Nowadays, new motivations and tourists demands together with the international economic situation, commit the territories to search for new tourism products to consolidate the destinations. Among these new proposals, cultural tourism emerges with strength and museums tourism is a good alternative. In this context, the main objective of this work is to analyze the existence of structural social capital generated around the museums located in the city of Bahia Blanca (province of Buenos Aires, Argentina). The study analyses the social networking site Facebook specially. Social capital’s influence in the number of visitors that museums annually receive is also analysed. The paper carries out a brief conceptualization of cultural tourism and museums as dynamic elements of the territories. The study of structural social capital is made using the technique of social networks analysis (ARS) with the NODEXL program that allows identifying the structural characteristics of actors’ networks. Findings allow checking the hypothesis that a higher structural social capital is directly related to the annual number of visitors the museums receive.

This paper analyzes the socio-relational structure of the employees of the Secretariat for Personnel Management of the Federal District Court of Accounts (TCDF). The analysis of internal and external social relations allowed to map the network of relationships and identify the impact of relationships on actors’ performance. The research is characterized as qualitative and quantitative analysis and uses social networking associated with statistical analysis techniques. The results confirm the influence of interpersonal relations on the performance of employees. It is observed that social bonds formed between the employees of the body originate inside the institutional environment, which leads to a rapprochement between the formal hierarchy and structure and the social relationships established. These features allow the inference that trust development in the TCDF is associated to formal processes and the institutional structure.

The theory of social networks has been widely documented in the context of international migration. Most of these investigations focus on the strength shown by the ties of kinship and friendship to attract migrants. However, few studies have investigated the processes of network configuration and its structural influence on migration empirically. The objective of this article is to use the methodology of Social Network Analysis, to identify structural properties that may be influencing the spread of the migratory phenomenon in Venezuela, and to describe the reticular structure of skilled migration and its evolution towards the configuration of a possible transnational community. To do this, we collected data from personal (egocentric) networks among a community of Venezuelan living in Paris. The results confirm that the personal networks of the interviewees have the power to spread the migratory behavior in Venezuela and they show evidence of the configuration of a transnational community of Venezuelans in Paris.

This article describes the movements between cities of Russian tourists in Andalusia. With the application of network analysis strategies, we examined 1,681 displacements between 80 cities by 354 Russian tourists in Andalusia. The itineraries were reconstructed from information provided by tourists in a survey conducted between one and three years after their trip. With the analysis of QAP correlations, we explored the relationship between the route network and the distance matrix between cities, the itineraries offered by agency catalogs, car travel networks and the public transport network between cities. We also evaluated homophilia according to the thematic orientation of the visit, comparing "sun and beach" destinations with monumental visits. The routes of Russian tourists in Andalusia seem more influenced by the airport of arrival and the thematic definition of the visit, than by the offer of the agencies or the attractions associated with each tourist destination. With regard to this general trend, the only two elements of differentiation were the occasional cultural visits by sun and beach tourists, or the rental of cars by a small percentage of travelers.

The construction of an agenda for Climate Change Adaptation is a neither neutral nor intrinsically good, politically complex process. It builds a discoursive field were different social entities with particular interests and perspectives interact with each other while putting forward transformation paths with diverse social consequencies. Therefore, it is valid to ask, which are those paths, how are they developed, and to which political view are they aligned? For Venezuela, a country designated as Vulnerable by the UN (UNFCCC), what characterizes the techno-political discourse of the Venezuelan academic community that contributes to this Agenda, and how does it describe the Adaptation process? In the following work, these questions were answered by analyzing the structure of co-authorship and social capital networks associated with the authors and research groups identified in the literature. Moreoever, the scientific practices were described through the systematization of information related to their methodological approaches and scientific productivity, among others. There is a highly fragmented community framed in the narrative of risk management and reduction of climate change impacts, characteristic of the historical moment of construction of multilateral consensus and of the notion of anthropogenic climate change. Some of the ecological-political implications of the results obtained are discussed.
