It’s been over a year now and Covid-19 is still among us and most of the countries are still in fight against Covid-19. Lockdown was the only possible solution but the impact of lockdowns on economies was devastated. Atmanirbhar Bharat (Self-Reliant India) a Covid-19 pandemic economic package of twenty lakh crore rupees was announced by the Indian central government on the 12th of May, 2020. The package was released to make the country independent and to primarily empower the poor, labourers, and migrants who were adversely affected by Covid-19.

In 2015, India adopted the UN‟s Agenda for Sustainable Development Goal 4 which aims to “ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all”. As the existent educational system was inadequate to meet the desired sustainable goal, the Indian government introduced the New Education Policy (NEP) in 2020. Considered as an inclusive education policy that focuses on fostering knowledge and value-based education, this study aims to evaluate the paradigm of NEP in the higher education sector. The study collected data from official policy documents (from the Ministry of Human Resource Development website) and Twitter to explore the critical areas in the NEP. By adopting the qualitative analysis method, the data were analysed using computer-assisted qualitative data analysis software. After mining the data from tweets and policy documents, sentiment analysis and other forms of graphical representations were conducted. The study identified three themes namely students, language and discipline. The sentiment analysis revealed that the majority of the people were optimistic about the implementation of the NEP in the higher education sector. The study suggests practical implications for the higher educational institutes (HEIs), teachers and researchers.

mHealth now, more than ever, need to be integrated with existing health systems to further contactless healthcare and health delivery solutions. Studies have reported that mHealth can ensure enhanced health outcomes, ample patient care and offer quality support for professional health workers. Several studies have examined the potential of mHealth from various stakeholder perspectives. However, a serious dearth of studies exists that examine the advantages and challenges of using this technology from mHealth users‘ perspective especially in the rural context. This study examines the use of mobile phones for health-related purposes from the perspective of rural people belonging to the South Indian state of Karnataka. The focus is on their use of mobile phone to seek medical assistance, health information and services. The study also seeks to understand the barriers and challenges faced by the rural folk in accessing health related services, information and assistance through mobile phones. A qualitative research approach using in-depth interviews as data collection tool, was applied. Mobile phones are reported as useful by the rural mobile phone users for receiving health-related messages as well as for accessing help during emergency health conditions. However, to enable equity of use of this technology in the rural scenario and also for the government to use this technology for providing responses during public health emergencies such as COVID-19, challenges such as the existing mobile phone infrastructure, digital illiteracy and perceived health concerns of mobile phone use among rural folk need to be addressed.

The digital journey of learning has been of different perceptions to different communities. We study the perception of students regarding online learning during the lockdown period in three different communities of India i.e. rural, urban and metropolitan on the basis of survey of 411 students during lockdown period. Ten problem statements have been considered to be rated at Likert’s Five Scale. To check the reliability, Cronbach's α, to analyze the data- mean & standard deviation and to validate the results t-test and Post Hoc Test have been used. It is concluded that majority of students have smart phones in urban and metropolitan but neutral to learning while rural students prefer the conventional leaning. This study contributes to the new theory of the efficacy of digital learning as mode of learning in and after lock down period that will bring the attention of educational agencies, faculty members as well as policy makers towards the problems faced by the students in digital learning.

With the advent of the internet and the subsequent increase in use and accessibility, the social media networks have particularly emphasised in terms of the news being shred online. However, this has caused a drastic change in the assessment and obtaining of the real information. Hence, this paper has aimed to assess the impacts of fake news and myths regarding the novel Covid-19 pandemic. Through the systematic review of the related studies and support through relevant literature, the findings of the research include various harmful impacts of the notion. This ranges from small impacts such as spread of misinformation to more sinister impacts such as the wrongful utilisation of drugs for curing the disease. Moreover, the paper also mentions the various motives behind the spread of such false information, primarily fuelled by collecting monetary benefits in terms of digital marketing, etc. Overall, the study concludes the impacts of spread of fake news and myths are generally harmful to the public at large. In addition, some recommendations for future hedging against the notion and future studies have also been make.

Present world is information-driven. News, information, facts, figures, data are the few terms which are pedalling the wheels of the present life and human being too. The digitalisation has transformed the media in different ways. Apart from the traditional media platforms like radio, newspaper, magazines, and television, the new and speedy news delivery platforms has made the information accessible in a few seconds. The online platform like Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, WhatsApp, and various other social media, has transformed the people behaviour and expectations. Now the information can be accessed, obtained anytime and anywhere. Media has played a tremendous part in Covid times too. It has helped to spread the information about this deadly infectious very quickly. Almost every media platform is bombarded with ample information regarding Covid updates like new cases, deaths, number of tests conducted, recovery rates, precautions to be followed, etc. People tend to believe every piece of information coming their way. It has been difficult to differentiate that which chunk of information is to be trusted and which is fake. This paper has presented the respondents' sentiment regarding the information which they have come across Covid times. The qualitative analysis has been conducted using NVIVO 12 to extract the respondents' viewpoint about the exaggeration of media on coronavirus disease.

A striking feature of the 21st century is the technological innovations that interfere in linguistic study and in social practices based on contemporaneity, especially, writing and reading. These social practices are the target of major revolutions from technology and electronic supports, which provided the creation of a range of communicative networks in the virtual world, establishing an infinite communicative link between different cultures and generations. The use of such platforms and the way reading is used might be an improvement tool for teaching English in Arab schools, associating its use in social networks and methodologies to guide the appropriate use for this new knowledge, for example, the use of media texts, since there is a change in society‟s behaviour with technological developments in seeking texts that can be read quickly and that bring complete information. Thinking about the interactive patterns emerging in cyber-culture sends our attention to social networks on the internet, which attract an increasing number of users and that is undeniably reflected in the offline reality. This research encourages deepening the studies about the students‟ experience with learning academic English writing skills through social media. To achieve the aim of this study, an exploratory descriptive study was developed, with a qualitative approach. The secondary data was used in the formation of this research. The online databases were the first priority of the researcher for data extraction as due to COVID-19, going to libraries was not possible. This research opens the door for new questions, bringing a priori the perspective for new field of research. The results from the research show that with critical theoretical material from several writers and extensive observation in favour of the use of social media in improving writing skills, it was noticed that there is a change in the way English is being perceived among Arab students, especially in the use of hypertext, the uses of social networks become a differentiating element in improving written English academic skills, if well applied in the didactic actions of writing.

Social Media has invaded all walks of life including the way we consume content. The literature is rich with research on various aspects of social media and its impact on user behavior, organisations, and the society. This systematic literature review has been done to highlight the key themes and methodologies in extant literature for social media and its impact on user behavior. With 61 journal articles as the base of this review, 4 main research themes emerged, namely consumer motivation, effects of the platform format, content type, and the inverse impact of user behavior on the platforms. On exploration of the methodologies used in the relevant literature, a variety of approaches i.e. qualitative, quantitative, mixed, and non-empirical studies have been used to analyze social media usage and its impact on user behavior. Based on the methodological and thematic review, recommendations are provided for future research.
