DESAIN CHANGES IN A SHORT DURATION CONSTRUCTION PROJECT WITH COST AND TIME BOUNDARIES: A PROJECT REVIEW 在具有成本和时间限制的短期建设项目中设计变更:项目回顾

Design changes are inevitable in most projects. In many construction projects they may look not too complicated to be executed in front of computer models. The actual situation turned out to be the other way around. Apart from detailed changes in shop drawings, bill of quantity and specifications, administrative works related to the project are quite considerations. These mounted consequences would be more for short duration projects with government funding executed in the near end book period. The allocated execution period for short duration projects is not usually allowing rapid changes for the unexpected consequences. This paper presents what actually happens inside the project management during the contract change order process.

THE TRAVEL TIME PERFOMANCE ANALYSIS OF THE COMMUTER LINE TRAIN (KRL) (CASE STUDY: THE COMMUTER LINE TRAIN BLUE LINE CORRIDOR, BEKASI - JAKARTA KOTA) 通勤线列车(krl)的旅行时间性能分析(以通勤线列车蓝线走廊,勿加西-雅加达哥打为例)

On the commuter line trains (the KRL), the Bekasi-Jakarta City Blue Line corridor has a buildup of passengers so that it can reduce travel time. Based on the regulation of the Minister of Transportation No. 63 of 2019 on Minimum Service Standards for Transportation of People by Train, the maximum delay tolerance for urban trains is 15 minutes from the total scheduled travel time. The method used is the depiction of working charts and calculations of statistical analysis with standard deviation in SPSS application version 26. The difference in the comparison of scheduled travel times with those in the field is determined by using Microsoft Excel for Windows version 2015. The performance of Blue Line routes (the KRL) was reviewed based on travel time using the SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) analysis tool version 26. The standard deviation results using the SPSS KA 1341 analysis tool have a higher deviation standard result of 10.82, which means that the train has a higher travel time delay than the train of PT Kereta Commuter Indonesia (KCI), which experienced an average delay of 4 minutes. The cause of the delay consists of several factors, including the queue of passengers who want to get into the train and the fact that traffic on the blue line KRL route is congested. Because it has to alternate with intercity trains, and the KRL must wait.

NORMALIZATION ANALYSIS OF BUARAN RIVER USING THE HEC-RAS APPLICATION (THE BUKIT KENCANA RESIDENTIAL AREA TO JAKARTA CIKAMPEK TOLL) 利用hec-ras应用程序对buaran河进行归一化分析(bukit kencana居民区至雅加达cikampek收费)

The channel in the Buaran River area has a channel length of 5.32 km located in the Bukit Kencana Housing Area as the upstream of the Buaran River with the smallest cross-sectional width of 0.9 m and a height of 1 m and the border of the Jakarta Cikampek Toll Road as a downstream with a width of 2.2 m and a height of 3.6 m. one of the areas of the Buaran River which experienced quite severe flooding. This was due to changes or conversion of land functions which were originally water catchment areas to settlements. The large number of buildings that stand on the body of the river makes the current section of the Buaran River unable to function optimally in accommodating flood discharges, besides that there is no public awareness in protecting the environment which can be seen from the many piles of garbage in the body of the river. The purpose of this research is to find out how big the capacity of the existing Buaran cross-section is (starting from the Bukit Kencana Residential Area to the Jakarta Cikampek Toll Road) by modeling the existing cross-section using the help of the Hec-Rass application as well as recording and mapping locations that have the potential to flood. . One of the efforts that have been made by the government in controlling floods is by normalizing the river but in practice, the normalization of the Buaran River cannot be said to be running optimally. Based on hydrological calculations, the planned Q25 flood discharge is 16,307 m3/s. By using the help of the Hec-Ras application we can find out which river profiles need to be treated so that the handling of river normalization as an alternative to flood control can run optimally

SIMULATION OF RING CONNECTION MODIFICATION ON FLARE STACK STRUCTURE 火炬堆结构环接修改的仿真

The flare stack serves to protect process equipment facilities against unexpected overpressure. This study aims to follow up on previous research that recommends improvements to the flare stack structure based on corrosion findings that occur in the area of the riser stack around the ring connection for the guy wire. By replacing rusty material, it is also necessary to consider modifications to prevent the risk of re-corrosion. Based on current design observations in the connection ring area for guy wire, side cutting is required which can result in water being trapped. This research aims to find out whether by modifying the connection ring for guy wire, this flare structure still has structural reliability when receiving critical outer loads or not. Based on the results of the study, it shows that modifying the geometry of the connection ring guy wire still provides reliable structural performance when receiving critical outer loads. The maximum stress that occurs in the area around the pad eye is 71.2 Mpa with a maximum stress ratio of 0.434 it shows that the value is still quite far from the maximum allowable voltage ratio of 1.0. So it can be concluded by modifying the connection ring for guy wire to prevent the risk of corrosion can be done without causing a decrease in the performance of the structure in withstanding critical outer loads.

