In Software Engineering there are several methods, methodologies, standards or frameworks, which allow the development of better quality software or with less expenditure of resources. However, the context of each organization must be taken into account in order to make the correct choice of any of them. In the case of very small entities (less than 25 people), they also face other problems, such as the limited amount of resources available. In public sector organizations that are in charge of software development or operation and services the same problems are identified. In addition, there are a number of laws or regulations that they must comply with, such as MAAGTICSI. Therefore, this article shows the proposal of a framework for software development based on the ISO/IEC 29110 standard for public sector organizations that aims to help improve their processes for software management and development. In order to establish this proposal, the main standards and methodologies that are applied in public organizations in Mexico were identified, as well as, some related works that show how some standards and methodologies are implemented in small organizations.

In recent years, blockchain technology has achieved remarkable application in multiple industries due to its inherent characteristics such as transparency, traceability, interoperability, integrity, and immutability, among others. This work presents a methodological framework for the integration of blockchain technology in the coffee industry. For this, several necessary steps are proposed to achieve the integration of this technology in this industry, from the analysis related to production aspects, definition of an architecture for the development of the solution and the development of the solution based on blockchain technology. This approach suggests that the characteristics of blockchain technology can be used to establish a solution that allows transparency and traceability in the production process carried out by the coffee industry.

Nowadays, the development and use of internet of things devices is constantly growing. In addition, the implementation of 5G networks as well as WIFI 6, helps its growth and use by organizations and individuals seeking to acquire these types of devices. This leads to the growth of cyber-attackers who are only interested in exposing or compromising an organization's assets through these devices. Therefore, this article presents the basis for proposing the development of an intelligent agent that is capable of responding to any computer attack on Internet devices used by organizations and/or individuals. The development of this agent will be based on security aspects that are indicated in ISO/IEC 27001 and the COBIT 5 for Information Security and Risk framework for threat management and mitigation. In addition, this agent will allow the management and mitigation of threats, facilitating the decision making and/or creation or improvement of the controls used in the organization before any security incident.

The ISO/IEC 29110 standard series are oriented to help very small entities (VSEs) to improve their software development processes. This standard is currently growing in Latin America and in Mexico where there are 53 VSEs certified in it. However, its incorporation in the VSEs could be a complicated without an adequate training, which becomes a challenge. In this context, new approaches have emerged such as gamification and serious games, which help to understand, teach and support the learning/teaching process, and can be applied to different domains. This article presents a proposal of a framework for the development of strategies applying gamification elements that supports the training in the ISO/IEC 29110 standard.

Blockchain (BC) technology is a big bet for the new technological era, however, there is a big challenge in introducing this technology and the benefits it offers in different areas. This article develops and applies a framework for the application of BC technology in the field of higher education. The frame comprises a robust architecture that can be used for different decentralized applications (Dapps). The framework is validated in the case of academic certification, which includes beneficiaries, advantages offered by technology, disadvantages and risks. The framework provides valuable help in understanding in a timely and coherent manner the functioning of BC technology and its contribution to higher education. In addition, it serves to create a standard of how Dapps work in this area.

The increasingly amount of information coming from internal and external sources has complicated the decision-making process, and therefore, the performance management of an organization. Business Intelligence (BI) has proved to be an effective way to solve these issues by providing a faster and more accurate access to information by using dashboards. However, while many studies focus on the benefits of using BI on financial performance, very few studies have evaluated the linkage between BI and non-financial performance, even more; there is little evidence on the measurement of this kind of information. This paper presents the results of a systematic literature review to establish the state-of-the-art of business intelligence for corporate performance management (CPM). The findings also encourage the creation of a BI implementation model that integrates a solution for the deficiencies found during the research.

Nowadays, very small entities are very important in the software product and service development sector. Therefore, it is necessary to implement models and / or standards that allow obtaining a certification in this type of company. For this, a standard has been created, such as the ISO/IEC 29110 standard. However, as in medium-sized or large companies, very small entities face problems such as lack of knowledge, trained personnel and experience in the implementation of this type of norms. Therefore, this article proposes the GPIS tool that allows evaluating the processes based on the ISO / IEC 29110 standard and the project to be presented for a future certification. To validate the GPIS tool, it was implemented in an Academic Software Development Center (CDS) prior to starting a certification process in the ISO/IEC 29110 standard. After the implementation of GPIS the certification of the standard ISO / IEC 29110 was obtained.

Combine face-to-face classes with a gamified e-Learning platform, is a proposal in higher education that increases the commitment and motivation in the development of autonomous tasks. The present research shows the results of the application in the subject Programming I (P-I) of the Faculty of Engineering, Physical Sciences and Mathematics (FEPSM) of the Central University of Ecuador (CUE). For this, an explanatory study, with a quasi-experimental design with groups: experimental (gamified methodology) and control (traditional methodology), is carried out. These results are discussed in seven semesters, during the years 2015 and 2019. In addition, surveys are applied to students who completed the gamification course to evaluate the gamification strategies applied. To determine if the proposal allows improving the academic performance of the students, differences between groups were evaluated using the t-Student test in the case of normality and the non-parametric U-Mann-Whitney test in the case of non-normality. The nine experimental groups who used the gamified methodology are compared using the Kruskal-Wallis test and the medium for k samples. It is concluded that the implementation of gamification strategies on a virtual learning platform not only influenced students' motivation in the development of autonomous tasks but also allowed better academic performance.
