A Dynamic Local and Global Conjoint Particle Swarm Optimization Algorithm 一种局部与全局动态联合粒子群优化算法

Particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm has been developed extensively and many results have been reported. PSO algorithm has shown some important advantage by providing high speed of convergence in specific problems, but it has a tendency to be trapped in a near optimal solution and difficult in improving the accuracy by fine tuning. This paper proposes a dynamic local and global conjoint particle swarm optimization (DLGCPSO and DCPSO in short) algorithm of which all particles dynamically share the best information of the local, global and the group particles. It is tested with a set of eight benchmark functions with different parameters in comparison to PSO. Experimental results indicate that the DCPSO algorithm improves the search performance on the benchmark functions significantly, and shows the effectiveness in solving optimization problems.

Effect of Knowledge Management and Job Satisfaction on Organizational Loyalty of the Hospital Administrative Staffs 知识管理与工作满意度对医院行政人员组织忠诚的影响

With rapid changes in hi-tech information and the flourishing development of the internet, knowledge management seems to constitute a rather large challenge to the medical industry, and becomes a main topic of debate for their present and future success. In order to examine the effect of the knowledge management infrastructure, knowledge management capability and job satisfaction on organizational loyalty, this study conducted Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) to test the hypotheses with 399 questionnaires of hospital administrative staffs in Taiwan. In exploration of the model of this study, it was found that the factors greatly influencing organizational loyalty of hospital administrative staffs, in turn, were knowledge management infrastructure, job satisfaction, and knowledge management capability. The results of this research can help the authorities of hospitals to understand their staffs' job satisfaction and organizational loyalty, which will allow authorities to take the steps necessary to increase job satisfaction and organizational loyalty. Research implications and directions are discussed.

Pricing Strategy for Product Reuse with Multiple Quality Levels and Price- and Availability-Dependent Demand 需求依赖于价格和可用性的多质量层次产品复用定价策略

The study deals with optimal pricing model for recycling products, which are returned, recovered, and shipped into a secondary market for resale. The selling probability of recycling products is sensitive to their price and availability. This assumption is rational because price and availability often influence customer demand. The study also assumes that the three quality levels of collected returns exist, which affect the price they are sold for. This paper determines optimal selling prices for re-manufacturers. The exact closed-form solution is then derived and total profit is maximized to create the remanufacturing model. A numerical example and sensitivity analysis are conducted to demonstrate the model. The study provides managerial insights on the benefits of revenue management for product reuse. For example, if manager can develop an incentive return-subsidy policy to encourage consumer to offer better or more returns, the profits will increase more.

Vendor-Buyer Integrated Inventory Model with Quality Improvement and Negative Exponential Lead Time Crashing Cost 具有质量改进和负指数提前期成本的供应商-买方集成库存模型

In this paper, we consider the vendor buyer integrated inventory model with lead time reduction for non defective and defective items under investment for quality improvement. This paper presents an integrated inventory quality improvement investment and crashing cost by simultaneously optimizing the optimal order quantity, lead time, process quality and number of deliveries for non defective and defective items. Negative exponential lead time crashing cost is considered in the proposed model. Lead time is an important element in any inventory management system. In many practical situations, lead time can be reduced by an additional crashing cost, that is, lead time is controllable. Here, the buyer lead time can be shortened by paying an additional crashing cost which is negative exponential function of lead time. The objective is to minimize the total cost incurred by the vendor and the buyer. In this study first, we developed mathematical model and procedure of finding the optimal solution is developed. An iterative procedure is developed to find the optimal solution and numerical examples are presented to illustrate the result of the proposed model. The result are illustrate with the help of numerical example. Graphical representation is also presented to illustrate the proposed model.

Courier Collaboration in Pickup and Delivery Services by Hub Transshipment across Flexible Time Periods 在灵活的时间内通过枢纽转运的取件和交付服务中的快递合作

Most research work on pickup and delivery routing problems is concerned with developing solution algorithms. However, when the service area is large and job density is low, couriers frequently travel a long distance to serve a few customers. Service inefficiency can be attributed to inherent lacking of economies of scale and reflects on tough tradeoffs between courier utilization and customer waiting time. In this paper, operational policy design of courier services is addressed aiming at reducing both workload and waiting time. Regression metamodels of tour length are first constructed by simulation. Mean-value performance analysis of a new policy of hub transshipment across flexible time periods contrast to the periodical routing policy is next presented. Applicability condition of the new policy is provided. Finally, dynamic operation of the policy is illustrated with styled data of courier service at a large hospital.

