Quality has been shown as the major criterion in many supplier selection studies. Among various quality assurance activities, process capability indices are widely used to quantify the relationship between the actual process performance and specification limits in many high-tech industries. By a suitable analysis of an index, a production department can trace and improve a poor process to enhance the quality level and satisfy customer requirements. Recently, some practical process capability control charts were developed for illustrating the continuous assessments of process capability. These charts contain information regarding the ability of the process to meet or exceed customer requirement over the life of a process. However, the process distribution is often ab-normal. Therefore, this study integrates the bootstrap procedure to construct a capability control chart for non-normal processes. The simulations show that the empirical coverage probability of our proposed chart is close to the desired coverage probability as the size of subgroup is large enough.

This essay aims to discuss the changes of capital structure toward stock returns and return on assets, with a further introduction of interference factors of exchange rate risks. The correlational changes of both factors would be analyzed in terms of different fluctuation levels. The empirical results show significant discoveries: both the factors have positive correlations. Reasons can be deduced from the willingness of trading firms, the company operational requirements, and the psychology of return expectation. Thus, this study suggests the investors to include exchange rate fluctuation index, while the government shall timely open up to corporate transactions and the corporate should carry out overall exchange rate and interest rate hedging.

In this empirical research, the subjects were renowned direct sellers in China, and the survey was conducted with a questionnaire to (1) investigate whether adaptive marketing has any positive impact on sales performance through reliability and validity analyses, (2) analyze the comparison between direct and indirect impact and define the best analysis model, and (3) find out through reliability and validity analyses whether the introduction of mobile solutions to direct selling companies and salespeople has any positive impact on sales performance. This experiment is a theoretical and empirical investigation into the framework using the AMOS software. The model that considers the indirect impact between each dimension is better than the one that considers the direct impact. Adaptive marketing also positively impacts sales performance. The introduction of mobile solutions to the direct selling industry can improve sales capacity and benefit sales performance.

For managing the behavioral effect of the risk preference of decision makers (DMs) in a group decision, this study adapts the TODIM (an acronym in Portuguese of Interactive and Multi-criteria Decision Making) to deal with risk decision and combines with incremental analysis (IA) and group ranks to construct an integrated multi-criteria group decision support model. In consideration of the ordinal rank of each DM using IA and the relative weights of DMs, the approaches for converting the ordinal data to cardinal data and determining the weights of DMs based on the eigenvector of their ranking distance comparison matrix are also compared and discussed. Furthermore, sensitivity analyses of the parameters of the value function and different weights of DMs demonstrate the robustness of the integrated model. An example proves the proposed model to be feasible.

As economies develop and the pace of life accelerates, there is an increasing demand for frozen agricultural products as well as for good quality and fresh products to enter the production chain. However, relatively little information is available regarding the management of this form of "cold chain" to ensure the quality of frozen food, especially within a developing country context. Therefore, this study aims to fill this gap in the literature and provide feasible guidance for frozen food manufacturers in developing countries to establish both internal and external quality management systems for their supply chains. Examining a frozen corn cobs manufacturer in China, it is found that internal quality management with preventative and traceability systems are closely related to product quality, while the effectiveness of supply chain quality management moderates the extent of such relationships. Furthermore, it is found that organizations in their early stages of development can enhance the quality level by effective management without investing additional capital.

This study is to explore the relationship between the domestic banking industries devoting to the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) actions with their operating performance. In contrast to the previous studies, this study further observes the effect related to the bank risk taking degree. Regarding recent studies, it can be found the level of corporate social responsibility usually being access by qualitative indicators, but cannot observe the differences brought by the degree of the corporate devotion to CSR. In view of this, by using the CSR quantitative data provided by CSRHUB to the banking industry of Taiwan, taking into account of the operating performance and various levels of risk categories regression models, the empirical results confirm that when the banks devote to CSR, it will be helpful for the company accounting-based performance levels, but it could not explain the potential risk of default, only has a significant relationship with the operating risk. If the bank is the subsidiary of the financial corporation, although devoting to the CSR would increase the operating cost of the company; however, the external benefits associated with CSR could ease the pressure of having less operating profit, and mitigate the fluctuations in earnings.

As the rapid growth of e-commerce, how to convert participants into royal members or customers has become the major issue. The technology acceptance model (TAM) was the most popular theory to explain end-user's behavior towards information technology. How-ever, it stresses more the influence of information systems on consumer behavior and ignores the effect of social and psychological factors. Social identity theory provides a theoretical background to explain how psychological factors influence participant behavior. This re-search integrated both TAM and social identity theory to explore the factors affecting the positive behavioral intention of transaction virtual community (VC) members, so this study contributes to refine theory relating to behavioral intention in digital context. Research findings show that web service quality will enhance participants' social identification. Social identification will bring participants to positive behavioral intention, including spread pos-itive electronic word-of-mouth (eWOM), get information, and purchase intention. Finally, social identification is more powerful than web service quality. Traditionally, practitioners of transaction VC focus more on technological factors. These findings bring new insights for them.

Fuzzy time series relies heavily on the length of intervals and the formulation of fuzzy relationships. This study proposes a combination of fuzzy c-means (FCM) and frequency-weighted fuzzy logical relationship groups (FLRG) to overcome these problems. It is noted that FCM simplifies the process of fuzzification as it avoids the subjective measures to determine the interval length. However, the results of FCM is sensitive to initial values and it is easily trapped in the local minima. To overcome this, we propose a method to identify the initial centers. The frequency-weighted FLRG is deemed reasonable as the frequency indicates the likelihood of the occurrence of the fuzzy logical relationships (FLR) in the future. To examine the effect of these two factors on the modeling accuracy, the performance of the proposed model is compared to the existing models of equal interval length with no weights, frequency-and-recentness-weights, and a modified model that takes equal interval length with frequency-weights. The results are verified by performing the procedures with various number of groups on the enrollment data as well as some stock indexes. The results show that the proposed method outperforms the other models on these data.

This paper sets up a fuzzy evaluation decision system for course management in aboriginal physical curriculum. We employ the soft computing techniques and rule-base process to provide the strategy of policy evaluation as well as decision making. A new technique for fuzzy answering with two dimensional type are used in our sampling survey. By developing an interpretive structure process for the decision makers, we integrates fuzzy statistical analysis and distance measurement to achieve the goal. Empirical studies illustrate the realistic and efficiency of computation with fuzzy data in physical education curriculum. The result of this research will contribute to the development and implementation of a usable frame work strategy in the policy evaluation.

Quality function deployment (QFD) is a successful product design tool for analyzing customer demands. Recently, researchers have combined QFD and grey system theory for solving small size, uncertain and incomplete data problems. However, some problems, such as single grey values, competitive analysis and prototype product selections, require further investigation. To resolve these issues, this study integrates interval grey numbers, QFD and TOPSIS techniques to develop a grey product design and selection (GPDS) method. GPDS can help product developers identify important engineering characteristics, perform a competitive analysis and select the best prototype product(s) under a small size and uncertain data environment. A real-world case study (paper facial mask) is offered to explain the research process of the GPDS method. The case results indicate that GPDS helps the case company identify important engineering characteristics, understand the intended market position of a product and select the best prototype product.
