Ranking of Influential users based on User-Tweet bipartite graph 基于用户-推二部图的影响力用户排名

Today, even if we are still geographically situated, but real-time news and trends are able to reach us no matter how far we are or how huge is the time difference. This is due to Social Networks Services and the strong involvement of people to them through posting, sharing and interacting online with information. Therefore, we propose a study on patterns of information diffusion on Twitter during global scale events. We also introduce a method for identifying influencers and quantify popularity of Tweets on the Network based on a user-tweet bipartite graph.

Ultra-wideband Pulse Radiation Characteristics of the Step Discontinuity in Microstrip Line 微带线阶跃不连续的超宽带脉冲辐射特性

The radiation characteristics of the step discontinuity in microstrip line stimulated by ultra-wideband pulse are investigated. The width step of the microstrip line arouses radiation as well as reflection and the variation of the radiation efficiency with different matching levels is studied. The waveforms of the radiated electric fields from the step discontinuity in the microstrip line are provided. The time-domain patterns are utilized to characterize the radiation performance of the step discontinuity. The radiation of the step discontinuity is concerned with the reflected and the transmitted ultra-wideband pulse signals and thus, the waveforms and the time-domain patterns are associated with the ports excited by the ultra-wideband pulse signals.

Wideband Circularly Polarized UHF RFID Reader Antenna 宽带圆极化UHF RFID阅读器天线

A wideband circularly polarized (CP) stacked square-patch antenna using single-feed is proposed for ultra-high frequency (UHF) radio frequency identification (RFID) readers. The proposed wideband CP antenna comprises of a main radiating patch, a parasitic patch, and a probe. A cross-shaped slot and a square-ring-shaped slot are cut into the radiating square-patch and the parasitic square-patch, respectively. The CP radiation is generated by the embedded cross-shaped slot in radiating square-patch along the diagonal line. The area and location of the embedded slots as well as the separation between the patches are optimized for a wideband CP radiation. The measured impedance (greater than 10 dB return loss) and CP radiation (3 dB axial ratio) bandwidths of an antenna prototype are 18.0%, or 165 MHz (0.840 GHz – 1.005 GHz) and 11.6%, or 105 MHz (0.855 GHz – 0.960 GHz), respectively. The measured gain is greater than 7 dBic across the 3 dB axial ratio frequency range, while the antenna dimension is 0.54λo×0.54λo×0.087λo (λo is free-space wavelength at 0.9 GHz).

NFC-based Smart Notification System for Hospital Discharge Process and Bed Management 基于nfc的出院流程和床位管理智能通知系统

An efficient discharge workflow with objective to minimize the turnaround time upon discharge of a patient in a typical hospital environment is proposed. The implemented workflow, which relies on a near-field-communication (NFC)-based patient discharge event, triggers a sequence of notifications and actions both by the nurses and housekeepers till the bed is cleared for occupancy by the next patient. The notifications are automated through Telegram Bot API. Android-based mobile applications are developed for both nurses and housekeepers. The mobile apps allow for follow-up actions and the status of the bed to be captured and sent to the cloud. Key functionalities of the system include immediate notification send to the housekeepers when a patient leaves the hospital, simple sending of cleaning requests and viewing of bed status. The system has been deployed in a hospital and evaluation is carried out in terms of improvement in the turnaround time of hospital beds.

Satellite Spot Beam and Decollision Algorithm for Pure Collective Aloha MAC Protocol 纯集体Aloha MAC协议的卫星点波束和解碰撞算法

Modern satellite random access protocols require advanced medium access control (MAC) protocols to achieve high system throughput. There are both asynchronous and synchronous satellite MAC protocols in the literature. The former MAC protocols do not require packet slot boundaries alignment using a synchronization mechanism. Here, our key contributions are a proposed Pure Collective Aloha MAC protocol with Decollision Algorithm (DA) and Spot Beam (SB) (PCA-DA-SB) and its closed-form throughput formulation. This is an asynchronous MAC protocol. A batch of packets is buffered before being transmitted sequentially into the channel for this proposed MAC protocol and both the DA and the SB technologies are utilized to enhance the system throughput. The analytical formulation of the proposed MAC protocol is derived in detail. The numerical results, using the closed-form formulation and the computer simulations, show that the peak throughput of the proposed MAC protocol is up to 90% exceeding that of a Pure Aloha (PA) MAC protocol with the DA and the SB technologies.

Analysis of Pure Collective Aloha MAC Protocol with Multilevel Powers 多级幂次纯集体Aloha MAC协议分析

The key contributions of this paper are the proposed Pure Collective Aloha (PCA) medium access control (MAC) protocol with multilevel powers and its closed-form theoretical analysis. The PCA MAC protocol collects a batch of packets before transmitting these packets sequentially in the channel. The key idea in the design of this PCA MAC protocol with multilevel powers is to spread out the arrivals of each batch of packets in a channel and the multilevel powers of the packets received at the receiver allow capture for the case of the strongest signal power packet among the overlapping lower signal power packets to be successfully received at the receiver. If it is the only received packet, it is successfully received, regardless of its received power level. The PCA MAC protocol with multilevel powers is analyzed theoretically. The explicit closed-form expressions for the optimal offered loads and the maximum throughputs of the Pure Aloha, the Slotted Aloha and the PCA MAC protocols with multilevel powers are presented. The numerical results show that the throughput of the asynchronous PCA MAC protocol with multilevel powers is about 90.5% better than that of the asynchronous Pure Aloha MAC protocol with multilevel powers and can approach the maximum throughput bound of the synchronous Slotted Aloha MAC protocol with multilevel powers, without the need of any synchronization mechanism to slot boundaries.

Cross-Correlation Based Efficient Technique For Vehicle Occupancy Detection using Magnetoresistive Sensors 基于互相关的磁阻传感器车辆占用检测技术

An efficient method to determine the occupancy state of a parking lot by determining the arrival and departure of vehicles from the perturbations in the magnetic field, is proposed. The method is based on cross-correlation of the magnetic field data with a suitable reference signal as template. The resulting correlation coefficient determines arrival and departure events and hence the occupancy state of parking lots. Results show that 2-axis magnetometer would suffice for accurate state-change detection. With threshold based conditions on the change in the signal, to determine when the correlation computation needs to be carried out, leads to efficient implementation of the algorithm in low-power sensor nodes. Investigation of placement location of the sensor nodes show that the sensor can be placed in between the parking lots, potentially reducing the number of required sensors to half the number of parking lots.