Adopting Lanchester Model to the Ardennes Campaign with Deadlock Situation in the Shift Time between Defense and Attack 攻防转换时间僵局形势下阿登战役的兰彻斯特模型

General Karl Von Clausewitz believes that attack and defense in warfare are a state of interaction and response. The shift between attack and defense is involved with a short span of time difficult to define in concrete format. This paper extends Chen and Chu's model of the Ardennes campaign of World War II using the Lanchester equations. We use a new variable, deadlocked situation, to represent the shifting time between attack and defense. This article divides the Ardennes Campaign into three periods: (a) the initial period, German attacked while the Allies defended; (b) the middle period, both sides seized the initiative; (c) the final period, Allies attacked while Germans defended. In this paper, we apply Lanchester's Square Law to estimate the casualties by determining the shifting time between attack and defense. We obtain improved goodness of fit for the historical data.

This paper presents an inventory model for deteriorating items with Weibull distribution time dependent demand rate under permissible delay in payments. Mathematica software is used for finding optimal numerical solutions; computational procedures are proposed to find optimal cycle time, optimal order quantity and total relevant cost of all four cases. Numerical examples show the applicability of the model. Sensitive analysis shows that the results are quite sensitive with the variation of various parameters. Mathematical models have been discussed under four different situations.

Analysis of Reliability Characteristics of a Parallel System with External Supporting Devices for Operation 带外支撑装置并联系统可靠性特性分析

This paper deals with analysis of reliability characteristics of two unit active parallel system connected to external supporting devices in cold standby for its operation. First order differential equations method is used to obtain the explicit expressions for mean time to system failure, steady-state availability, busy period of repairman and profit function. Some numerical experiments are conducted in order to illustrate the effects of failure and repair rates on reliability indices mentioned above.

Studying Factors Causing Wordmark Confusions to Improve Brand Identity 研究造成词标混淆的因素,提高品牌识别度

By establishing a trademark map, an enterprise could understand the similarities among trademarks for trademark orientation. This study aims to analyze four similar patterns of word marks, namely (1) Alphabet Similar, (2) Pronunciation Similar, (3) Font Similar, and (4) Color Similar. From 2012 brand value report of BrandZ, Google is selected as the word mark sample in this study, tending to understand the confusion of graphic designers and consumers in the four similar patterns. Aiming at 34 graphic designers with more than 2-year design experiences and 30 consumers, the similarity test of trademark samples is proceeded to construct the trademark map presented by the graphic designers and consumers for detailed analyses and cognitive differences. The experimental results show judging differences in trademark similarity between the two groups that Font Similar is the major factor in trademark confusion. However, graphic designers are not likely to confuse Pronunciation Similar, and consumers do not easily confuse Alphabet Similar. The results could guide enterprises to the concept of trademark map when designing trademarks so as to obtain the optimal brand orientation.

A Minimax Distribution Free Procedure for a Multi-constraint Inventory Model with Deterministic Variable Lead Time 确定性变提前期多约束库存模型的极大极小无分布过程

Nowadays, considering real environment limitations, the effect of some constraints such as storage space and budget in determining optimal policies of inventory/production systems is a momentous concern of inventory managers. Hence, here, a budget constraint on total inventory investment and a maximum permissible storage space constraint are added simultaneously to a stochastic continuous review inventory system. The piece-wise linear crashing cost function which is widely used in project management is considered in this paper. The study relaxes the assumption about the form of distribution function of lead time demand by only assuming the mean and standard deviation of lead time demand are known. A minimax distribution free procedure is developed for the constrained problem. This study also shows that the respective budget and storage space constrained inventory model to be minimized is jointly convex in the decision variables. A numerical example is given to illustrate the discussed model.
