Force and thermal effect in bus-bar systems are investigated. The goal of this research is to find the configuration exhibiting their minimum possible values. The computations are carried out numerically, using the fully adaptive higher-order finite element method. The methodology is illustrated with several examples whose results are discussed.

Within this work, the analysis of the selected arterial system segments were performed regarding to various hematocrit values. Properties of arteries were transformed to electrical quantities by using electromechanical analogy. There is theory of two port electrical circuits, which was used for analysis of the selected arterial segments. The characteristic voltage and current transfers were calculated in order determine the atrial properties as function of frequency for the various hematocrit values. The work deals with model of blood viscosity assuming non - Newtonian flow and then combines it with Newtonian blood flow, which is characteristic for the used arterial system model. The impact of different hematocrit values on the selected arterial segments is evaluated.

This article represents a specific case study on customer flows in a multi-storey polyclinic. The study is focused primarily on the problem of customer comfort in terms of waiting room capacities and other bottlenecks of the system. Clear recommendations on future reconstructions of the polyclinic were based on the case study. The scope of the study covers uncommon situations (dysfunctional lift) as well. An arena software program was utilised for realisation. The entirety of the case study was realised by the team; from data collection and analysis, through creation of a simulation model, all the way to data evaluation and preparation of alternative scenarios.

The article deals with the analysis of series - series-compensated circuit for systems of contactless charging of electricity in electromobility applications. The article introduces an analysis of the transfer characteristics of the system depending on change of the distance and of the transmitted power. Mathematical analysis will be used for the purposes of implementation of simulation experiments. Operating points for different operating distances that are characterized by a maximum value of power efficiency and high value of the transmitted power are determined on the basis of simulation results. Confirmation of results of numerical and mathematical analysis through experimental verification is provided in the conclusion.

The paper analyzes a possible source of destructive rotor vibration of high-power induction motor working as drive for water pump in power plant. The machine has no available documentation and therefore the winding design and the power balance are both made prior the investigation of vibration source. Based on this analyses the recommendations for the rotor overhauling are given.

Paper deals with mathematical modelling of impulse waveforms and impulse switching functions used in electrical engineering. Using z-transformation the impulse switching functions can be obtained for any discrete time instant as impulse sequences of exciting functions. Applying such an impulse sequence to electrical circuit the response of state variables can be investigated using inverse z-transformation. Theoretical derived wave-forms are verified by LT-Spice circuit simulator and compared to those of simulation worked-out results.

Each electronic device, from any consumer or industrial sector needs power supply. This power supply must satisfy nowadays certifications and efficiency standards. One of the progressive topology shall be dual half-bridge topology. This topology is formed by two branches - lagging and leading. In this paper, the efficiency of dual half bridge converter is analyzed. For this purpose experimental prototype with diode rectifier as well as synchronous rectifier is evaluated. The concept of proposed converter is targeting efficiency higher than 96%.

A novel concept of monostable electromagnetic actuator with a magnetically moved plunger is proposed. The actuator takes advantage of permanent magnet for assuring stable position of the plunger and single solenoid coil for full control. The main advantage of the concept is safety of operation and high dynamic response. Consequently, major application of the novel actuator is a valve for controlling critical parts of hydraulic or pneumatic systems. Presented is the basic concept of the actuator together with its numerical investigation, design of the first prototype with closed-loop control and its experimental verification.
