This work describes study on the speaker verification rate, using the TESPAR (Time Encoding Signal Processing and Recognition) coding method, when the speech signal is sampled at different rates. The effect of filtering on the speech signal was studied, as well. The TESPAR method is a processing and recognition method in the time domain, proposed by R.A. King. The key problem is to define the TESPAR alphabet used for the TESPAR coding process. In this paper is proposed an approach to generate this alphabet using the Kohonen Neural Networks in a vector quantization process. For the recognition process parallel Multi Layer Perceptron (MLP) neural network were used. As inputs for training/test vectors of the MLP-NN, the TESPAR-S matrices were employed.
本文采用TESPAR (Time Encoding Signal Processing and Recognition,时间编码信号处理与识别)编码方法,对语音信号在不同采样率下的说话人验证率进行了研究。研究了滤波对语音信号的影响。TESPAR方法是由R.A.

Frequently the distortions in an inductive circuit are analyzed and characterized by the ration between the amplitude of the superior harmonics of the induced signal and the amplitude of the first harmonic. More often the second and the third harmonics are considered. The paper tries to demonstrate to importance which must be done to the superior harmonic in order to characterize the response and magnetic properties of the soft ferrite core.

The paper presents the steps in computer-aided design of analog low and high-pass filters. The design starts with a classical filter, and then is multicriteria optimized to meet the behavioral and implementation requirements. The computer-aided tool uses Mathematica for symbolic computation of the objective function and its gradient, MATLAB for the optimization process.

A new approach to parameter identification for linear circuits is presented. Approximate symbolic pole/zero expressions are equated to numerical values of poles and zeros extracted from gain vs. frequency characteristics. For illustration, parameters of an equivalent circuit of a separation transformer are identified.

3D-DCT technique is used in video system to eliminate the need for motion vectors computations in the encoder or motion compensation computations in the decoder. This paper focuses on the hardware implementation of the video encoder/decoder system design. A complete design of the quantizer and VLC in the encoder side, as well as design of dequantizer and VLD in the decoder side is implemented to complete the system. Finally the system is targeted on one of the well-known Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs) provided by ALTERA Corp. and simulated using sample inputs.

There are few techniques for the reduction of interference terms. The most important between them is the reallocation technique. Other methods are based on the decomposition in frames of the signals to be processed. These frames represent discrete variants of some corresponding linear time-frequency representations. The aim of this paper is to propose a new method for the Wigner-Ville time-frequency representation's interference term reduction. This method is based on the conjoint use of the Gabor and Wigner-Ville time-frequency representations of the same signal. Simulations prove the performances of the new method.

This work tries to be an answer to the problem of the ice formations on the road and over the taking of landing ways surfaces. As we all know, the unpredicted apparition of the ice over the roads and in the airports is the main cause of the majority human and material looses in those two places. The neuronal prediction system wants to be an alternative to the existent forecasting systems. This system will combine the last moment technique like the networks, the software (Labview, Matlab) and the most modern programming approach: neuronal networks, neuro-fuzzy systems, statistical signal processing, and the result wants to be a prediction system for the ice formation which is very precise and less expensive than the existent systems.

Analysis of thermal noise in switched-capacitor multi-bit gain-stages used in low-voltage high-resolution pipeline analog-to-digital converters is presented. The analytical expression obtained for the input referred noise power, which should be considered in the design procedure, is general for any number of bits being resolved and shows that the noise power is decreased when more bits are resolved in the stage.

Steady FPGA density and speed improvement in recent years has paved the path for realization of larger Neural Networks On a Programmable Chip (NNOPC), a high performance and low cost alternative to traditional physical implementations of artificial neural networks. In this paper, we propose a parametric approach for mapping artificial neural networks onto FPGA structures, as well as an optimization method to reduce area requirements of the synthesized hardware. Applying this method to a sample neuron, we achieved a 30% reduction in hardware resource requirements of the synaptic multiplier.

A switching voltage regulator must show high efficiency, good regulation, low output-voltage ripple, and also stability and fast transient response. The use of additional feedback signal(s) from the inductance currents and capacitor voltages keeps the overall phase shift of the control-to-composite-feedback transfer function lower than -π/2. The error amplifier can be built to add only -π/2 phase shift and thus the switching power supply becomes unconditionally stable can have much faster transient response than single-feedback regulator. Another key condition for the stability of double dc-dc converters is the first-section LC-circuit damping.
