Design and optimization of a soybean supply chain network under uncertainty 不确定条件下大豆供应链网络的设计与优化

Demands of foods have been increased in recent years for human and animal nutrition. Food supply chain management has been required to administer series of products and services in efficient ways for agriculture and food production to achieve customer satisfaction at the lowest cost. Agricultural systems have been changed during recent years, and have caused improvements in consumption and production patterns. However, there is not much research on supply chains of seeds (e.g., soybean) which have been produced in Canada. In this research, we propose a mixed-integer linear optimization formulation for a soybean supply chain network. The profit is maximized in the objective function. The mathematical formulation consists of multiple products, growers, potential farm company facilities, potential locations of distributers, and customers. Then, the mathematical model is extended by possibilistic approach to include uncertain parameters. In addition, the results are discussed and analyzed for the soybean supply chain network.

Green supply chain management: learning from Indian chemical sector 绿色供应链管理:对印度化工行业的借鉴

The purpose of this paper is to understand current and desired status of the environmental responsiveness of supply chains in India. The objective of this study is to explore the framework for GSCM implementation in Indian context. A self-administered questionnaire was developed containing three parts, i.e., GSCM drivers, GSCM practices and GSCM performance. The total sample size was 180 consisting of MSMEs in chemical business. The dimensions for GSCM drivers, practices and performance were explored and their interrelationships were analysed. It was found that GSMC drivers create significant impact on GSCM practices, which in turn creates significant impact on GSCM performance. Most relevant studies about framework for GSCM implementation has not addressed properly in Indian context. This new framework fills the gap of the absence of strategies for GSCM implementation in India.

Production and distribution scheduling optimisation in a three-stage integrated supply chain using genetic algorithm 基于遗传算法的三阶段集成供应链生产与配送调度优化

This paper addresses an integrated P-D scheduling model arising in a three-stage supply chain, which involves three stages: a single vehicle after processing by different suppliers, manufacturers, distributors and consumers located in separate geographic regions. The contribution of this paper is to provide an integrated P-D scheduling under fixed departure times in supply chain with consideration of transportation fleet, integration of supplier-manufacturer. The mathematical model was proposed as a mixed integer programming and solved by CPLEX software in small-scale problems to validate the model. Given the complexity of the solution and NP-hard structure of the proposed problem, genetic algorithm was used to find quality solutions by MATLAB software. Finally, the results of research show that managers of the case study can deliver orders to customer in minimum time and cost. According to the results, the proposed algorithm (GA) has a desired level of quality in solving the P-D real problems.

The influence of greening the suppliers on environmental and economic performance 供应商绿化对环境和经济绩效的影响

The purpose of this study is to investigate the influence of greening the supplier, green purchasing capabilities and green innovation on firm's environmental performance, competitive advantage and economic performance. Data was collected from the respondents who are engaged in procurement related activities in different manufacturing industries whereas the researchers used partial least squares-structural equation modelling (PLS-SEM) for analysing the hypothesised relationships between the variables. Results has shown that greening the suppliers has positive impact on green innovation and green purchasing capabilities whereas green innovation and green purchasing capabilities have a positive impact on environmental, competitive advantage and financial performance accordingly. Since there are limited number of studies on greening the supplier in Pakistan therefore the findings will equally be helpful for future researchers and managers. In addition of providing the valuable information to sourcing professionals regarding their directions towards green supply chain, the present study recommended manufacturers to provide complete assistance to the suppliers in their green initiatives whereas their early collaboration in product development stages is highly recommended.

