The aim of the study was to determine the factor structure of the assessment scale of the Physical Education Teacher Attitude Questionnaire, as well as to ascertain the existence of gender, age, and differences in whether students practice some sport outside of school or not, in terms of attitudes toward different physical education teacher competences. A sample of 119 students of both genders, grades 5 through 8, was assigned a USF assessment scale, modeled on existing instruments for assessing student attitudes toward physical education and physical education teachers. The factor structure was determined by using factor analysis. The ANOVA results for gender differences indicate that there are no statistically significant differences in the attitudes of students towards the competences of physical education teachers. ANOVA results for differences between coaching students and non-coaches suggest that there are statistically significant differences between these groups of respondents regarding the factor of socio-emotional competence of teachers, in the sense that students who train a sport are more inclined towards the socio-emotional competences of teachers. The ANOVA results for age differences indicate that there are statistically significant differences between younger and older students, regarding both factors, in the sense that younger students are more inclined towards both the socio-emotional and professional competences of physical education teachers. Attitudes towards the teacher provide valuable information about what students think and feel about them, thus creating adequate conditions for effecting change and improving both teaching and relationships with students.

Stroke is a clinical syndrome, and one of the leading causes of death and disability, occurring under the influence of a large number of risk factors. The symptoms of a stroke are in correlation with the size, time and location of the lesion. Rehabilitation, which involves the application of conventional and supplementary methods, relates to the assessment of the ability, the level of damage of the affected functions, and an adequately designed rehabilitation program. The use of dance, as a rehabilitation procedure in post-stroke patients, requires listening and active participation of an individual with a specific motor reaction to the stimulus. The primary aim of this article is to demonstrate the importance and effects of the application of dance in the rehabilitation process in post-stroke patients, with a special emphasis on the process of improving motor skills and functions. In accordance with the set criteria and purpose of study, scientific research papers were collected and analysed from the PubMed/MEDLINE, Science Direct and Oxford Academic databases, all published in the period between 2010 and 2019, and all indicating the importance of the application of dance when treating post-stroke conditions. The obtained results suggest that dance, which is basically a sports-recreational activity, when applied for therapeutic purposes in persons after stroke, contributes to the development and recovery of motor abilities, balance, mobility, endurance, coordination, motor skills, stance, walking and precision. Also, dancing is of great importance for the improvement of the functioning of the whole organism, which directly or indirectly affects the recovery of motor functions and the overall welfare of an individual.

The purpose of using notation analysis is to collect as much data as possible regarding the abilities and characteristics of individual players, as well as the entire team. Using the collected database, coaches can make objective decisions about the way individual players and the entire team play. The paper analyzes a match between FF Malmӧ and FC Chelsea, played in the UEFA Europa League round of 32. The overall score was 1:2 for Chelsea. A notational scouting analysis was conducted using a programme called Pinnacle Studio 15. Offensive actions were analyzed, from the moment the team came into possession of the ball. Player activities were recorded by means of the notational system. A total of 30 elements of offensive tactics were monitored. The possession of the ball (66/34), the total and the totally correct significantly higher number of passes (781/321; 741/265), the shot on goal inside the penalty area (4/1) and the higher percentage of successful dribbles in the game 1:1 (68, 75/50) can be singled out as significant factors in the end result in favor of FC Chelsea. All that has been analyzed indicates the way FF Malmö plays, as well as the way in which one should stand against such a play, which is the primary goal and reason for conducting the notational analysis.

The aim of the paper is to present various methods for the evaluation of biological maturity which can define the differences between chronological age and biological maturity in young athletes. Biological maturation is a nonlinear process, taking place at all organic levels, differing from the flow of time after birth. From this point of view, there is a need to determine the differences in the rate of biological maturation within the chronological period. Defining the biological maturity of athletes has a multidimensional significance, the evaluation of youth's maturity in comparison with the chronological age has an implicit value, the selection and prediction of sports achievement at the individual level is crucial for the planning and programming of the training process. Maturity evaluation feedback has a function in preventing and restraining injuries of athletes who are behind their peers. Athletes who are advanced in comparison to their chronological generation, in younger selections, reach a plateau of sports performance early, which can negatively affect success in the senior period. The paper presents the basic methods of evaluation of biological matrices used in the diagnosis of young athletes. Biological maturity can be determined by means of radiography, anthropometric measurements, and sex-based indicators.

