Performance comparison evaluation of speech enhancement using various loss functions 使用不同损失函数的语音增强性能比较评估

This paper evaluates and compares the performance of the Deep Nerual Network (DNN)-based speech enhancement models according to various loss functions. We used a complex network that can consider the phase information of speech as a baseline model. As the loss function, we consider two types of basic loss functions; the Mean Squared Error (MSE) and the Scale-Invariant Source-to-Noise Ratio (SI-SNR), and two types of perceptualbased loss functions, including the Perceptual Metric for Speech Quality Evaluation (PMSQE) and the Log Mel Spectra (LMS). The performance comparison was performed through objective evaluation and listening tests with outputs obtained using various combinations of the loss functions. Test results show that when a perceptual-based loss function was combined with MSE or SI-SNR, the overall performance is improved, and the perceptual-based loss functions, even exhibiting lower objective scores showed better performance in the listening test.

Analysis of normalization effect for earthquake events classification 地震事件分类的归一化效应分析

This paper presents an effective structure by applying various normalization to Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) for seismic event classification. Normalization techniques can not only improve the learning speed of neural networks , but also show robustness to noise. In this paper, we analyze the effect of input data normalization and hidden layer normalization on the deep learning model for seismic event classification. In addition an effective model is derived through various experiments according to the structure of the applied hidden layer. As a result of various experiments, the model that applied input data normalization and weight normalization to the first hidden layer showed the most stable performance improvement.

Design of acoustic meta-material silencer based on coiled up space 基于卷绕空间的声学超材料消声器设计

: In this paper, we design an acoustic meta-material silencer that operates at low frequency to reduce noise in duct. A high refractive index meta-material silencer is demonstrated with a combination of zigzag structured thin waveguide and helmholtz resonator, which reduces the speed of sound. Finite Element Method (FEM) analysis via thermo-viscous acoustic mesh is performed in order to calculate thermo-viscous dissipation in sub-wavelength waveguide. Sound power reflection, transmission and absorption coefficients are obtained utilizing 4-Microphone Method. The results show that cut-off frequency and transmission loss can be controlled through adjusting intervals of the zigzag structures. A wide-band acoustic silencer is also suggested by connecting meta-materials in series or parallel.

Design of the broadband pattern of a cymbal transducer array 钹式换能器阵列宽带方向图的设计

The cymbal transducer is a miniaturized version of the Class V flextensional transducer. It has low resonant frequency and high output pressure characteristics compared with its size. However, since it has high quality factor and low energy conversion efficiency as well, it is often used as an array rather than single. When used as an array, a big change in the frequency characteristics occurs in comparison with that of the single transducer due to the interaction between constituent transducers. In this study, we designed a pattern of cymbal array with a view to having broadband characteristics. Three transducers having different center frequencies were designed first. The designed cymbal transducers were used to construct all possible patterns of a 3 × 3 planar array. After analyzing frequency characteristics of these patterns, based on the results, we derived the most effective pattern to achieve a higher fractional bandwidth. The derived array pattern showed an improvement of the fractional bandwidth by 24.9 % in comparison with the reference model.

Investigation of the listening environment of classrooms for elderly people using speech intelligibility tests 使用语音清晰度测试对老年人课堂听力环境的调查

The ultimate goal of the present study is to establish the acoustical performance standards of classroom for the elderly who are incomplete hearing people. As a pilot survey, the present study was conducted to investigate the listening environment and the actual condition of speech perception performance of education facilities for elderly, Acoustic performances of two education facilities for elderly in Cheongju were measured and questionnaire survey was done to elderly people. Also, speech intelligibility tests were undertaken by Consonant Vowel Consonant (CVC) and Phonetically Balanced Words (PBW) methods. The questionnaire survey showed that the elderly were satisfied with the listening environment of the educational facilities in general. Also, it was found that acoustical performances satisfy with the acoustic criteria of general classrooms in Korea. However, the results of the speech intelligibility test showed that the scores of elderly were significantly lower than twenties with normal hearing. It was also revealed that the scores are reduced as the age increases. Thus, it was concluded that the acoustical performance standards of educational facilities for the normal hearing were not suitable for educational facilities for the elderly.

