Analysis of a multi-phase interleaved bidirectional DC/DC power converter with coupled inductor 带耦合电感的多相交错双向DC/DC功率变换器分析

This paper proposes a novel multi phase interleaved bi-directional dc/dc power converter to interface two dc sources of different voltage levels which applied for energy storage systems in high power level. The converter is proposed to reduce the input and output ripples, as well as, the size of passive components once the voltage and current ripple in the filters are four times higher than the switching frequency. A coupled inductor is employed to equal current splitting between the switch branch of the converter and obtain higher power density, and to reduce conduction loss, applying a multi phase interleaving technique. The operation and theoretical analysis of the converter are presented with different modes of power transfer. Furthermore, the key operational principle and simulation results are presented showing the converter operation in both directions of the power flow.

Design of a MIMO IMC-TS fuzzy speed controller for PMSM 永磁同步电机MIMO IMC-TS模糊速度控制器的设计

This paper presents the design of a Fuzzy speed controller for a permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM), based on a MIMO model of the motor, internal model controller (IMC) and Takagi-Sugeno Fuzzy modeling technique. The outputs of the MIMO of the PMSMl are the d-axis stator current and the mechanical speed, which are required to control the speed of PMSM below and above its nominal speed. A MIMO model allows a better representation of the influence between these outputs signals. Takagi-Sugeno Fuzzy controllers and internal model controllers allows reducing the steady-state error. Linear matrix inequalities were used to get the local controllers and set the dynamics of the close-loop plant. Simulation and experimental tests using hardware-in-the-loop prove the accuracy of the proposed controller, even considering variation in the motor parameters.

Facing the changes on the generation profile of the current energy systems, new technologies are required to follow such developments. The Lithium-ion battery energy storage systems are a choice for ensure the frequency stability of the system. Hence, this paper studying the charge and discharge behavior of these devices when connected to microgrid in order to execute the primary frequency regulation service.

On the study of the interleaving technique using an interphase transformer considering the use of SIC 基于SIC的间相变压器交织技术研究

This paper compares the classic bidirectional boost converter with the interleaved boost one using an interphase transformer. A loss analysis considering the use of silicon carbide switches is performed considering two different scenarios: same number of commutations for both converters and same volume of magnetic cores. In both cases, the total silicon area is considered to be equal. The study shows that the structure using the interleave technique presents smaller losses, even when the same magnetic volume is maintained.

This paper presents a project methodology of the series LC tank for an isolated bidirectional dual active bridge converter. The inductance and capacitance of the LC tank are calculated by taking into account the behavior of power transfer, AC side rms current, power factor and voltages on L and C. This analysis defines suitable operation regions. Simulation and experimental results validate the proposed project methodology.

Adaptive observer for sensorless permanent magnet synchronous machines with online pole placement 无传感器永磁同步电机在线排极自适应观测器

This paper presents a rotor speed estimation method applied to Permanent Magnet Synchronous Machines (PMSM) based on an adaptive Luenberger observer. adaptive observer is designed through the PMSM model. An online pole placement algorithm is proposed to improve the observer performance. The Luenberger observer gains are updated in accordance with the rotor speed variation. The design methodology of the pole placement of the observer is discussed. Experimental results are presented to validate the proposed technique.

Simplified educational platform for SVPWM control of a two-level three-phase inverter using Matlab GUI and FPGA 基于Matlab GUI和FPGA的两电平三相逆变器SVPWM控制简化教学平台

Space Vector Pulse Width Modulation (SVPWM) is widely used in three-phase inverters. Besides, Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) is a powerful tool in the development of digital controllers applied to power electronics. However, the teaching of these topics for undergraduate and postgraduate students is a difficult task. For this reason, this paper presents a new educational platform based on the integration of a Graphical User Interface (GUI) and FPGA for the didactic teaching of SVPWM. The user defines the DC voltage source of the inverter, the magnitude and angle of the reference space vector in the GUI. As a result, the GUI shows the modulation index, working sector, duty cycle and the switching pulses in each phase. Simultaneously, the results of these calculations are sent to the FPGA through serial communication. Thus, the switching patterns are also generated in the FPGA in real time, which can be used for experimental tests. These experimental tests show that the pulses generated for each phase by the FPGA and the GUI are equivalent. Therefore, the proposed didactic platform helps in the teaching process and motivates the use and research of both SVPWM algorithms and FPGAs for undergraduate and postgraduate students.

FPGA applied to the control of DC-AC converters using repetitive and feedforward control laws FPGA应用于直流-交流变换器的重复和前馈控制

There is a current and notable growth in the number of Electrical Engineering applications that incorporate devices known asthe Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA). Such devices can be defined as an integrated circuit, which can be configured to exercise a specific function at any moment after its manufacture. The present study puts forward an example for the application of this device in the area of Power Electronics, centered on a particular use in output voltage control of a sinusoidal PWM inverter. All the control elements of the inverter unit, the generation of the sinusoidal reference signal, the error calculation, the repetitive along with PD-feedforward control actions and the unipolar PWM modulation are all embedded on the FPGA. The level at which FPGA evolution has occurred is not restricted only to hardware, but as shown in this study, the developmental software also presents a high level of abstraction, which avoids low level programming, thus accelerating development. With the aim of demonstrating the applicable viability of the FPGA in Power Electronics, experimental results are provided for a classic application encountered in the Literature. Configuration details are also presented for the FPGA, through use of the System Generator pack.

Performance comparison of different power modules applied in photovoltaic inverters during harmonic current compensation 光伏逆变器中不同功率模块在谐波电流补偿中的性能比较

The increasing of PV systems connected to distribution system affect significantly the grid power stability. Some works propose to use the PV inverter excess capacity to support harmonic compensation. The main drawback of this solution is the increase of losses in the converter during the execution of this task. Therefore, this paper analyzes the power losses in the PV inverter components (semiconductor switches and diodes) during the harmonic compensation process. Simulations considering a 5kW three-phase PV inverter are performed with focus on conduction and switching losses.

Design of a high-power factor offline led driver employing a Ćuk-based low frequency pre-regulator 采用Ćuk-based低频预调节器的高功率因数离线led驱动器的设计

This paper presents a discussion about the use of a low frequency Ćuk-based pre-regulator as an offline LED driver and its application to a street lighting LED luminaire. This AC-DC converter may provide high power factor, low input current distortion and compliance with IEC 61.000-3-2 Class C standard, which limits the emission of harmonic currents of lighting equipment. The analysis of the Ćuk pre-regulator is revised and a simplified method of microcontrolled control is proposed. Experimental results are shown to an LED luminaire which delivers around 80 W to the lighting devices. For the presented prototype, no electrolytic capacitors are required, which define an extended lifetime for this driver. Moreover, the proposed LED driver can make use of conventional choke inductors employed in nowadays HID-ballasts.
