Given the importance of strengthening reflections on Conservation Units (UC's) in the Amazon, the present study proposes a discussion on the Parks of the state of Amazonas, as well as a brief reflection related to the Anavilhanas National Park. In the first moment, the number of parks and their spheres of national, state and municipal management is presented. Then, the considerations are turned to the Anavilhanas National Park and its peculiarities. The methodology used consists of a bibliographic review around this theme, as well as the use of information from the Institutions that work directly in the area. As a result, the natural supply of parks represents a potential ally in terms of preserving resources and developing sustainable ecotourism activities. Anavilhanas Park is a national conservation unit, known worldwide, which presents the necessary attractions for sustainable ecotourism, since, since its recognition, as a protected area, it has been generating positive results for this follow-up.

The Tapajós National Forest (FLONA) is a Conservation Unit (UC) located in the Brazilian Amazon state of Pará. The Flona Tapajos, managed by the Instituto Chico Mendez (ICMBio) has extensive public use (recreation and tourism). In order to identify the negative and positive aspects observed during recreation/tourism visits to the FLONA, an in-person visitor use survey was conducted at the FLONA. As part of a larger study, the objective of this manuscript was to identify the positives and negatives of the visitation pointed out by the visitors of the Tapajós National Forest in the period from 2014 to 2016. A total of 14,291 comments were analyzed, of which 9,004 were positive comments and 5,287 were negative comments. Thematic analysis and a qualitative method was used, and the comments were placed into three categories and 22 subcategorys, according to keywords. The results identify the items that may cause either satisfaction or dissatisfaction by the public. The findings help resource managers better understand the Conservation Unit and the data can support better public use programs and visitation

Extension actions and projects can help maintain the relationship between the university and society, in order to meet the needs of the external community, maintaining connections with social demands, public policies and diverse social movements in order to reduce inequalities and promote social inclusion. The project UFS de Braços Abertos, which is linked to the course in Tourism, is one such project. It offers guided tours for visiting elementary and high school students to the university campus, in order to present the university, its courses, the services offered, and the research and extension projects developed, creating a closer relationship between higher education and basic education. Based on this premise, this work analyzes the relationship between tourism, university extension and basic education, through the guided tours conducted as part of the UFS de Braços Abertos project, focusing on specifically on the participation of the Executive Secretarial course. In terms of approach to the problem, this study used qualitative research. The methodological procedures adopted were bibliographic research, and interviews with the head of the Executive Secretarial department and students of the course. We also sought to identify the perceptions of lecturers of the Executive Secretarial course in relation to the importance of the project, and the visits by school students to the University. The project helps to demystify the widely held perception, among students in basic education, that attending a federal university is a distant reality. The school students often arrive with this view, but after the visit, they are able to understand more how this universe works, and can dream of applying for place at university when they leave school. The report of experience presented clearly shows the important role of the UFS de Braços Abertos project, not only for the school students who may enter the university in the future, but also for students of the Tourism and Executive Secretarial courses, as it gives them an opportunity to promote and publicize the courses, stimulating the curiosity of the visiting students and showing them more about the respective professions, which can help them make future career choices.

This research focuses on accessibility for Third Age guests in the coastal hotels of Jo..o Pessoa, through the Institutional Program of Scientific Initiation Scholarships, together with the Pro-rectorate of research of Universidade Federal da Para..ba (Propesq/UFPB). Its object of study is hotels located in the city of Jo..o Pessoa, in the Brazilian state of Para..ba. The general objective of the study was to investigate whether the conditions of accessibility at these accommodation establishments meet the needs of the Third Age public, a growing sector of potential guests that has more free time and disposable income than ever before, and is seeking travel, knowledge and new experiences. However, the tourism trade, especially the hotel sector, must be prepared to offer good quality service, exceeding expectations and meeting the needs of this tourist sector, as it is a public that often requires greater attention and care due to issues of decreased mobility. This research was conducted using the descriptive method, with quantitative/qualitative analysis. Field research was carried out, firstly, through in loco observation and then through the application of a checklist, which was sent to the email due to Covid-19 restrictions, to sixteen coastal hotels in the municipality, based on bibliographic and documentary research. The results show that accessibility needs to be improved for this public, as some sectors do not offer accessibility to areas such as the reception, restaurant and swimming pool, preventing these guests from making full use of the services offered and even, in some cases, creating unsafe conditions. This study is important for the academic community, the tourism industry, and society as a whole, as its results will enable hotel managers to identify weaknesses and improve their establishments, as well as training their employees to serve this public and building customer loyalty through excellence in the provision of services.

The company Ilha do Sol Agencia de Viagens Ltda. operates in the Iguaçu National Park in Foz do Iguaçu / PR for about 30 years offering boat trips that cover the rapids of the Iguaçu. This company had until 2010 a contract with IBAMA, which managed the Conservation Unit. As of 2010, through a new contract, the Chico Mendes Institute for Biodiversity Conservation ICMBio starts to manage the National Parks, so the need specified in Public Tender arises that the company will have a Environmental Management certified EMS.Thus, the Macuco Safari tour became NBR ISO 14001 certified in 2016, and like any organization certified by the standard, there are benefits and difficulties in maintaining the system.Intrinsic to the certification is the need for SAG improvements, in this sense, this experience reports the work developed with the objective of identifying improvements in the project's Environmental Management System, aiming at fulfilling the requirements of NBR ISO: 14001: 2015, For this purpose , Participant, Bibliographic and Documentary research was carried out based on the needs presented by the management team of the existing system in the company. At the end, lowinvestment, practical actions that have the potential to improve the EMS were identified, as well as giving visibility to the company, such as: holding meetings and training, exchanging unsustainable products for sustainable products, promoting environmental campaigns and publicizing company's EMS.

Urban destinations concentrate on the largest amount of entertainment for LGBT Tourism (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender). Amsterdam (Netherlands) has several images and stereotypes that project it as a recognized gay-friendly tourist destination, motivated by the attributes associated with freedom, nightlife, parties, and the traditional LGBT Pride Parade in boats (Canal Parade). This study presents the historical evolution of Reguliersdwarsstraat, known as Amsterdam's gay street from the perspective of LGBT tourist territory, with analyses for the model proposed by Butler (1980), Life Cycle of the Tourist Area. The netnographic study describes the path that culminates in a successful case, starting in the 1960s, declining in 2010, and rejuvenating soon thereafter. The considerations point out that the existence of LGBT territories, such as Reguliersdwarsstraat, broadens the diversity of attractions for the tourist, a factor that contributes to the development of this niche.

The concept and practice of the geo-tourist itineraries were developed through research and intervention projects that aimed at the expansion of socio-spatial elements contained in the urban tours and the stimulus to the most authentic meeting between visitors and the visited place. The main objective of this paper is to systematize and propose the methodological aspects of geo-tourist itinerary planning to assist local-based tourism projects. Experiences of this type of itinerary demonstrate the potential of contributing to this kind of tourist route to local development. Then, the aspects presented were systematized from the report of the execution of a project in the Marajó Archipelago.
