Social media has big impact on daily life, which indirectly makes people change cultural mindset to modern perception. One of social media is Instagram, which this application used to build relationship between peoples through virtual communication and long-distance interactions efficiently. Educators and researchers often apply it in global contexts for educational purposes, such as teaching and learning English vocabulary. When talk about English Learning, basically vocabulary become important aspect to measure understanding and know the level of English aspects. Combining Instagram with learning English is effective way to increase many benefits, especially for students. This article attempts to address about how effective of Instagram as Medium to Develop Vocabulary Competence through Systematic Literature Review Method in senior high school level. The type of research is Systematic Literature Review method. Systematic Literature Review method is method of research that use to identify, study, review, evaluate, and interpret all available research. Related with that, this method refers to topic interest to some phenomenon with certain relevant research questions. The use of Google Translate (GT) in this present time is already well known as an application that helps the learning and teaching activity especially for EFL students. GT provides so many features that help the learners to find new vocabulary, pronunciation checker, spelling checker, and provides translation. GT also gives a free access for anyone to use it. Therefore, the study is aimed to analyze the role of Google Translate as a medium in EFL learning activity. This research was conducted by using Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method. Then, the data are collected from the database that used three keywords, such as Google Translate, EFL, and learning activity in total of 549 journal article. Based on the obtained data, there are 14 article journals that related to the topic specifically. The articles that mention the positive effect of using GT is 9 positive, 3 for neutral, and 2 negative. The positive effect of using Google Translate in EFL learning are improving writing ability, enriching vocabulary, translating word and effective to help in teaching and learning activities. In the other hand, there are some negative effects for student, those are being lazy of trying to translate by themselves and sometimes use GT for cheating in doing the assignment or examination because they rely too much in Google translate.

In this 4.0 industrial revolution, technology has many important roles in many aspects of life, such as in language education. If the students want mastering the four skills of English, the students have to master the English vocabulary. Unluckily, there are so many students who lack of vocabulary. It could be happened because the teacher used uninteresting media in teaching vocabulary. Now, the technology can solve that problem in order to help the students in mastering English vocabulary. One of the technologies that can help in the students to enrich the vocabulary is Duolingo Application. This research aim is to investigating the students’ of UIN Prof. K.H Saifuddin Zuhri Purwokerto perception toward the use of Duolingo application to enrich the students’ vocabulary. This research is using quantitative method. The data were collected using questionnaire that distributed to 30 students at UIN Prof. K.H Saifuddin Zuhri Purwokerto. In collecting the data, the researchers used 10 question in questionnaire, which were used to collect the data. Based on the data, the results shows that most of the students have good perception towards Duolingo application and they believe that this application can enrich their English vocabulary. So, it can be one of the effective media to enrich the students’ vocabulary mastery.

Speaking skill as one of skills in English competence is required clear interaction involved more than one person for getting the meaning what people say, as essential competence in language, speaking skill detected as the competence got worst impact caused by Pandemic, inside of the practice and development of, related on the students’ limitation while learning process. Nowadays, the rapid growth of technologies brings out the educational learning application or web. One example of educational technology is the automatic online grammar checker, Grammarly. Grammarly is an online application that is used to scan documents for grammar checkers and plagiarism checkers. It provides suggestions on all forms of corrective vocabulary and sentence or rephrasing suggestions. Besides, Grammarly also includes the correct word and provide several alternatives and identify possible misspellings of the word. Researchers used the systematic literature review as the method of the research. This systematic literature review aims to explore on how Grammarly as a medium for analyzing grammar is used in the process of the analysis. The researchers are interested to review the literature on Grammarly as a medium for analyzing grammar. Moreover, researchers attempt to look at the effectiveness of Grammarly on learning activities. Researchers found 35 journal articles that are eligible for the analysis. The result showed that the presence of Grammarly had been identified to be a good learning assistance and useful to use for students. Meanwhile, in the implementation of the application, Grammarly has a lot of room for improvement to be made in this application.

Information and communication technology (ICT) has developed so rapidly and become an inseparable aspect of human life. The development of information and communication technology (ICT) has been used by many people to facilitate and help human activities, including in the educational aspect. Nowadays, many teachers and educators use technology to help them to deliver and to transfer teaching materials to students. One of the most frequently used technologies today is video call (VC) which is a means of communication where a person can communicate directly by looking at the other person. Therefore, this study aims to see the improvement of students' speaking skills in English when using video call conversation (VCC) as one of the learning media. The method used in this research is mix method. The research data was obtained by giving speaking test and questionnaires to 35 students who took English classes, then interviews about the use of video call conversations were conducted with 15 selected students. The results shows that students experienced increased confidence when speaking English by using video call conversation (VCC) when compared to not using video call conversation (VCC). Then, students feel more interested and comfortable speaking in English when using video call conversations (VCC).

This study aims to determine the use of WhatsApp as a communication medium in learning English. This research was carried out at SMK N 1 Kawunganten with the object of the research are XI and XII grade from TKR department and English teachers in this school. Nowadays, social media is very easy to be accessed by smartphone users anywhere, anytime and in any activity. If viewed more specifically, currently there are types of social networks that have special features such as direct messages known as chat, voice features, even image or photo upload service features at social network users who also have the application. WhatsApp is one of the applications that are very popular and most downloaded in most of people. In the part of education ,WhatsAppis known as the most widely used online media between students and teachers or students and lecturers. The benefit of using WhatsApp ijn short made online learning is easier, the example is providing information about learning, materials, communication between students and teachers or students and lecturers, both personal and group, and even be used as a learning evaluation media. The method that we use in this study is a qualitative research with data collection techniques are interviews and observation. The first step we conduct interview with three of the English teachers in this schools. The next step we plan an observation used WhatsApp group. Based on the data we got a result that WhatsApp application was chosen because it has a practical and appropriate side to be used in SMK N 1 Kawunganten during learning from home. The Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic is a global problem that has an impact throughout the world, one of which is Indonesia. This is in line with the English Development Class 29 at IAIN Purwokerto which applies the Google Meet application in reading comprehension lessons. The aim of this research is to investigate students’ perception of using Google Meet in reading comprehension class. The method of this research used is a collaboration between quantitative and qualitative. The researchers used interview 4 students as a sample via chat Whatsapp and survey applied respondents answer sheets of any statement submitted via Google Form. The results are Google Meet is an online learning media that is easily accessible by students and students are greatly helped by the existence of Google Meet during the online learning. Some of students (8,9%) strongly agree, most students (80%) agree that the used of Google Meet caused material understanding easier and some students are disagree (11,1%) because of some obstacles they have. The conclusion of this research is students perception in the use of the Google Meet especially in learning reading comprehension proved to be effective.

Curriculum is the important part of education that support the teachers to deliver subject well. In Indonesian curriculum, English is one of subject which includes in foundation type. English takes crucial material because it is international language which has many uses in this day and age. In the other hand, teaching English is not easy. It can be seen from many problems faced by our English education. However, teachers should need assistance to support effective teaching and learning process. In this global era, ICT has become integral to the teaching-learning interaction. The purpose of this paper is to examine how important the application of ICT for optimizing the realization of the current English curriculum. The researchers choose a qualitative research with literature type and a descriptive analytical approach. The data collection method used is the study of documents or literature. The result of this research is to know the urgency of ICT in English learning. That is, whether ICT has a large enough influence to optimize English learning as conceptualized by the curriculum or, on the contrary, the integration between ICT and English learning is basically not really necessary.
