Les questions écologiques et économiques qui se posent actuellement nous amènent à repenser les paradigmes existants en médecine et en santé publique, et à considérer qu’une évolution vers un mode de pensée holistique devient une nécessité. L’antibiorésistance, la pollution qui s’aggrave, la crise économique globale sont des faits qui ne se résoudront pas tout seuls tant que nous n’y apporterons pas des solutions adaptées. Et la crise du Coronavirus ne fait qu’amplifier les choses. La médecine alternative et complémentaire, et particulièrement l’homéopathie, ont quelques solutions à offrir, cela devrait être reconnu et soutenu par nos autorités de santé. L’OMS a déjà publié un plan stratégique ambitieux à cet effet. Cette présentation a pour but de montrer les atouts et l’impact que l’homéopathie peut avoir pour notre système de santé du futur. Elle vise à souligner ce qui serait à améliorer dans sa présentation et sa promotion pour atteindre cet objectif.

Current environmental and economic challenges lead us to reconsider the existing paradigms in medicine and public health, and to aknowledge the holistic paradigm as a necessary evolution. Antimicrobial resistance, the severe environmental pollution, the global economic crisis are facts that won’t change until we find adapted solutions to tackle them. And now the Covid 19 crisis even worsens the situation. Complementary and alternative medicine, generally speaking and especially homeopathy among them have some of the needed solutions to offer, and should be considered and endorsed by our health authorities. WHO has already drafted an ambitious strategic plan in regards. This presentation aims at describing the added value and the impact homeopathy can have in the future healthcare system. It also underlines the necessary changes in its promotion and presentation to reach this goal.

La formation du bilan d’énergie, qui se traduit par le maintien ou au contraire les variations du poids corporel, est le produit d’un ensemble extrêmement complexe où se retrouvent génétique, physiologie et psychisme. Les apports énergétiques (par la voie de la faim, de l’appétit et des processus de satiation), de même que les dépenses (de repos, de thermogénèse, d’activité physique spontanée et volontaire) sont fondamentalement modulables, permettant dans de très larges limites l’adaptation de l’organisme aux diverses sollicitations et contraintes de la vie. La médecine homéopathique a depuis longtemps décrit ces divers éléments, tant dans ses conceptions diathésiques que dans sa Matière médicale.

The formation of the energy balance, meaning the maintaining of or, on the contrary, variations in body weight, is the product of an extremely complex combination of genetics, physiology and psyche. Energy intake (through hunger, appetite and satiation processes), and likewise expenditure (rest, thermogenesis, spontaneous and voluntary physical activity) are fundamentally modular, enabling the organism, within very wide limits, to adapt to the various demands and constraints of life. Homeopathic medicine has long described these diverse elements, both in its diathesis conceptions and in its materia medica.

À partir de l’étude observationnelle rétrospective de seize patients ayant consulté au moins une fois entre le 13 mars 2020 et le 16 juin 2020 pour des symptômes évoquant la COVID-19, il apparait une similitude isopathique avec la pathologie entrainée par l’infestation par Yersinia pestis. Les patients ayant reçu la prescription du médicament homéopathique, Sérum de Yersin, tant en traitement curatif de l’infection à Sars-Cov-2 qu’en traitement préventif de cette infection alors que celui-ci avait été prescrit en prévention de la grippe saisonnière, ont été améliorés. Un tableau clinique issu de cas guéris par ce médicament pourrait ainsi être constitué.

Based on the retrospective observational study of sixteen patients, having consulted a doctor at least once between 13 March 2020 and 16 June 2020, for COVID-19 symptoms, there appears to be an isopathic similitude with the pathology caused by Yersinia pestis infestation. Patients having been prescribed the homeopathic medicine Yersin Serum, both as a curative treatment for Sars-Cov-2 infection and as a preventive treatment for this infection, when it had been prescribed to prevent seasonal flu, improved. A clinical picture derived from the cases cured by this medicine could thereby be constituted.

Context

Faced with the failures he encountered in the treatment of chronic diseases, using only the principle of similarity, Samuel Hahnemann gradually developed a more global approach to the patient. He identified three miasms, nowadays also called chronic reaction modes (CRM), corresponding to the different reactions of the body to the disease. Taking scabies as a model, he developed the psoric miasm; based on urethral infections and venereal warts, the sycotic miasm and on syphilis, the syphilitic miasm.

Objective

To provide diagnostic information in order to identify a patient's CRM so as to propose the most effective therapeutic strategy.

Method

By comparing our clinical experience with Hahnemann's writings, we propose the essential characteristics of each CRM, using dermatology to illustrate the point.

Results

Psora is by far the most frequent CRM. It corresponds to a centrifugal struggle of the body against the disease. A balanced psora means being in good health. It covers many dermatoses, allergies and common functional pathologies when it is out of balance.

Conclusion

The real genius and originality of Hahnemann's work lies in the discovery of CRM. It thus provides us with a wonderful means of further individualisation. However, a chronic pathology almost never corresponds to a pure CRM. It is usually the combination of two or even three CRMs often requiring multi-diathetic treatment.

La matricaire, Chamomilla vulgaris, remède homéopathique illustrissime, semble avoir pour caractéristique une forte pulsion à réintégrer le sein maternel. Le remède Chamomilla est tiraillé entre deux tendances, une attirance vers le giron et une évolution inéluctable vers le monde adulte. Il s’ensuit un caractère irritable bien connu du remède et une grande sensibilité.

Chamomilla vulgaris, a well-kown homeopathic remedy, seems to have as a characteristic feature a strong desire to go back to the mother's womb. Chamomilla hesitates between two tendencies, an attraction to come back to the womb and a necessary evolution towards the adult world. The irritable nature of the remedy and a great sensitivity result from this fact.
