A Measuring System for HTS Wires and Coils Properties at Low Temperatures 高温超导电线和线圈的低温性能测量系统

The use of high temperature superconducting materials (HTS) in various applications, requires knowledge of their critical parameters like critical current, critical magnetic field and critical temperature, in DC applications like high magnetic field generators, superconducting magnetic energy storage system (SMES), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), magnets for particle accelerators, SC Maglev trains and other applications. Also, these parameters are important for specific properties in alternating current applications like fault current limiters, transformers, generators, motors, and power transmission lines. An important characteristic that needs to be tucked into consideration for AC applications is the power losses that occur in the HTS superconducting materials, which limits the maximum performance that the superconducting materials can attain for these applications. In order to measure these characteristics, which depend on the type of material used, but also on the temperature and other parameters, it is necessary to use an appropriate setup device that allows both obtaining the working temperature range (4.2 K to 300 K and other necessary parameters like high vacuum 10-6 mbar, high current supply (500 A), high magnetic field measurement system (1-10 T), etc. For the cryogenic cooling of the entire system, a closed cycle Gifford-McMahon type cryocooler is used, with two cooling stages, stage I at 50 K and second stage at 4.2 K (liquid Helium temperature). The set-up system used for measurement of the parameters of HTS superconducting materials (YBCO, BSCCO or MgB2) and the various coils made with them, is described in this article together with its functional parameters and some experimental results obtained by testing an YBCO coils system. The maximum generated magnetic flux density was 5 T in the centre of the coils system.

Comparison of Intelligent Control Methods Performance in the UPFC Controllers Design for Power Flow Reference Tracking 潮流参考跟踪UPFC控制器设计中智能控制方法的性能比较

The Unified Power Flow Controller (UPFC) is one of such emerging FACTS devices that can manage the power flow in Transportation System. Based on the control system associated with the management of UPFC, both the controllers of shunt and series converters of UPFC are controlled conventionally using PIs controllers. However, the PI system alone cannot control the UPFC in the presence of uncertainty of system parameters and disturbances. For this reason, the use of novel robust techniques based on artificial intelligence theory in the design control of UPFC is very efficient for improving its performances. In this regard, four approaches have been used in this study to replace the conventional PI controller and enhance the performance of the UPFC for power flow reference tracking. In the first approach, the fuzzy logic technique (Mamdani and Sugeno types) has been employed to provide dynamic control of series and shunt converters of UPFC, whereas in the second method, the controllers of UPFC are performed through the optimization techniques such as: PSO, PSO_SQP, and GA techniques. The proposed techniques based UPFC are tested in MATLAB/Simulink software by using UPFC with a 48-pulse voltage source converter (VSC) equipping a High Voltage (HV) electrical network. In terms of dynamic performance, the simulations’ results and the comparative analysis clearly show the superiority of the intelligent controllers regardless of the variation of powers that affecting the model plant. Compared to PI controller, they ensure good performance in terms of tracking and decoupling.

Flexion Angle Estimation from Single Channel Forearm EMG Signals using Effective Features 基于有效特征的单通道前臂肌电信号屈曲角度估计

Electromyography (EMG) records the electrical activity generated by skeletal muscles, offering valuable insights into muscle function and movement. To address the complexity of EMG signals, various signal analysis methods have been developed in the time and frequency domains for engineering applications like myoelectric control of prosthetics and movement analysis. In this study, EMG signals were acquired from ten healthy volunteers in different forearm positions using a Myoware Muscle Sensor and MPU6050 board. From each EMG signal, root mean square (RMS), standard deviation (STD), and mean absolute value (MAV) were computed and selected as representative features. These features were then fed into an LDA classifier to estimate forearm flexion angles. The study aims to compare the effectiveness of features calculated from the EMG signal and those derived from its discrete wavelet decomposition. The experimental results demonstrate the proposed method's efficiency in estimating forearm flexion angles using a single channel of EMG signals, achieving an average classification accuracy of 97.50 % across four gesture classes.

Stick-Slip Movement in Driving Axles of Railway Vehicles equipped with Damping Devices 装有减震装置的铁路车辆驱动轴的粘滑运动

In this article, we carried out a study on the behaviour and efficiency of an oscillation-damping system, mounted on the driving axles of railway vehicles to mitigate stick-slip oscillations. The occurrence of the stick-slip phenomenon is particularly harmful in operation because it generates wear on the tread surfaces of the wheels and rails, generates fatigue stresses in the axles and diminishes locomotive performance. To reduce these inconveniences, we proposed installing on the axles a damping system to reduce stick-slip oscillations and studied the behaviour and the efficiency in the operation of this system.

Usually, ontology means the branch of metaphysics dealing with the nature of being, a set of concepts and categories in a subject area or domain that shows the properties and the relations between them (created automatically from large datasets), or a specification of a conceptualization. The article presents a brief discussion of the study undertaken to design an ontology for nanotechnology.

