Towards a More Efficient Use of GPUs 迈向更有效地使用gpu

This paper presents a new proposal of use for GPUs in which more than one job can be executed simultaneously in a single GPU. The requirements for this are provided and a performance evaluation for such a new scenario is also presented. Finally the results of these performance measurements are analyzed and the paper is concluded with some key guidelines for getting the most of these devices under the performance point of view.

New Methodology of Modal Analysis for a Dual Cooled Fuel Rod with and without Water in a Flow Channel 流动通道中有无水的双冷燃料棒模态分析新方法

To compare the effects of water inside on outside of a hollow cylinder of dual cooled fuel rod, a new methodology of modal analysis is suggested and verified by experiments. When mass of water inside and outside the rod is the same, the latter decreases natural frequencies further than the former does. In this paper, we describe the method in detail and explain the variation of the dynamic properties according to the ratio of the mass of water inside to outside of a dual cooled fuel rod.

Time scale analysis is the generalization of discrete and continuous analysis. In this research paper, we extend our previous study cite{unalsinan} and develop some important concepts, tangent planes and partial derivatives for multi-variable functions on timescales with emph{Mathematica}.

Low Cost Virtual Animation Effects for Sports Broadcasting: Mosaics, Flags and Big-Sized Flags 低成本的体育广播虚拟动画效果:马赛克,旗帜和大尺寸旗帜

Big TV production companies often use expensive commercial products able to apply augmented reality to sport broadcasts. In this paper, we present a method for simulating several animation effects performed by the audience in the stands, such as mosaics, little flags and a big-sized flags. The main goal is to develop a very simple method, using low-cost graphics hardware, affordable for a not so big company, while achieving visual realism and computational efficiency. We define a common geometry model for different effects, a construction process for each effect, and a common animation process by means of a shader. The construction process instantiates the geometry model to the characteristics of a particular effect. The animation process is entirely coded in GLSL for real-time rendering. The movement is simulated by means of a vertex displacement technique, which uses a noise function to modify the shape of geometry.

Computing of Extremal Characteristic Values of Symmetric Matrices by Individual Homotopy Algorithm 用个体同伦算法计算对称矩阵的极值特征值

In this pape, we develop a new Homotopy method called the individual Homotopy method to solve the symmetric eigenproblem. The individual Homotopy method overcomes notable drawbacks of the existing Homotopy method, namely, (i) the possibility of breakdown or having a slow rate of convergence in the presence of clustering of the eigenvalues and (ii) the absence of a definite criterion to choose a step size that guarantees the convergence of the method. On the other hand, we also have a good approximations of the largest eigenvalue of a symmetric matrix from Lanczos algorithm. We apply it for the extremal eigenproblem of a very large symmetric matrix with good initial points.

Management of Classified Information for Information Dispersion Technology 面向信息分散技术的分类信息管理

In recent years, we treat various electronic documents in a computer. This makes reuse and redistribution convenient. However, the information on electronic data has risks. We propose the technology of dividing information safely and managing it for avoiding of this problem. This technology is designed based on the algorithm of mathematical information division. The features of this technology are conditions which restore the divided information. For example, original information is divided into N blocks. The divided block required in order to restore this information is M pieces (M≥N). It is impossible to restore the original information in less than M blocks. This technology is realized by M-1 degree equation. Original information is intercept of the equation, and N number points one the equation are divided data. We program this technology, and implement the application which put together this technology and AES[1] (AES: Advanced Encryption Standard).

Development of Smart Devices for Secure Communication in the SCADA System SCADA系统中安全通信智能设备的开发

As the power grid evolves the smart grid, the security in the SCADA system becomes even more important than ever. The basic security requirement is to guarantee the secure exchange of messages between the nodes in the system. The primary security concerns for the secure operations are to guarantee the message authenticity and integrity. For this purpose the several documents which explain the security measures and protocols have been published by the international standard organizations for secured SCADA systems. But developing the substation devices which implement the security function is also challenging task considering the functions should be implemented mostly in embedded system with limited computing resources. In this paper we address the implementation issues when the both security function and the communication function are implemented on the embedded system devices in future power grid including the SCADA network. We propose an approach to implement these functions on a general purpose multi-core microprocessor platform and show the experiment results.

Automatic Translation of Computer Algebra Systems' Worksheets 计算机代数系统工作表的自动翻译

There can be varying degrees of difference between the commands, syntax, etc., of computer algebra systems. Sometimes, translation from one computer algebra system to another is needed. As the languages of computer algebra systems are similar to programming languages, the translation techniques used in case of programming language seem to be productive. This paper focuses on syntax-directed translation where grammars have a central role. The area of commands is restricted to the commands useful for school mathematics. A prototype is developed for translating the worksheets of Maple, Maxima and WIRIS.

Implementation and Deployment of Geographical Information System Services in the Municipality of Santander 桑坦德市地理信息系统服务的实施和部署

This paper reports an on-going research project focused on the implementation and deployment of geographical information system services. The project is carried out in the Municipality of Santander with the goal to promote new technologies and bring geo-referenced data and information about the city to its citizens through the city council corporate website. The paper describes briefly the main steps of our methodology, the objectives to be attained and the tools used in the process. The system is currently available on the web and represents a major step in the use of cartographic technology by the general public.

We present two works on the "Virtual City" held at Palermo. They are about the three-dimensional reconfiguration of urban places that show evidence of "invisible" architecture, this is because in one case there were ancient monuments now destroyed, or in another case projects designed for the urban void and never made.