Hybrid SEM-neural networks for predicting electronics logistics information system adoption in Thailand healthcare supply chain 混合sem -神经网络预测电子物流信息系统在泰国医疗保健供应链的采用

The aim of this work is to examine the adoption of the electronics logistics information system in healthcare industry in Thailand by using structural equation modelling (SEM) approach. Neural network is then employed to test and confirm the research model. These approaches are applied to analyse the effect of all independent constructs and behavioural intention to adopt e-logistics information system by healthcare workers. Unified theory of acceptance and use of technology 2 (UTAUT2) was used to examine electronics logistics information system adoption in the hospitals. Confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) was applied to determine how well the measured variables represent the constructs. SEM was then introduced to analyse the relationship among the variables. Lastly, neural network was applied to predict the relative importance of each independent variable. The study from SEM revealed that seven potential variables of behavioural intention from UTAUT2 for the adoption of e-logistics can be compressed into six variables (performance expectancy, perceived value and support, price value, social influence and facilitating conditions, perceived ease of use and habit). Three significant variables for the e-logistics in hospital adoption in Thailand (performance expectancy, effort expectancy, and habit) are proven to be statistically significant.

Although the relationship between supply chain (SC) and innovation has attracted attention from researchers in recent years, the relationship between innovation capabilities and SC strategies is a subject that has not yet been explored extensively. The main objective of this paper is to examine how SC strategies affect the relationship between innovation capabilities and business performance. The paper, characterised as a conceptual paper with the aim of contributing to theory building, is based on the concept of fit and on the principles of the contingency theory and the resource-based view. Further, a literature review and a theoretical discussion, a theoretical model and a set of research propositions are presented. The theoretical rationale shows the potential for improvement in performance through the relationship between innovation and SC and can be used to boost empirical research on the topic.

The Peruvian furniture industry: an integration model for lean, Six Sigma and theory of constraints 秘鲁家具业:精益、六西格玛与约束理论的整合模式

This research aims to analyse the results obtained from the combination of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma and theory of constraints in the wooden furniture industry in Peru. The research presents that there is increase in productivity of the SMEs by reducing the production time and costs without effecting the quality of the products. Based on a recent literature review, the authors, through the experience and study of Peruvian furniture companies, were able to identify an integrated model based on the five TOC steps, and the lean Six Sigma methods. A value chain of processes is proposed; highlighting elements that allow the elimination of activities that do not add value and control the variability of the critical process. Arena simulation was an important tool to validate proposals. This paper allows manufacturing managers to evaluate operating systems, in order to use integrated methodologies, and obtain the increase of Six Sigma levels by 50% and improve operational results by 6% in furniture manufacturing companies.

Supplier selection and order allocation problem through option contracts under supply disruption risks 供应中断风险下基于期权合同的供应商选择与订单分配问题

Selecting well-performed suppliers and ordering at the right time are the keys to success. Many types of unpredictable disasters such as breakdowns, labour strikes, and natural calamities have occurred, which are essential elements, resulting in supply disruption risk. This paper presents a supplier selection model and order allocation to minimise costs incurred in multi-product supply chains under disruption risks at supplier sites or groups of suppliers in the same situation under cap-and-trade regulation. In order to reduce disruption risk, options contracts are applied to hedge against adverse effects of supplier disruptions. Numerical instances exemplify the proposed method. The results indicate that option contracts reduce costs significantly and, even at a very high initial cost, are still cost-effective. The results of sensitivity analyses also show carbon emissions levels can have a significant impact on the income and behaviour of decision makers.

Critical success factors of operational excellence practices for manufacturing industry 制造业卓越运营实践的关键成功因素

This study examines the critical success factors (CSFs) of operational excellence practices in the manufacturing industry. The survey questionnaires were designed and distributed to the 50 respondents. The pilot study sample consists of 30 respondents from 50 questionnaires, with an average response rate of 60%. The reliability and validity test was conducted and the data were analysed using the statistical software SPSS version 22. The results indicate that six factors have been identified to be critical factors for operational excellence practices. Furthermore, the process management is the most critical factor influencing the operational excellence practices implementation success. This research concluded that the manufacturing industry should implement six critical success factors of operational excellence practices to enhance the organisational performance. Thus, further studies are recommended to investigate and validate the structural relationship between operational excellence practices and sustainable performance in Malaysian manufacturing industry.