Active control of pump noise of dishwashers using FxLMS algorithm 基于FxLMS算法的洗碗机泵噪声主动控制

In this paper, active noise control was performed to reduce radiated noise in the low frequency band of dishwashers. First, through an analysis of the noise environment of the dishwasher, it was confirmed that the pump noise contributed the most to the radiated noise in the low frequency band, From the result of the noise environment analysis, the reference signal was selected to be the vibration signal of the pump body. The reference signal was obtained by using the accelerometer on the pump body, which can prevent acoustic feedback. The error signal sensor was selected as a microphone located at 1 m in front of the dishwasher and 0.5 m in height. And to design the controller, the error signal and the reference signal were measured at the operational rpms of the dishwasher at 2,500 rpm, 2,600 rpm and 2,800 rpm, and the secondary path transfer function was measured. The designed controller was mounted on Digital Signal Processor (DSP) equipment, and the control performance was verified experimentally. As a result of the measurement at the 3 operational rpms, the 7 multiple component of pump operating frequency decreased by 1.93 dB, 4.43 dB, 5.15 dB per rpm, and the 12 multiple component decreased by 6.67 dB, 2.34 dB, 4.28 dB per rpm. And overall Sound Pressure Level (SPL) decreased by 0.84 dB, 2.58 dB, 1.48 dB by rpm.

A study on the characteristics and actual conditions of operation noise and vibration of rope elevators in high-rise apartments 高层公寓绳索电梯运行噪声与振动的特点及实际条件研究

: An Elevator is a very important equipment in high-rise apartments. The noise generated by an elevator is causing inconvenience to residents. However, there are no laws and regulations on elevator noise, and moreover it is not clear how to measure and evaluate elevator noise. For these problems, the first priority should be given to grasping the characteristics of noise and vibration generated during elevator operation. In this study, noise and vibration generated when operating a rope-type elevator in a high-rise apartment are divided according to the number of floors and the type of room, and the noise and vibration are simultaneously measured to understand the characteristics of noise and vibration. The correlation coefficient according to the experimental conditions was determined. As a result, it was found that elevator noise was mainly composed of components in the 125 Hz to 500 Hz band, and the correlation with vibration in the 125 Hz to 500 Hz band was also significant. For the top layer, it was confirmed that the correlation coefficient was very high at 0.8 level.

However, there are no laws and regulations on elevator noise, and moreover it is not clear how to measure and evaluate elevator noise. For these problems, the first priority should be given to grasping the characteristics of noise and vibration generated during elevator operation. In this study, noise and vibration generated when operating a rope-type elevator in a high-rise apartment are divided according to the number of floors and the type of room, and the noise and vibration are simultaneously measured to understand the characteristics of noise and vibration. The correlation coefficient according to the experimental conditions was determined. As a result, it was found that elevator noise was mainly composed of components in the 125 Hz to 500 Hz band, and the correlation with vibration in the 125 Hz to 500 Hz band was also significant. Measurement and simulation of high-frequency bistatic sea surface scattering channel in shallow water of Geoje bay 巨济湾浅海高频双基地海面散射通道的测量与模拟

: High-frequency bistatic sea surface scattering channels according to sea state were measured at an experimental site of Geoje bay in April 2020, and compared with predictions based on scattering theory. A linear frequency-modulated signal with a center frequency of 128 kHz and a bandwidth of 32 kHz was used for the acoustic measurements. Sea surface wavenumber spectrum was calculated from surface roughness data measured by a wave buoy, and bistatic scattering cross-section of Small Slope Approximation (SSA) based on the wavenumber spectrum was estimated. In addition, scattering from near-surface bubbles using wind speed measured during experiments was considered. Surface scattering channel intensity impulse responses were simulated using the scattering cross-section and the simulation results were compared and analyzed with the field data.

Design optimization of tuned mass damper for the vibration of hydraulic pipeline 液压管路振动调谐质量阻尼器的设计优化

This paper carried out the optimal design of Tuned Mass Damper (TMD) to attenuate the vibrational energy of pipeline subjected to fluid movement. Under the uncertainty of the vibration source and the specification of a pipeline system, an adaptive approach to design TMD is suggested. A surrogate pipeline system model was designed using MATLAB, and the optimal design method was developed based on the surrogate pipe model. The developed optimization method was validated using Finite Element (FE) model in ANSYS Workbench. And the TMD was designed to account for measurement error and installed on the industrial pipeline system. It showed that the pipeline vibrational amplitude was reduced by 95 % after installing the TMD.
