Investigating Fibre Reinforced Concrete's Strength, Flexibility, and Longevity 研究纤维增强混凝土的强度、柔韧性和寿命

There have been several difficulties with mesh-reinforced lining constructions because to the complex tunnelling circumstances and varying technical requirements. Thereafter, steel fiber reinforced concrete (SFRC) is promoted as a trustworthy replacement for mesh-reinforced linings. In this study, we take a look at the components and typical characteristics of SFRC. Cracks or structural failures in mesh-reinforced linings are summarized, and contemporary difficulties in this field are discussed. Tunnel linings made from SFRC are discussed, along with the benefits of doing so. In addition, the performance of SFRC in tunnel lining applications is reviewed, along with various design considerations and practical instances. The evaluation found that SFRC lining had a favourable impact on limiting rock movement, decreasing lining pressure, and ensuring both global and local support structure integrity. The study provides useful information for advancing the use of SFRC

The Use of Microbial Technology to Soil Stabilization 微生物技术在土壤稳定中的应用

Microbially exacerbate existing precipitation (MICP) is an emerging technique with great potential for enhancing soil quality. The study's overarching objective is to quantify MICP's contribution to black cotton soil's improved shear strength and reduced hydraulic conductivity. The findings of a laboratory study on the influence of microorganisms on the engineering properties of soil treated with MICP. The bacteria utilized in this study was called Bacillus megaterium. A mold was made with the same interior size as the vortex shear instrument, and soil samples were then tested using this setup. The presence of microbes in black cotton soil greatly improves its shear strength and decreases its hydraulic conductivity, as shown by vane shear and penetration tests.

As a result of the advantages it offers in construction management and maintenance, structural health monitoring for civil structures is becoming more popular in Europe and throughout the world. The main advantages of using such methods include cheaper inspections, more accurate research into the behavior of structures under dynamic loads, better seismic protection, and real-time or near-real-time observation of structural response and evolution of damage, which helps with post-earthquake scenario production and rescue efforts. As a result, Structural Monitoring Systems is a very multidisciplinary field, in which researchers from a wide variety of fields and institutions may work together to improve the effectiveness and reliability of these systems, the benefits of which are almost self-evident. Nowadays, developments in wireless sensor networks, techniques for determining modal properties, and damage detection systems are among the most urgent issues in the sector. Although modal identification and damage detection algorithms have improved, sensor technology has advanced at a faster rate.

Hybrid Feature Selection based Classifier for Non Functional Requirements 基于混合特征选择的非功能需求分类器

Feature Selection aims at finding the most relevant features of a problem domain. It is very helpful in improving computational speed and prediction accuracy. However, identification of useful features from hundreds or even thousands of related features is a nontrivial task. In this paper, we introduce a hybrid FS method which combines two FS methods – the filters and the wrappers for NFRs classification. Candidate features are first selected from the original feature set through two filter techniques then the union of these two sets are further  refined by more accurate wrappers. This hybrid mechanism takes advantage of both the filters and the wrappers. The mechanism is examined by primary dataset based on NFRs. Experimental results show that better prediction accuracy can be achieved with a smaller feature set.

Investigating the Performance of Different Antenna Designs for Wireless Communication Applications 研究无线通信应用中不同天线设计的性能

In this work, the findings of an in-depth study that compared the effectiveness of a variety of antenna layouts for wireless communication are presented. Antennas, due to the essential position they play in wireless networks, have the potential to have a significant impact on the overall effectiveness, dependability, and quality of communication provided by the system. This study provides an overview of the various techniques that are currently in use to investigate antenna performance. These techniques include simulation and measurement methods. In addition to this, it proposes a methodology for enhancing the analysis of antenna performance by integrating simulation and measurement techniques. When analyzing antenna performance, some of the problems that may appear include interference, limitations on bandwidth, and excessive power usage. Recent innovations in antenna design have included things like metamaterials, machine learning, and additive manufacturing, among other things. In conclusion, the research looks at a wide variety of industries, including telecommunications, aerospace and defense, Internet of Things (IoT), automotive, and medical, all of which find it beneficial to investigate antenna performance. The purpose of this paper is to provide a summary of the present state of research into increasing antenna performance and to discuss the significance of examining the performance of various antenna designs for applications involving wireless communication.

Hate Speech and Reality Check Analysis of Disaster Tweets using BERT Deep Learning Model 基于BERT深度学习模型的灾难推文仇恨言论与真实性检验分析

This study looks into the application of the BERT model for a reality check analysis of disaster-related tweets. The project intends to tackle the problem of authenticating information on natural disasters posted on social media, which is frequently inaccurate or misleading. Modern natural language processing models like the BERT model have shown promise in various language understanding tasks. The "Disaster Tweets" dataset, which includes tweets linked to genuine disasters and tweets unrelated to disasters, is used in the study to assess the performance of the BERT model. A fine-tuning method is used to train the BERT model on the training set after dividing the dataset into training and testing sets. The model is then put to the test on the test set, and its performance is assessed using metrics like accuracy, precision, recall, and f1-score. The experimental findings show that the BERT model performed well overall in categorizing tweets about disasters. The model performed well for both groups, with somewhat superior performance for tweets about actual disasters, according to the criteria of precision, recall, and f1-score. According to the accuracy metric, the model's overall accuracy was 86%, which is a promising outcome. The BERT model's potential uses in disaster response and management are also covered in this essay. The model can be used to track down false information about catastrophes, estimate the severity of damage caused by disasters, plan response activities, and create predictive models for future disasters. It can also be used to gauge the sentiment of tweets about disasters. The BERT model must, however, be used in a manner that takes into account a number of issues, including data quality, generalizability, computational resources, interpretability, and ethical considerations. Overall, this research emphasizes the significance of utilizing NLP approaches to validate the veracity of catastrophe-related information published on social media and enhance disaster response and management initiatives. The BERT model is a useful instrument for reaching this objective, but more investigation is required to solve the model's difficulties and constraints and guarantee its efficacy and dependability in a range of situations.

Mental health contributes significantly to people’s capacity to uphold good physical health – mental illnesses, for instance, anxiety and depression the ability for people to engage in health-supporting manners. In the human services field, mental health embraces the interpersonal group experience and personal experience. Mental health refers to a condition of effective functioning of psychological purpose leading in productive activities, the ability to adjust to change and put up with challenges, and satisfying relations with people. Mental health is vital to interpersonal and family relationships, personal development, and the capacity to contribute to society.

Mean-Variance Programming Framework in Markowitz Modeling Markowitz模型中的均值方差规划框架

For mathematical frameworks in place, which are applied to portfolio optimization problems, the majority come in the form of risk minimization – relative to the return parameter. When it comes to the quadratic programming framework, in relation to Markowitz, its associated challenges have been countered when considerations are made to recent trends in algorithmic scholarly investigations. In particular, a linear risk function has been introduced, especially in response to the need to address problems of portfolio selection, given real constraints. In this study, the main aim is to address the problem of portfolio selection in relation to minimum transaction lots. Also, the paper focuses on an improved search model that is applied to active constrained, whereby solutions are developed for the integer programming algorithm. The proposed model is that which focuses on the relaxed problem’s solution initially, before establishing solutions that are deemed closer to the continuous solutions..

This paper will explain the medium and set of rules through which data is exchanged during communication in the network. The set of rules which are followed during the implementation of the network for the data communication is called as network protocol. For any network to work efficiently there is need to define certain set of rules and standards which should be followed. There are many layers in a network and each layer will have specific protocol that if followed for the exchange of the data. This paper will explain the types of protocols available, structure of data message, and also the challenges occurring in implementation of the protocols.
