Robot Partner Development Using Emotional Model Based on Sensor Network 基于传感器网络情感模型的机器人伴侣开发

This paper discusses the development of robot partner that can perform not only static conversation, but also can perform emotion expression by facial expression, gesture, and word expression using emotional model based on sensor network, therefore it can interact naturally with a person. Generally, the robot has sensors equipped inside it, however to express emotion the equipped sensors are not enough to grasp the necessary input information about the surrounding environmental situation. Therefore we propose a sensor network applied to the robot partner for estimating the environment states as input data, after that the acquired data is processed using emotional model to gain the desired emotional expression. In this paper, first we explain the concept of informationally structured space, robot partner that we are developing, and sensor network. Next, we explain the development of emotional model that consists of data acquisition from sensor network as an input and the model output such as face, gesture, and word expression. Finally, we conduct several experiments based on the proposed method, and discuss the ability of emotional model to develop robot partner that can perform emotional expression.

Switching between multiple performance criteria to improve performance 在多个性能标准之间切换以提高性能

A fundamental issue in model predictive control is the choice of the prediction and/or control horizon. Prior knowledge is often required. The transient performance is dependent on this choice. Moreover, a single choice is perhaps not the best option at all time instants. In this paper, we resolve the issue by introducing the novel idea of multiple performance criteria with switching. This method chooses automatically at every instant the best prediction and control horizon resulting in an improved transient response. The technique is then applied to the Shell benchmark control problem. We demonstrate that the tracking error is considerably reduced with lesser settling times.

Stackelberg strategy in linear quadratic dynamic game for descriptor systems 广义系统线性二次动态对策中的Stackelberg策略

In this paper the noncooperative linear quadratic game problem will be considered. If the second player is allowed to select his strategy first, he is called the leader of the game and the first player who select his strategy at the second time is called the follower. A stackelberg strategy is the optimal strategy for the leader under the assumption that the follower reacts by playing optimally.We present necessary and sufficient conditions for existence of optimal strategy for linear quadratic continuous non-zero-sum two player dynamic games for index one descriptor system. The connection of the game solution with solution of couple Riccati equation will be studied.

Characteristics of a Malay journalistic corpus 马来语新闻语料库的特征

This paper presents in detail a linguistics study of a journalistic corpus of Malay describing Indonesian terrorism. The initial raw text was manually annotated for its parts-of-speech. It is the first corpus of its nature ever established in Malaysia. The objective of this research is to conduct an empirical analysis of the actual patterns of use in journalistic texts. This paper presents the characteristics of Malay terrorism corpus which include the properties, word classes, named entities and word occurrences. The results of this work are given purely in terms of the characteristics of a Malay terrorism corpus. The results are highly useful for solving larger tasks in the Natural Language Processing area, such as Information Retrieval and Information Extraction, in the area of terrorism.

An eddy brakes dynamometer control system design using state space based PID controller 采用状态空间PID控制器设计涡流制动器测功机控制系统

Dynamometer is an automotive device that is used to perform engine testing. From this test, engine information such as power, torque, and emition can be obtained for design and analysis purposes. Eddy brakes dynamometer is considered because it is considerably more effective and controllable. In order to design a brakes control system based on state space approach, a state space model is required. ADALINE (Adaptive Linear Network) method is selected to identify state space model of the system from input-output data. The state space based PID controller is then applied by selecting the appropriate parameters using Ackerman pole placement method. Simulation and experimental results show that the closed loop responses satisfiy the design requirements.

This paper deals with a stochastic system and maintenance service contract. We consider a situation where an agent offers more then one service contract option and a company as the owner has to select the optimal option. This case is typically found in a mining industry where the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) is the only maintenance service provider. As repair time is related to the revenue of the company, service contract options need to consider the repair time target. We consider the repair time target from both the owner and OEM point of views. As an illustration, we give a numerical example with weibull failure distribution.

Truncated Newton's method for multiphase flow 多相流的截断牛顿法

A system of nonlinear transient partial differential equations coupled with nonlinear algebraic constitutive relationships are employed to model the flow of two immiscible fluids. A fully stable implicit time stepping and a spatial finite element discretization results in a large stiff nonlinear system of algebraic equations to be solved at each time step. The differential operators involved are self-adjoint, but the use of Newton-type solution methods requires the solution of a system of non-symmetric linear equations to calculate each Newton step. This paper describes an inexact solution to the problem of calculating the Newton step.

Knowledge discovery in scientific databases using text mining and social network analysis 基于文本挖掘和社会网络分析的科学数据库知识发现

This paper introduces a novel methodology to extract core concepts from text corpus. This methodology is based on text mining and social network analysis. At the text mining phase the keywords are extracted by tokenizing, removing stop-lists and generating N-grams. Network analysis phase includes co-word occurrence extraction, network representation of linked terms and calculating centrality measure. We applied our methodology on a text corpus including 650 thesis titles in the domain of Industrial engineering. Interpreting enriched networks was interesting and gave us valuable knowledge about corpus content.

Online subspace identification methods for MIMO model MIMO模型的在线子空间识别方法

Subspace model identification (SMI) has been a highly interest of research topic in recent years. Subspace methods such as Multivariable Output Error State Space (MOESP) and Numerical algorithms for Subspace State Space System Identification (N4SID) algorithms are well known and often implemented especially for multivariable identification due to the use of robust numerical tools such as the QR decomposition and singular value decomposition (SVD). SMI algorithms are attractive not only because of their numerical stability and simplicity, but also for the state space form that is very suitable in estimating, predicting, filtering and control design. Several simulation studies for MOESP and N4SID algorithms performed in online version are presented. This paper focuses on computation time, order selection and the stability from both methods when performed online.

Subspace methods such as Multivariable Output Error State Space (MOESP) and Numerical algorithms for Subspace State Space System Identification (N4SID) algorithms are well known and often implemented especially for multivariable identification due to the use of robust numerical tools such as the QR decomposition and singular value decomposition (SVD). SMI algorithms are attractive not only because of their numerical stability and simplicity, but also for the state space form that is very suitable in estimating, predicting, filtering and control design. Several simulation studies for MOESP and N4SID algorithms performed in online version are presented. EEG based hearing perception level estimation for normal hearing persons 基于脑电图的正常人听觉感知水平估计

Auditory evoked potential (AEP) is a type of EEG signal emanated from the scalp of the brain by an acoustical stimulus. AEP response reflects the auditory ability level of an individual. In this paper, AEP signals were recorded by stimulating repetive click-sound of 1000 Hz at different stimulus intensity levels of 25 dB, 40 dB, 50 dB and 70 dB. Spectral entropy features of four distinct bands were extracted from the recorded AEP signal. The extracted features were associated to the hearing perception level of an individual and a neural network models was developed. The maximum classification accuracy of the developed neural network model was observed as 91.4 per cent in discriminating the specified stimulus intensity levels. From the result, it is clear that a different auditory stimuli level reflects corresponding hearing perception level of a person. This study might lead to a real-time practical system for non-invasively estimating the hearing perceptional level of a person.