Using the example of a major basketball sporting event such as the 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup, we can clearly see how sport, as a particularly dynamic social field, has found its foothold in online media such as Adria Media Group platforms thanks to companies like Roda, which have become a part of the experience of major sports competitions, thus establishing a special relationship with consumers. The Roda commercial was present for over 16 days, 768 hours, or 3,987,456,000 seconds, a figure that is unimaginable on classic media such as nation-wide TV channels. In addition to the quantitative benefit mentioned above, it is important to note that the relations with Roda consumers, namely 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup audience and AMG internet media audience have improved qualitatively because in the virtual market consumers become creators of the offer and from the very beginning direct the features of what they will buy.

The aim of this review paper is to determine the significance of game interruptions for scoring a goal during a football match by providing a detailed analysis of the relevant literature. The collection of compiled research articles covered the period between 2000 and 2018. The following electronic databases were used to search the relevant literature: PubMed, MEDLINE, Google Scholar, EBSCO, all referring to the period from 2000 to 2018. The search included both male and female players of different age categories. Scientific papers that were excluded from this analysis are the ones written in another language, those presenting results from the training sessions, but not from the competition matches, and the papers which did not analyze game interruptions. The results show statistically significant correlation between game interruptions and scoring a goal. The most goals were scored from free kicks, followed by corner kicks. About 30% of the goals from different competitions and games were achieved after a set play. The factors that have the highest effect on scoring goals after a set play are the number of players in the wall, a distance from the goal and the number of players in the field between the goalkeeper and the position of the free kick. The data showed little or no differences, expressed in percentages, in terms of correlation between male and female players, including both senior and junior categories. Game interruptions have a significant impact on scoring a goal. They are part of the standard game situation and as such they require special attention during analysis.

Identifying talented young athletes and their timely integration into the process of training the sports discipline best suited to their abilities is one of the most important tasks of sports science and profession. Wrong decisions are numerous and extremely painful. The problem of talented individuals lies in the fact that their abilities are not limited to a single domain, but a number of different ones. The fundamental dilemma is related to the decision concerning the selection of a sports discipline and the time period of engagement in a specific sport. Is early engagement of children in sport beneficial or not? The answer is both yes and no! Early engagement of children in sports is a trend in modern sport. Many young talented athletes burn out too soon. Many coaches and overly ambitious parents often have quite unrealistic expectations from their children’s sports results. Talented young athletes often terminate their sports career due to overly ambitious and specific training, injuries and lack of intrinsic motivation.

CrossFit is recognized as one of the fastest growing training programs in the World. Due to its width of scope and essentially simple applicability, it has registered a large number of practitioners and clubs practicing it worldwide in the last ten years. Its simple and understandable concept has made it possible to create a large social capital - a large number of practitioners, instructors and clubs, which are also a part of the program promotion (word-of-mouth). In addition to becoming a category in itself, CrossFit has grown into a distinct culture, and the foundations of this program are its functionality and people’s need to exercise and live a healthy life. Due to the number of people practicing this program, the 5-digit number of CrossFit clubs worldwide and its large and continuous media presence, it can be said that CrossFit has become a constantly evolving global sports movement with a huge marketing potential. CrossFit is one of the best examples that simple things and ideas are usually the most effective in any branch, including the sports industry.

The aim of the paper was to analyze tourist participation in animation programs during daily recreational activities within package tours which included apartment accommodation in Greece, i.e. whether there are differences between male and female participation rate in certain activities. Indirectly, based on the obtained results, it is necessary to establish whether animation programs should be conducted jointly and/or they should be planned and conducted separately for men and women. Another aim was to determine whether any differences occurred in animation programs during multiannual monitoring.

The modern way of life, which is characterized by insufficient movement, most often leads to poor posture. Children and young people exercise less and less and spend more and more time in passive sitting and lying positions. Such habits take them away from their natural needs for movement (hypokinesis) and significantly reduce most of their physical and functional abilities. The question is why do so many children sit with such poor posture? Habit is one of the main reasons, but not the only factor of poor posture when sitting. The article especially discusses the environment factors that may indicate the causes of improper posture, and occur during school: several hours of sitting in school desks, a large number of classes, short breaks, dysfunctional and inadequate classroom furniture, insufficient lighting of the work surface, heavy school bags and improper way of carrying one. Due to the influence of various factors: family, preschools, schools, and others in the formation of proper posture, it is necessary to create a system of preventative measures from an early age, which includes educating children. Prevention not only affects school success but also changes the attitude towards oneself, peers, and other people, which contributes to the development of positive traits and characteristics of the person and their successful socialization.
