding more pollution into environment, there will be more demand of Electric Vehicle in the future and with the more EV's going to come on road having old power distribution infrastructure it will bring charging problem of EV. Home charging of EV will bring overloading of transformer thus producing adverse effect on smart grid. In such conditions monitoring of EV charging plays a vital role in EV charge Scheduling and to monitor the power loading pattern of different houses under a transformer while EV charging by monitoring the smart meter. In this paper by Non-Intrusive load monitoring (NILM) an algorithm is developed that will disaggregate EV charging load and kWh consumed by EV from the aggregated power signal (real power in watts) of many appliances. This algorithm can also identify EV in presence of other high wattage appliances. Advantage of this algorithm is that it even works with low sampling rate of per second data (1/60 Hz) and can be easily trained with the area specific EV charging known database thus giving high estimation accuracy. This algorithm is checked on a monthly data of a house giving accuracy of more than 90 percentage with the output information of how much kWh energy has been consumed by EV and the mean square error only 0.05 in disaggregating EV charging load.

Stable infrastructure aims at producing error free result, continuous working and in case of obstacle, it should dynamically revise values of parameters and try to continue its operation as that of normal. WSN is now reached up to stable state and hence it is widely accepted. In military operation, they use micro, Nano technology equipment which are equipped with robotic circuits, high quality sensors and robust communication equipment to face practical natural challenges. They need highly stable equipment's and power source. Instead of stable sensor, here we are assuming if sensors are capturing images from flying objects and those are autonomous flying object. What if live video stream need to be transferred using multi hop? So, transmission to base station is a challenge. This paper discusses about capturing image, routing in multi hop network and recreation of image as well as video. Push back algorithm is useful which can create queue of cache and each node act as a cache for other nodes since all node circulate data chunk in a pipeline manner.

Spirituality and workplace Attitude of Employees have an important relationship; it differs when the person changes. It is quite difficult to compare both Attitude and Spirituality. The study assesses the reliability and validity of the measures used and it certainly discusses the results that came out from the analysis which says whether workplace Attitude has a Positive or Negative impact on Spirituality. For an Employee he interacts more time in his Work Environment may be 3/4 of his day. So the study helps to come out with a result that shows whether they are able to manage their stress or pressure with the help of spirituality. Now a day's employees are suffering a lot of stress and pressure from their organization to complete their work before the deadlines given and to achieve their target. So this research paper mainly focuses on one aspect that is, does Spirituality plays a significant role in employee's workplace attitude. This paper looks in to the factors that support spirituality deals within the traditional understanding in employing workplace spirituality and also the connection between spirituality and individual and organizational results. This study was mainly conducted to check whether the spiritual factors have any influence on attitude of an employee in his work place, so the study considered 10 factors, which is related to spirituality. The results show the attitude is related to the spirituality in an organization, there is a positive impact between them.

Financial Inclusion is one of the stated objectives of National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (NREGA) — world's largest Employment Guarantee Scheme. Even though financial inclusion efforts began in India in 2005, large sections of rural India still remain financially excluded. At the time of this work, possessing a bank/ post office account has not been mandated by the Government of India for gaining NREGA employment — our work, therefore focuses on the role of access to formal banking on the breadth and depth of participation in Employment Guarantee Schemes. We find evidences of positive impact of access to formal banking on demand for NREGA jobs as well as extent of participation. We also find interesting contrasts between individual and joint bank account holders in demand for labor as well as participation.

Intrusion Detection System (IDS) for vehicular ad-hoc networks (VANETs) is proposed to detect the false information reporting is done by the rogue nodes in the network using anomaly based detection approach. To evaluate the system, Road Side Unit (RSU) is implemented within the communication ranges so that the entire test geographic region is covered. With this every node, which is calculating the global parameter flow will get meta-information from RSUs in whose communication range remains the node. Hence, the anonymity of the location of the vehicle can be assured. Rogue nodes are introduced in the system and IDS is used to detect these rogue nodes.

The aim of the paper is to study enhancement techniques included Gaussian filter, wiener, median, histogram equalization, weighted median, hybrid filters, multiscale retinex with color restoration and Lee filtering, Homomorphic filtering. Above filtering techniques used on cotton leaf images to enhance their appearance for diagnosis purpose. In the paper various techniques are studied to find optimal solution by evaluating parameters Peak Signal to Noise Ratio (PSNR), Mean Square Error (MSE), Mean Absolute Error (MAE) and MAXERR values of the image after de-noising. It is proved that Median Filter gives best solution and can be used for further processing.

In this paper, we introduced a novel local spatio-temporal feature descriptor for human action recognition. Our proposed descriptor is based on the Histogram of Directional Derivative (HODD). Histogram of gradient (HOG) has been widely used to generate the descriptor for local features for human action recognition. The distinctiveness of descriptor is essential to match similar action and differentiate different action. However most of the techniques in literature for HOG is based on orientation quantization leading to the reduction of the distinctiveness. Our proposed descriptor describes the local object shape and appearance within cuboid effectively and distinctively.
