Data classification is an important task to label the class of data. Attributes or feature is a portion of information which is applicable to the task of computation. Our task is to predict and prevent cardiac arrest which is one of the biggest challenges of cardiology using a machine learning classifier. Since a particular classifier may or may not work well for such datasets so it is important to do a comparative study of classifiers in order to achieve maximum performance in such critical predictions of cardiac arrest. The UCI dataset is chosen for the purpose of comparison, and a comparative study of various classifiers is provided on the same dataset. Results are given as accuracy of different classifiers. The various classifier methods include the KNN classifier, Nave Bayes classifier, Support Vector Machine, Neural Network, Gaussian Mixture Model and Decision Tree classifier.

The high volumes of the alerts occurring in the network makes it a challenging job for human operators to understand them and take appropriate actions. The more complex is the network, the more are the events and alerts generated by the appliances. This paper shares insights on various Event Correlation techniques and algorithms implemented in the Network Management Solutions for an Ethernet Network. The aim of this paper is to design a framework and algorithm which ensure to a large extent; efficient and reliable handling of massive amounts of machine data received in varying formats in a flexible and cost-efficient manner. Techniques like Event filtering, Event correlation, event augmentation, Event aggregation and Root cause analysis has been effectively utilised in the given framework. Result shows the proposed framework and algorithm is reducing 50% time for computation and efforts.

In this paper, a discrete time model-based networked control system is used with two sided channel. In model-based control scheme, an estimated model is used for generation of plant dynamics. It is noticed that update interval directly depends on the error between plant and model. To increase update interval, the best-estimated model is taken. The communication channel is provided on both sides, from sensor to controller and then controller to plant. Lifting technique is used to obtain the stability of the system. This approach is applied to DC motor. Simulation results are used to show the effectiveness of the approach.

Parallel architecture materialized as a research area with the prospective of furnishing faster results. In a parallel architecture, balancing of load over engaged cores or nodes is a critical issue. Imbalance in cores or processors degrades the performance of systems. This paper presents a study and simulation anatomy of some load balancing approaches on a parallel architecture. The performances are analyzed on the basis of execution time, speedup, throughput, and efficiency.

Dynamic car pooling or ride sharing applications have become viable due to the recent advancement on mobile Internet infrastructure, smart mobile devices and matching algorithms based on social media data. These applications bring together car owners and possible riders. It is important to enable communication between riders and drivers without revealing personal details to the other party. In this paper a VoIP solution is presented which provides a platform for a ride-sharing system to make voice calls between drivers and riders without revealing their telephone numbers.

To protect multimedia information system like audio, video, text and image, digital watermarking could be a legendary technique that hides or cover one type of information into a different or same type of information to fulfill the needs of copyright protection. Digital watermarking makes an attempt to handle the issues regarding the management of characteristics of multimedia system such as possession recognition, authentication and certifications. A lot of efforts have been made to guard the image information from unauthorized access however some of them seemed not too effective. During this research work, we have a tendency to project a picture information to enhance the information security in digital watermarking. We propose an image data protection technique using the combination of data security such as encryption technique and digital watermarking. The implementation of the projected technique is accomplished in MATLAB 2012a simulator and the outcomes are analyzed using performance parameter such as PSNR, MAE, etc.

As the progress of wireless communication technology, WLAN and Zigbee are more frequently utilized in our apartments. Because of using the same frequency band, radio interferences will more or less impact on the Zigbee network for its characteristic of low-power consumption. In this paper with smart home as context, an interferences analysis between Zigbee and WLAN is suggested. A series of tests was to explore the relation between apartments and performance of Zigbee system. Then a hybrid network smart home base on Zigbee and smart plugs is proposed to avoid the shortcomings of radio interferences of pure Zigbee network. Compare with pure Zigbee smart home, smart home base on Zigbee and smart plugs uses power line communications (PLC) as backbone network to transmit data.

Internet of Things (IoT) has been one of the revolutionary technologies in recent times, which has catalyzed the paradigm shift in traditional healthcare methods. Thanks to the concept of seamless data exchange between connected devices followed by efficient data analytics, IoT-based eHealth strives to cater intelligent and personalized healthcare services. This paper is focused on the aspects of IoT and decision support systems to proffer preventive and intelligent healthcare. The objective of this work is two-fold — to design the components of an IoT-healthcare platform and decision support system, satisfying the goals of an efficient technology-led healthcare system, and to illustrate the same by applying to cardiovascular diseases and ascertain the risk groups from a sample set of people. Especially, to determine the risk groups from a sample set of people in terms of cardiovascular disease, this system has been used. The risk groups were identified based on their possibility of having a cardiovascular disease. Such a system offers a common platform for all the stakeholders of healthcare and can be extended in other domains too as it works efficiently in predicting diseases, using the decision support system.

Mobile ad-hoc networks (MANET) are self-discipline and dynamic infrastructure and less wireless networks than nodes are in themselves to have routing capability. Intrusion Detection Systems (EDIS) at MANET are required to monitor activities and detect any interference or weakness in the network. In this paper we present an effective probability-based cluster model for intrusion detection systems that need to remain active in a dedicated mobile network. The suggested probabilistic model is the use of cluster-based collaboration between IDS among district nodes to reduce individual overhead to maintain successful communication. IDSs typically examine each node to monitor the behavior of the network, which maintains the overhead of a battery device in terms of power and computing resources. Therefore, in this article our goal is to limit the upper control packet of IDS without compromising its effectiveness. To validate the proposed model, the paper interactions model between the Ids game and the cluster cluster in a multiplayer multiplayer game in which players have partially cooperative and partially conflicting goals and use K-mean blocks. This article theoretically analyzes this game and the game group supports it with simulation results.

STATCOM improves the excellence consistency to maintain regulation of voltage in the power system. And also provides the efficient capability to control the dynamic disturbances such as transient stability. In the adaptive PI control model the gains of controllers are self-adjusted during a disturbance, when the operational conditions are altered. Such that, the performance always matches a desired response, since the adjustment is independent. This paper presents the STATCOM based adaptive fuzzy controller is implemented in the power system. The proposed controller accomplishes the stability of the voltage against the uncertainties affected by external disturbances. By using this adaptive fuzzy controller the performance of STATCOM is verified through the simulation results and these results are also compared with the conventional and adaptive PI control models. Finally, the results are effective in the proposed adaptive fuzzy controller of the STATCOM. The proposed controller forces the system to return back the steady state value quicker than the PI controller.
