Wacana skematik ayat dialog dalam surah Yusuf 优素福经》对话经文示意图

The study aims to identify the superstructure (schematic) of the dialogue in surah Yusuf. To identify the schematic in the story, discourse analysis is used as a tool to analyse it. The analysis process was based on inductive theory combining qualitative and quantitative approaches. The qualitative approach was used to identify the schematic in the dialogue. The identified schematic elements served as a reference for the quantitative approach. The quantitative approach was utilised to calculate the percentage of the type and quantity of dialogues. The results demonstrate that two-way discussion predominates the narrative of the Prophet Joseph in 26 of the surah’s dialogues. The dialogues which feature only human interaction consist of a three-part structure; the beginning, development and resolution.

Syeikh Abū Madyan al-Maghribī merupakan seorang tokoh sufi tersohor pada kurun ke-6 H. Beliau dijuluki sebagai Ra’s al-Sūfiyyah fī Waqtih (rujukan ahli tasawuf pada masanya) dan rujukan bagi kawasan sebelah Barat Islam (Shaykh Ahl al-Maghrib). Hasil karya tulis beliau yang paling popular ialah al-Ḥikam al-Ghawthiyyah yang telah disyarah oleh ulama lain bagi memudahkan pembaca menyelami untaian maknanya. Antara kitab syarah yang dimaksud ialah Sharḥ al-Ḥikam al-Ghawthiyyah karya Shihāb al-Dīn Aḥmad ibn Ibrāhīm al-Makkī yang dikenali sebagai Ibn ‘Ilan al-Ṣiddīq al-Shāfi‘ī al Naqshabandī (975-1033 H.). Da‘wa through social media is considered one of the alternatives for reaching and guiding society on the teachings of Islam. Female preachers are actively engaging in utilizing this medium for da‘wa, particularly through Instagram. However, the primary challenge in da‘wa on Instagram lies in achieving a high reach for posts. One strategy to engage readers in news reporting is by employing the criteria of newsworthiness within posts. This research endeavors to investigate Instagram reels created by female celebrity preachers, evaluating their alignment with newsworthiness criteria based on views and likes. The study adopts a qualitative approach, conducting content analysis on 25 reels produced by five selected female celebrity preachers over a six-month period. This analysis is guided by the Discursive News Value Analysis theory proposed by Bednarek & Caple. Findings indicate that human interest emerges as the primary criterion, constituting 26% of the total reels examined. Following this, impact criteria account for 23%, with proximity criteria representing 20%. Timeliness criteria are observed at 16%, while conflict criteria rank the lowest at 15%. The study concludes by discussing recommendations for preachers, particularly on Instagram, aiming to enhance their effectiveness in reaching and engaging the target audience.

Pendekatan Kinayah dalam Komunikasi Rasulullah SAW 先知穆罕默德传播中的基纳耶方法

al-Kināyah is a form of metaphorical language. Through it, the speaker can effectively communicate his or her meaning to ensure the listener's understanding of the intended idea. The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) used this approach to convey an idea. This study aims to examine the contexts in which al-Kināyah was used by the Prophet (PBUH) with the application of Hymes’s SPEAKING model. The data come from four selected hadiths from the books of the Arabic amthāl collection. Findings demonstrate that the Prophet (PBUH) employed al-Kināyah in various contexts for a variety of reasons. He was found to use it in the context of giving orders to a cameleer, imparting religious teachings to his companions, and making bequests in the presence of community elders. These special expressions help to express a broader meaning and prevent the speaker from making use of otherwise unpleasant expressions. The implications of this study underscore the importance of mastering the elements of implicit language in understanding the true meaning of his words for those who venture into the study of the hadiths of the Prophet (PBUH).

This research explores Islamic themes in early and contemporary Islamic literature, with a focus on the works of poet Yūsuf al-‘Aẓm. It examines his anthologies Anāshid wa Aghārid li al-Jayl al-Muslim, ‘Arā’is al-Ḍiyā’, Fī Riḥāb al-Aqṣā, and Qanādil fī ‘Itmat al-Ḍuḥā, alongside ten specific texts: al-Wuḍū‘, al-Zakāt, Ummī?, Allāhu Rabbī, al-Ka‘bah, Nashīd li al-Mujāhidīn fī Afghānistān, Anā li al-Quds, Hamāt al-Aqṣā, Yā Quds, and Huwiyyatu al-Aqṣā li man Aḍā‘a Huwiyyatuhu. Using an analytical descriptive methodology, the study delves into al-‘Aẓm's treatment of Islamic content, extending beyond ritualistic themes (‘ibādah) to encompass doctrinal aspects (‘aqīdah) and broader Islamic community issues, including the Palestinian cause. The study underscores al-‘Aẓm's commitment to Islamic perspectives in his literary creations, highlighting his diverse thematic engagements within Islamic literature.

