In this talk, I review our progresses on probing new physics at the LHC and future colliders by using the Standard Model Effective Field Theory (SMEFT) and beyond. This includes to probe new physics effects in the Higgs boson couplings via leading dimension-6 operators and in the neutral triple gauge couplings (nTGCs) via leading dimension-8 operators. I also discuss the probe of Higgs self-couplings involving the SM Higgs-boson-pair plus a new heavy Higgs boson of the extended Higgs sector via the resonant diHiggs production channels.

An elementary particle's electric dipole moment (EDM) violates T-symmetry, thereby violating CP symmetry if CPT invariance is assumed. This violation could potentially explain the observed antimatter-matter asymmetry in our universe. The muon's EDM, as predicted by the Standard Model (SM), is expected to be extremely small (1038ecm), making it experimentally unreachable in the short term. However, some beyond the SM theories predict the muon EDM could be as large as 1022ecm. A new dedicated muon EDM experiment will be conducted at PSI, aiming to achieve 6×1023ecm sensitivity using the frozen spin technique. This sensitivity will allow some BSM predictions to be probed. This article provides an overview of the PSI muEDM experiment and outlines its progress.