Optimized Passivity-based Control of a Hybrid Electric Vehicle Source using a Novel Equilibrium Optimizer 基于新型平衡优化器的混合动力汽车源无源优化控制

Passivity-based control is a well-known strategy for synthesizing stable controllers because it models and manages systems based on their global state space equations. It also permits proving the system's stability by making it passive, which is an undeniable advantage over traditional controllers that have limitations in terms of applications, saturation, and the inability to verify stability. Previous research used nonlinear control based on passivity method to control the energy distribution between the embedded sources, they did not investigate the impact of the dumping matrix parameter, which was typically considered to be a positive random value. In contrast, the results of this investigation show that it significantly affects system behaviour, especially in the transient-state domain. The primary objective of this study is to develop and evaluate an energy management strategy for hybrid electric vehicles powered by Fuel Cells as the primary source and Supercapacitors as the secondary source. The fast response with less overshoot is ensured by optimizing the damping matrix parameter using a well-known optimization technique named Novel Equilibrium Optimizer. The proposed technique is successfully demonstrated in a Matlab® simulation environment, and the control system exhibits robust dynamic behaviour. Finally, despite the complexity of this technique's mathematical proof, it provides a simple, efficient feedback control law for a real electrical vehicle application.

Due to the growing demand for photovoltaic power generation systems for grid-connected renewable energy systems, the high-quality energy and the good efficiency are necessary. For this reason, two-level parallel inverters are used in grid-connected PV systems connected to standard AC and DC connections are widely utilized. This structure is often relied on to raise the quality of the power and increase the power conversion efficiency. This article proposes a grid-tied energetic system composed of a photovoltaic source connected to the grid by the means of DC-DC boost converter controlled by hell clamping algorithm MPPT to improve the harvesting of the PV power, and of two VSIs connected in parallel interfaced by a coupling filter and controlled by two methods namely, classic DPC-PI and improved DPC-ST. An extensive simulation analysis was carried out to validate the proposed control approach by the comparison with the conventional method base on PI regulator. The proposed technique introduced a superior performance in terms of lower voltage stress at the DC-link, the THD of the injected current, and the ripples of the active and reactive power.

Vibration and Noise Optimization of Rotor Structure of Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor for Vehicles 车用永磁同步电机转子结构振动与噪声优化

In order to improve the vibration and noise level of permanent magnet synchronous motor, based on the ANSYS workbench multi-physical field coupling platform, the motor structure is designed and simulated to optimize the vibration and noise of the motor. The spatial and temporal order of the vibration noise caused by the first order tooth harmonic is analysed, and the vibration noise caused by the first order tooth harmonic is reduced by slotting the rotor. By analysing the influence of rotor slots with different positions and different size parameters on the air gap magnetic flux density of the motor, the most suitable optimization method is found, and the optimization level of air gap magnetic flux density of rotor slots with different shapes under the same position and slot area is analysed and compared, so as to select the most suitable rotor slot shape. The simulation analysis shows that the air gap magnetic density and torque ripple of the optimized motor have been significantly improved, and the electromagnetic noise of 48-time order caused by 12 times the electromagnetic frequency of the motor in the 0 space order has been significantly reduced, which proves the reliability of the optimized scheme.

Parallel Distributed Compensation for Three-Phase pulse width modulation converter 三相脉宽调制变换器的并联分布式补偿

In applications such as industrial drive systems and power supply systems, the use of a three-phase voltage-source Rectifier pulse width modulation converter is becoming increasingly common. Examples of these types of applications include: Power Factor Corrections and the reduction of harmonics. The critical control requirements of an application involving a three-phase voltage-source Rectifier pulse width modulation converter are to achieve a unity power factor and to regulate the dc voltage. The unity power factor guarantees the highest possible efficiency, while the dc voltage regulation guarantees that the converter will operate as desired. In this study, a novel control method for stabilizing a Rectifier-Inverter pulse width modulation converter is designed and simulated to reach higher levels of stability while also improving dynamic performances. In the first step, the nonlinear equation system of the converter is transformed into a polytopic form. This is done with the help of the sector nonlinearity transformation. After that, a Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy controller that uses the parallel distributed compensation operating concept is applied. The design of the control system takes into account practical control requirements, such as a fast voltage tracking strategy and line-currents regulation. In order to obtain the controller gain, a series of linear matrix inequalities must be resolved. Simulations performed using Matlab/Simulink make it abundantly evident that the proposed method possesses excellent performance in terms of both voltage tracking control and unity power factor regulation.

Fast Polarization-Adjusted Convolutional (PAC) Software Decoders: Algorithm and Implementation 快速极化调整卷积(PAC)软件解码器:算法与实现

In this paper, a novel high throughput software polarization-adjusted convolutional (PAC) decoder based on the fast successive cancellation (FSC) decoding algorithm is first proposed. The FSC decoding algorithm is obtained by expanding the fast list decoding algorithm to suit parallel designs. To improve the parallel processing capabilities of the proposed decoder, we use SIMD and multiple cores techniques to decode multiple codewords in parallel, thus effectively parallel mapping the FSC decoding algorithm to processors. The proposed decoder is sufficiently general to be implemented on X86 and embedded processors (NEON, SSE, AVX256, and AVX512 instructions). Experimentations show that the proposed software PAC decoder can achieve 370 Mbps under the multithreading mode.