STUDY ON FREE VIBRATION OF SKEW PLATE USING FINITE ELEMENT METHOD 用有限元法研究斜板的自由振动

A numerical procedure is presented for free vibration analysis of skew plates using the finite element method. The finite element method is a tool used by many researchers to analyze plates element and gives good results. In this research, the natural frequency of the plate is obtained through free vibration analysis, the analysis utilizes skew plate elements with several skew angles and varying length to thickness ratios. The reference solution in the literature will be used as a comparison to obtain the convergence behavior of the plate element.

Innovation in obtaining construction materials that are efficient and applicable to various conditions is a challenge for researchers. Cold-formed steel is a material breakthrough in construction that has advantages over hot-rolled steel. Many studies have been carried out on Cold-formedsteel subjected to various loadings to examine the behavior and capacities of the sections. This study aims to investigate the behavior and section capacity of cold-formed steel unlipped channels due to axial compression loads. This research begins with conducting a literature study, then carrying out numerical analysis using the finite element method in ABAQUS, numerical test, and calculation of section capacity based on existing research in the literature. The calculation of section capacity is carried out based on SNI 7971-2013 or AS/NZS 4600:2005. The results of the numerical analysis can be seen from the behavior and capacities of the sections of the unlipped channel, the section capacity from the numerical test will be compared with the section capacity obtained from the calculation based on SNI 7971-2013 or AS/NZS 4600.

XYZ housing is a low cost  housing created by developers with low-income individuals in mind. However, a lot of individuals bemoan the state of their houses because of flaws like leaks, peeling paint, and other issues. This is unquestionably connected to the way the contractor handled the construction process. When there are signs of waste, particularly when there are delays and waste inventories, it is possible that there will also be additional sorts of waste throughout implementation. By employing the value stream mapping method, this study seeks to both detect and simultaneously minimize or eliminate waste that happens during the construction of affordable homes. Two key tasks are completed: creating an overview of the current state map, which represents the state of the development process currently, and offering solutions and suggestions for improvement given as a future state map.

Research and development of construction materials continue to be carried out, getting materials, cross-sectional shapes, and manufacturing methods that are more efficient than before. Cold-formed steel is a material breakthrough in construction that has advantages over hot-rolled steel. In this paper, the cross-section of cold-rolled steel unlipped channel will be analyzed which is subjected to a combination of axial and bending loads. Investigating elements will be carried out using the finite element method on ABAQUS, and the results of the analysis produce a visualization of the behavior and capacity of the cold-rolled steel section. The cross-section capacity results obtained from the numerical test results will be compared with the predictions given by SNI 7971-2013 or AS/NZS 4600. Existing research in the literature will be used as a reference in conducting numerical analysis and calculating ultimate capacities.

Construction industry is always an interesting discussion topic. Some have it approached from its planning and scheduling view accommodating risk analysis. Other interesting topics related to construction industry are its business model, organization and operations. The author argues that construction is a function of them all. An emphasized study on a specific topic above would be less relevant given the fact that construction industry is highly fragmented. From literature review, factors such project integration, communications, knowledge and understanding, human resources, safety, financial, and cost management drive more significant impact on project scheduling performance

BUCKLING ANALYSIS OF SKEW PLATES SUBJECTED TO UNIFORM COMPRESSION LOADING 均布压缩载荷作用下斜板屈曲分析

The main objective of the research work is to present the buckling analysis of plates subjected to uniform compressive load. To obtain accurate results in analysis plate must be free from shear locking, this phenomenon occurs when the ratio of length to thickness ratios plate increases. Many investigations have been carried out on plate elements to see the behavior of a plate in the case of thin plates. In this paper, we investigated plate analysis in the case of buckling analysis using one of the finite element plates, the numerical analysis was conducted on a skew plate with varying length to thickness ratios, and skew angles.  The reference solution in the literature will be used to compare the analysis results the level of convergence and plate performance will be obtained.