Martabat Pendekatan Tafsir Mawḍū‘ī dalam Penulisan Tafsir di Era Globalisasi 全球化时代塔夫西尔写作中马乌杜伊塔夫西尔方法的尊严

Al-Tafsīr al-mawḍū‘ī also referred to as thematic tafsīr was introduced by tafsīr experts in the early 1970s. Following that, this interpretation method evolved through many ways pioneered by al-mawḍū‘ī interpretation luminaries such as al-Farmāwī, al-Kūmmī, ‘Abd al-Sattār, Muṣṭafā Muslim, al-Khālidī, Ziauddin Sardar, and others. Although the technique given by these tafsīr figures intends to generate systematic al-mawḍū‘ī tafsīr literature, these approaches can also be applied to address difficulties in the globalization period. Therefore, this study took the initiative to describe the al-mawḍū‘ī interpretation approach of tafsīr scholars and further discuss these approaches in facing the era of globalization. This study collects data from document sources and analyzes them using the content analysis method. According to the findings of the study, al-mawḍū‘ī tafsīr experts apply basic procedures in al-mawḍū‘ī tafsīr by establishing themes, collecting verses, determining the relationship between verses and themes, and summarizing verses and themes. Meanwhile, the al-mawḍū‘ī interpretation approach can be enabled to address social challenges involving issues of faith, social development, and environmental sustainability in the age of globalization. This study has a great impact on the implementation of establishing a more sustainable community and strengthening civil society’s ambitions.

This article aims to identify the basic geometric structures found in the illumination of the Terengganu Quran Manuscript (L.M.N.T 2002.1) collection. The study focuses on the appreciation of art, employing a formalistic approach to visually examine the evident basic geometric structures present in the illumination of the Quran Manuscript (L.M.N.T 2002.1). The research methodology involved observing the illumination of the Quran Manuscript (L.M.N.T 2002.1) and analysing the basic geometric structures based on formalistic aspects such as elements of art and principles of design through formalistic visual analysis using Adobe Illustrator software. In general, the illumination image displays the shape of a rosette or medallion. This character is also viewed from the perspective of cosmology, whereby it is a resemblance of a glowing star and the shining sun. This is appropriate with the concept of lighting or Shamsa. The findings of this research indicated some views on basic geometry in the illumination of the Quran Manuscript (L.M.N.T 2002.1) as an introduction to new knowledge in the field of art in general.

Thematic exegesis is an interpretive approach to interpreting the Quran thematically by collecting relevant Quranic verses related to the studied theme. This interpretive approach has gained recognition among Quranic scholars due to its methodological dimensions and unique advantages in delving into the contents of the Quran. Moreover, thematic exegesis represents a contemporary interpretative method that can elevate the Quran as a reference for today's modern society. However, extensive research is lacking in compiling and providing a literature review regarding thematic exegesis studies. This article aims to highlight and present a literature review of past studies related to thematic exegesis in Malaysia. The article's sources were obtained from the WoS, Scopus, and Google Scholar databases covering 2019 to 2023. The gathered data was filtered based on publication year, material type (articles), and specific studies within Malaysia. The study's findings highlighted four themes of thematic exegesis research in Malaysia: the definition of thematic exegesis, its history and development, types and methods, and the implementation of these methods in Quranic studies.

Knowing the method of a particular scholar in any book is important to understand his approach to dealing with any issue and to make his way to becoming the subject of attention and emulation by later researchers. This research discovers the methodology of Sayyid Quṭb, the dynamic preacher and leading exegete, regarding his dealing with the verses related to prophetic history through Fī Ẓilāl al-Qur’ān. This research deals with three aspects: interpreting the verses related to prophetic history, presenting the events, and extracting the highlights and lessons from the events. The researchers employed the descriptive method to explain the definition of Prophetic history and Sayyid Quṭb’s biography and the analytical method to extract Sayyid Quṭb’s methodology in his exegesis in dealing with verses related to Prophetic history. The study primarily showed that Sayyid Quṭb combined exegesis based on traditions (al-tafsīr bi al-ma’thūr) and opinions (al-tafsīr bi al-ra’y) in explaining the verses related to prophetic history. Sayyid Quṭb has two ways of presenting the events: detailed and overall views. Sayyid Quṭb’s presentation has three objectives: referring to the events as the reasons for the revelation of the verses, inferring events in the interpretation of the verses, and depicting the atmosphere in which the verses were revealed and reviving them. The most important Sayyid Quṭb’s trends in extracting highlights and lessons are employing Prophetic history for his dynamic methodology, clarifying the lessons in the Islamic faith, addressing facts and perceptions about Islam, and contextualizing Prophetic history’s highlights and lessons into current situations.

The Relevance of al-Kay’s Treatment According to the Perspective of Prophetic Hadith 从先知圣训的角度看凯伊治疗的相关性

This article aims to analyze the healing method with al-kay, which refers to the hadith perspective in two different contexts: prohibition and conditional permission. By applying a qualitative research method, this article finds that one popular al-kay product today is laser-based circumcision. This circumcision is one of the modern ways in which the skin of the foreskin is cut using a unique cutting tool, i.e., a cautery or diathermy, which replaces knives and scissors to cut the skin. The device’s tip is heated up to 1000 degrees Celsius with electrical power, and cuts are made by burning the skin while closing the blood vessels. While from the point of view of Muslim scholars, the treatment of al-kay is a must if in an emergency, and there is no other option provided a specialist doctor recommends it. The status of this law changes to ḥarām (prohibited) when the patient is convinced that with the hot iron, there is a healing sacred as the sacredness of spells (superstition). This is what the Prophet (PBUH) meant that did not like it and called it contrary to tawakkul (trust in God).
