Today there is almost no area of human life that is not traversed by the progress recorded in the branch of software. Argentina has shown outstanding performance in the production and sale of software nationally and internationally. However, this performance has been shown to be very asymmetrical on a territorial scale, with most of the activities concentrated in central cities such as Buenos Aires and Cordoba. The present paper triesto analyze the performance of the software sector in the city of Bahia Blanca. Its main characteristics are delineated by descriptive statistics.

In the document two models are estimated, one for the tradable goods sector and another for the non-tradable. The effect of export activity on industrial activity and labor informality is analyzed as proxy variables of both sectors, respectively. The results of the self-regressive model of distributed lags indicate that exports are positively related to industrial activity and negatively to labor informality rates, maintaining a cointegration relationship and identifying temporary shocks in the short term. An increase in exports is essential to reduce the labor informality rate.

A methodology for the classification and characterization of residential energy userprofiles is developed, in order to address specific measures of energy efficiency andrenewable energies that allow optimizing the use of resources. A database of 395surveys collected in La Plata (Buenos Aires-Argentina) is used as a case study, onwhich the primary energy consumption is calculated for each user and, then, theyare classified into consumption profiles. En Argentina, la instalación de grandes parques solares y eólicos ha incrementado la participación de la energía renovable en la matriz energética, contribuyendo a las metas de diversificación y desfosilización nacional, aunque sin alterar las estructuras dominantes del sistema tradicional. Este trabajo sostiene que es posible pensar la penetración de estas energías como disparadores de nuevas experiencias público-ciudadanas basadas en la gestión local. A partir del análisis de tres elementos clave: empresas públicas, cooperativas y ciudadanos, el trabajo explora la potencialidad de la generación distribuida para traccionar una verdadera transición energética, hacia un modelo más descentralizado, desconcentrado y democrático.

The aim of this paper is to calculate the Knowledge Intensity Index (KI) of the municipalities of Hidalgo based on the productive structure of all economic sectors. For this purpose, an analysis can be carried out using the Reflections Method and a compilation data from public sources. The results show that the state of Hidalgo has different levels of diversity and ubiquity, thus; the geography of municipal knowledge intensity should be linked with social inequality in order to generate differentiated public policies.

The theory of territorial economic assimilation was first introduced in Mexico in the late eighty; since then, few methodological innovations have been proposed. Based on this theory, this paper analyses mining as the prevailing economic activity in the Mexican state of Zacatecas. To do so, it was necessary to modify the selected variables, elaborate new indicators and adjust the criteria in the formation of the necessary typological clouds for cartographic representation.

After reviewing different theories analyzing the fragmentation of rural spaces, this article proposes the use of the concept of ‘deterritorialization’ to explain the rural world in the present century. Based on a case study in an Andean peasant zone of Ecuador, the measurement of deterritorialization is considered to give an account of the degree of progress of this process, as well as of the different actors’ positions in relation to it. Finally, the possibilities of generating endogenous collective action initiatives useful for the recovery of the control of a productive chain by local actors are intended to be discussed.
