Abstract Education, in general, and environmental education, in special, is salvation and future of mankind, contributing by reorientation and interdisciplinarity of education to strengthening in values, behavior and lifestyles required for sustainable future development. The ecological and economic implications of better use of information on sustainable resource management lead to the development of perspectives, knowledge and skills that are so vital to environmental education (life skills education). Unfortunately, environmental criminality has reached fourth place in the category of illicit activities at the international level. Therefore, detailed knowledge of the relationship between economic fundaments, society and the environment is strictly necessary in order to understand the values that we want to reach, the effect on performance for identifying and promoting quality criteria. These criteria help the development of a toolkit and techniques needed to increase competences and creativity, in the context of opportunities, challenges and barriers imposed by environmental security. Public health, without an adequate living environment, cannot exist and for this reason, a global effort is mandatory to raise awareness and education of the population to fight against environmental crime on our planet.

Abstract The purpose of the paper is to thoroughly understand the soil cover in the Moroeni commune, Dâmboviţa County, in order to establish the best measures for its protection, improvement and judicious use. The paper was drafted on the basis of data gathered in three research stages: • the investigation and documentation stage, which took place at the end of the academic year 2016-2017; • the stage of the field, which took place in the summer of 2017, when we made direct observations (on the spot) in the studied area, we made sketches, photographs; • the processing and interpretation stage of the cartographic material, which took place during the academic year 2017-2018. In the paper are presented the pedogenic factors and processes that contributed to the formation of the soil cover in the studied territory, as well, there are described both morphologically and in terms of physicochemical analyzes the classes and types of soils that have been identified on the field. It also presents the main categories of use in the studied territory and the measures for the protection and improvement of soils in order to increase their fertility.

Abstract Although relatively recent, peach culture has grown great in our country due to the special quality of the fruit, its very complex chemical composition and the large production that can be obtained without much effort. Peach is a species slightly adapted to our climatic conditions, suffers from winter frost, but can provide productive and long productions of 10-15 years.

Abstract Agri-food systems include branching ramifications, which connect in the upstream the input suppliers with farmers, and downstream farmers, processors, retailers and consumers. In the last decades, at the level of the regions, food systems have undergone rapid transformation as a result of technological progress. The paper analyzes the changes made to the structure, behavior and performance of the agri-food system and the impact on farmers and consumers. Also, the role of agricultural research as a determinant factor of transformation of agri-food system is analyzed. The research objective is to develop technologies that cover the entire food chain (from farm to fork) and meet the specific requirements of consumers (from fork to farm) through scientific solutions in line with the principles of sustainable agriculture and ensuring the safety and food safety of the population.

Abstract Cannabis cultivated as the main raw material for textiles is another than the one used for its psychotropic effects. From a botanical point of view, however, plants are virtually imperceptible. What is changing is the concentration level of the active principle, depending on the type of cannabis. Cannabis Indica has a higher amount of resin and a higher cannabidiol percentage than the Sativa variety. The hemp cultivated for fibers and especially Cannabis sativa L, which includes the types grown in Romania and generally in Europe, have a low content of narcotic and hallucinogenic substances (0.2-0.3%). This hemp is specially formulated and used for the production of fibrer. The hempcultivated for drug is not grown in. Romania. Because there are no processing plants factories, all the production in Romania is sold for export. Subsidies are given for the cultivation of these varietes. The benefits are great because textiles obtained from hemp are superior to those from countries like China and Germany. The hempcultivated for drug is not grown in Romania.

Abstract In the last decades, the awareness of the harmful effects of environmental pollution on the quality of life of human beings has greatly increased. This awareness led to the legal regulation of the fundamental right to breathe fresh air, to drink clean water and to eat safe food. Among the concerns of the European institutions, we highlight the right to a healthy environment, as recognized in the Stockholm and Rio statements, but also the consumer’s right to use safe consumer products. Creating a framework of principles and procedures in accordance with the Universal Declaration on Human Rights, to guide States in the formulation of bio-laws, policies or other instruments in the field of bioethics, legislation to protect and promote the interests of present and future generations and to emphasize the importance of biodiversity and its conservation as part of the common heritage of humanity.

Abstract This paper presents data on sheep breeding in Romania and on a international level. The main objectives of the national breeding program will be presented. A study has been conducted to find out how consumers perceive buying sheep meat and their attitudes towards it. Strong effort is needed to promote the consumption of sheep meat, which will lead to the support of the sheep sector. It is necessary to form a strong consumer preference for sheep meat by communicating the positive (natural product) and durable characteristics of the product.

Abstract The results of energy estimation of a crop rotation link in the western part of Forest Steppe of Ukraine are presented. It is established that all proposed fertilizer systems are effective in terms of energy storage. It is proved that the use of mineral fertilizers in combination with organic fertilizers increases Kee indices by a factor of 1.2.

Abstract On the international scene, Europe expresses its views and acts concerted at an economic and political level, from trade and trade agreements to citizens’ safety and security as priority areas. Member States’ security cooperation has become routine. But the EU-27 is still the main promoter of European citizens’ food safety and security through sustained, transparent and sustainable deners, in order to combat climate change, limiting the use of bioresources conservation of genetic resource biodiversity. One of the strongest enemies of biodiversity is “poverty” and protection against it necessarily implies improving the well-being of humanity and fighting against underdevelopment.

Abstract This paper presents the events meant to promote Sibiu as a European Gastronomic Region. The collection of data from local public authorities and operators from traditional local gastronomy was carried out. The participation in three gastronomic events organized in the countryside allowed us to observe the number of locals involved in events, exhibitors and visitors. Local gastronomy products have also been identified. The sociological survey among 48 visitors allowed us to pinpoint the profile of people who participate in such events.
