SEPP-ZVS High Frequency Inverter for Induction Heating Using B-SIT with Extremely Low On-resistance SEPP-ZVS高频感应加热变频器采用B-SIT极低导通电阻

B-SIT has an advantage that its on-resistance is extremely low compared to those of other power semiconductor switching devices. Accordingly, we can suppress its conduction losses during large current operation. Then, high conversion efficiency is expected when B-SITs are utilized as the switching devices of high frequency inverters. Here, we adopt newly developed B-SITs which have the maximum ratings 150 V/50 A and prepare a breadboard of a conventional single-ended push-pull (SEPP) high frequency inverter, which has a simplified circuit constitution and relatively wide range applications. This paper describes the characteristics of B-SIT on the basis of the experimental results of the breadboard. Its operational frequency is fixed at 50 kHz with PWM control technique for output power regulation. Its load is induction fluid heating systems for super-heated-steam production

Electrical supply for the separate small islands can be difficult. It is long way to the mainland. Need of power is small and cable lines are expensive. Electricity through the diesel generators is expensive too. One possible solution is using a combination of wind and solar powers, as reserve diesel generator too. Several islands in Estonia are supplied on such manner. Possible solution for the others is showed too

Technical Issues on Velocity Measurement for Motion Control 运动控制中的速度测量技术问题

Robust motion control requires accurate velocity information. The authors have proposed "synchronous-measurement method (S method)" that measures the velocity synchronous with alteration of pulse numbers. Accurate velocity measurement is achieved in all speed ranges with this method. The method, however, has several technical issues for application in practice: accuracy often deteriorates with nonideality of interpulse angles in optical encoders; and disturbance observer needs modification to deal with nonregular velocity measurement. This paper proposes some solutions for the issues in S method. Experimental results verify the validity of the solutions

Electrolyte Measurements Automation for Capacitor Research and Development 电容器研究与开发中的电解液测量自动化

The paper deals with the presentation of a complete measurement automation system (MAS) implemented in an Aluminium Electrolytic Capacitor Development Laboratory at EPCOS Hungary. The main role of the MAS is to facilitate the electrolyte and capacitor research and development, through the automation of the related measurement tasks, and to provide a powerful database system background for data retrieval and decision support. For the realization of the above requirements the National Instrument measurement and development tools were chosen as implementation and development platform. The presentation focuses on the architecture of the measurement system and presents the implementation process via a significant measurement ("Mixing (conductivity with single temperature)"), selected from the more then ten automated measurements. The results shows that with the introduction of the innovative MAS system in the Lab the research and development time for new electrolytes and capacitors has been decreased considerably

A General Method for Two-Level Bridge Type DC/DC Converter to Three-Level DC/DC Converter 二电平桥式DC/DC变换器到三电平DC/DC变换器的通用方法

This paper studies the approach of derivation of three-level (TL) half-bridge (HB) topology from conventional full bridge DC/DC topology. The derived TL HB topology has same device count and performance as the corresponding full bridge topology, and it is more suitable for high voltage applications. The derivation approach for different control method, i.e. PWM control, frequency control and phase shift control, are presented. Some novel TL HB topologies are proposed based on the approach. The experimental results from these novel topologies verify the validity of the proposed derivation approach.

Hybrid Energy Sources for Heavy Truck: Simulation and Behavior 重型卡车混合能源:仿真与性能

This paper proposes the study of an experimental test bench ECCE (Evaluation of the Components of an Electric Power train) which is a hybrid series vehicle. The aim of this work is to study this hybrid system while being focused on the various components (batteries, thermal engine, alternator, control), in order to make evolve this platform by testing several operating modes and also to determine the performance and operation limits. A work has been carried out on modeling and experimental tests in order to achieve a simulator which will represent the operation of the hybrid energy system and which can be used to study for example the decayed mode, the availability of the sources of energy and the functionalities of the various parts of a hybrid vehicle.

Static and Dynamic Electric Behavior of Compact Fluorescent Lamps 紧凑型荧光灯的静态和动态电气性能

The electric behavior of compact fluorescent lamps is analysed. In static conditions the lamp has a nonlinear voltage-current characteristic. In dynamic conditions the lamp has a dynamic conductance related to the static conductance by a differential equation. The lamp is simulated in two different circuits: one with a series reactor and another with a series reactor and a small capacitor in parallel. Good concordance was obtained between the results from the theoretical model and experimentally verified

Dynamic Thermal Simulation of Power Devices Operating with PWM Signals in a Three-Phase Inverter Drive System 三相逆变驱动系统中PWM信号驱动功率器件的动态热仿真

Fast power devices thermal simulation method based on averaging power losses over each cycle of PWM switching frequency is presented in this paper. For implementing a long real time dynamic thermal simulation of power devices, device power losses during transient process and static characteristics are defined as a function of device conduction current and junction temperature, and are represented by a lookup table. By carrying out the circuit electrical simulation, the device conduction current can be obtained. By combining the device conduction currents, global device temperature (GDT) and the data from the lookup table, the average power loss over each cycle of PWM switching frequency is then calculated for carrying out the thermal simulation. With the proposed method, a relative large simulation time step can be employed and simulation speed can be increased dramatically. The method is suitable for a long real time thermal simulation for complex power electronics systems.

Resistance welding is commonly used in many branches of industry. To perform the welding process high welding currents up to about 100 kA are required which are supplied by dedicated power electronic converters in pulsed power operation. Concerning electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) aspects of such equipment the new European standard EN 50240 has to be taken into account. In the paper adapted noise mitigation measures representing an alternative to costly and bulky power-line interference suppression filters are discussed. Main emphasis is laid on a special grounding system offering internal bypass paths for disturbance currents

To perform the welding process high welding currents up to about 100 kA are required which are supplied by dedicated power electronic converters in pulsed power operation. Concerning electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) aspects of such equipment the new European standard EN 50240 has to be taken into account. In the paper adapted noise mitigation measures representing an alternative to costly and bulky power-line interference suppression filters are discussed. A Novel High Performance Current Control for Shunt Active Filters 一种新型的高性能并联有源滤波器电流控制方法

This paper proposes an accurate and simple current control for shunt active filters (SAF) based on a P+Resonant compensator used in conjunction with traditional PI control. The proposed current control system is designed to operate with a single dq reference frame, synchronous with the 50 Hz supply voltage, for the compensation of 5th and 7th harmonics. Another major advantage of this strategy is the ability to eliminate the external disturbance from the 5th and 7th harmonic components caused by power supply. The principle of the proposed control method and the design procedure is here presented. Control stability under the variation of supply impedance is also investigated. Simulation and experimental results confirm the effectiveness of the suggested approach
