The professionalism of Education staffs of IPB University is an important aspect in supporting higher education business processes to provide public services to stakeholders. Therefore, they need to have a good competence The purpose of this study is to analyze (1) the direct effect of quality of work life on the performance of education staffs, (2) the direct effect of work motivation on the performance of education staffs, and (3) the indirect effect of the variables on the quality of work life on the performance of the education staffs due to work motivation. The results of data processing on 222 research samples based on PLS-SEM concluded that the quality of work life has a direct and significant effect on the performance of education staffs, meaning that the performance of education staffs can be increased by improving the quality of work life. Work motivation has a direct effect on the performance of education staffs. It means that an increase in work motivation will boost the performance of education staffs. In addition, there is an indirect effect of the quality of work life on the performance of staff due to work motivation. The result found that there is a dirrect and indirect effect quality of work life on the performance without going trough or involving work motivation, so the role of this mediation is included in partial mediation where the independent variable was still able to directly influence the dependent variable without going through or involving the intervening variable.

This study aims to investigate and determine the effect of work from home on work engagement in Greater Jakarta for employees who have children during the COVID-19 pandemic. This study also tested work stress and work-life balance variables as mediating variables using a structural equation modeling (SEM) approach. The data used was obtained through a cross-sectional survey of 213 respondents who met the criteria, namely domiciled in Greater Jakarta, are employees who formally work in companies in Greater Jakarta, have or are currently working from home and have children. The results of this study indicate that work from home has a negative effect on the work engagement of employees who have children in Greater Jakarta during the pandemic. Furthermore, work-life balance mediates the effect between work from home and work engagement partially and is competitive. In addition, work stress does not mediate the effect between work from home and work engagement. However, in this study work stress has a negative effect on work-life balance so that the effect of work stress on work engagement can be through work-life balance. This research contributes to managerial implications that can be applied by organizations, managers, individuals and other interested parties related to the concept of work from home, work-life balance, work stress, and work engagement during the COVID-19 pandemic in Indonesia, especially in Greater Jakarta.

Environmental impacts continue to occur as a result of various human activities. In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, many companies are experiencing financial problems that affect the implementation of CSR, especially in the environmental field. As we know, all elements of the government, society, companies are focused on handling the pandemic, but environmental problems continue to occur. This study aims to describe the relationship between GHRM and the implementation of sustainable CSR in the environmental field by PT. Pelindo III in managing the environment amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The method used in this research is qualitative description. The data collection process was carried out through three stages, namely conducting a literature study, collecting secondary data and conducting in-depth interviews with employees in charge of implementing CSR. The results showed that at PT. Pelindo III, the GHRM concept applied has a role in the transformation of employee behavior into environmentally friendly employees. Ideas or initiatives on environmental prevention and management are implemented in CSR activities such as tree planting, mangroves, community empowerment in the form of tourist villages, hydroponic villages and other activities. On the other hand, environmental impact prevention activities are also carried out by implementing the green port concept at ports as well as a paperless policy, reducing the use of plastic and segregating waste. To maintain a green culture, employees who consistently contribute to environmental issues are given rewards.

The young workforce dominates Surabaya, the millennial group or generation Z. New normal during the COVID-19 pandemic, causing young workers to work from home (WFH). This study aims to formulate policies on how stakeholders can formulate policies that follow the needs of workers and the development of human resources (HR). The method used is quantitative with a purposive sampling technique. The instrument used is the FWOQ scale, a 6-level Likert scale with 12 items given to 153 millennial worker participants. This research found that the millennial who did WFH due to the pandemic tended to experience difficulties. It is different from millennial workers who have been WFH since before the pandemic, which tends to be easier to handle. The barriers felt by the two groups tend to be the same, such as barriers-others, barriers-costs, and barriers-commitment. The originality of the research puts more emphasis on millennial workers who have the character of getting bored quickly, dynamically, and always wanting to be updated but face WFH. Research has also never been carried out in a more specific area, Surabaya.
