The difficulty of peace-building and development remains a burning issue in the African continent. There have been several attempts to bring about peace in the continent that did not produce the expected results. Enormous resources have been used to facilitate/promote peace accords, which frequently collapsed under the weight of conflicting interests. It is vital to investigate whether there are any more peace-building techniques that may be used to supplement current initiatives to promote peace in the continent. This paper explores indigenous African methods and contemporary measures for fostering social cohesion/inclusion and peace-building. The research employs the thematic interpretative and historical analysis in the data collection process. The study is anchored on conflict resolution theory. The paper starts by examining the justification for why establishing peace is critical. The next section of the paper examines how indigenous and contemporary methods are helping in the promotion of peace in Africa. It also looks at how these methods highlight the significance of encouraging social inclusion. Last but not the least, is the question of how to create Pan-African unity.

Neurocognitive disorders encompass a range of conditions characterized by cognitive impairments, presenting significant challenges to individuals, families, and healthcare systems worldwide. Traditional paper-and-pencil assessments have limitations, including restricted access, limited frequency, and subjective interpretation. This research proposal aims to address these limitations by developing a reliable digital platform, a neurocognitive screening bundle, for year-round monitoring of neurocognitive symptom domains. The proposed research project adopts an interdisciplinary approach by integrating knowledge and expertise from the fields of neurology, psychology, cognitive neuroscience, and computer science. Neurology provides clinical context and expertise in understanding neurocognitive symptom domains, ensuring that the chosen screening bundle aligns with clinical needs. Psychology contributes insights into human behavior and cognitive processes, aiding in the selection, adaptation, or development of assessments targeting specific neurocognitive functions. Additionally, psychologists contribute expertise in data analysis and interpretation, enabling the identification of meaningful patterns within the collected data. Cognitive neuroscience offers a deeper understanding of the underlying neural mechanisms associated with neurocognitive symptom domains. By identifying the neural networks, brain regions, and cognitive processes involved in specific cognitive functions, cognitive neuroscientists bridge the gap between cognitive assessment and neurobiological underpinnings, aiding in the selection and interpretation of neurocognitive measures. Computer science plays a pivotal role in developing and evaluating the digital platform for neurocognitive screening. Computer scientists leverage their expertise in software development, data analysis, and machine learning to design algorithms for data processing, ensure data security and privacy, and develop user-friendly interfaces for assessments. The Verbovisual Cognitive Function Screening Tool (VCFST) is a cognitive screening tool that aims to evaluate cognitive abilities by drawing upon established theories such as dual-coding theory, common coding theory, propositional theory, and ideomotor theory. However, recent developments in quantum cognitive science offer promising applications to enhance the assessment model. This article explores the utilization of quantum cognition concepts within the VCFST and discusses its implications for cognitive assessment. Quantum cognitive science is an emerging interdisciplinary field that applies principles from quantum physics to the study of human cognition. It suggests that cognitive processes may not adhere strictly to classical logic and linear thinking but can exhibit characteristics of quantum phenomena such as superposition, entanglement, and contextuality. By incorporating quantum concepts into cognitive assessment, a more nuanced understanding of complex cognitive processes can be achieved. The VCFST, with its focus on verbovisual factors and comprehensive assessment of cognitive domains, can benefit from the integration of quantum cognitive science principles. Superposition, borrowed from quantum physics, implies that individuals can simultaneously perceive and attend to multiple stimuli. By considering the superposition of verbovisual stimuli within the VCFST, a more accurate representation of cognitive abilities can be obtained, capturing the simultaneous processing of different types of information. Entanglement, another key principle of quantum cognition, can be applied to evaluate the interconnectedness of cognitive domains within the VCFST. Analogous to entangled particles, changes in one cognitive domain may influence others. By assessing the impact of changes in one domain on performance in other domains, the VCFST can provide a holistic understanding of cognitive functioning. Contextuality, a fundamental concept in quantum cognition, emphasizes the role of context in shaping cognitive processes. By incorporating contextuality into the VCFST, contextual cues can be introduced, and stimulus presentation can be varied to reflect real-world cognitive demands. This approach enables a more ecologically valid measure of cognitive abilities, considering the influence of context on cognitive processing. Embracing quantum cognitive science principles in the VCFST offers several advantages, including capturing the complexity of cognitive processes, accounting for non-linear dynamics, and exploring potential quantum-like effects within human cognition. Future research can further refine the VCFST by conducting quantitative studies to assess the efficacy of incorporating quantum concepts into cognitive assessment and developing computational models inspired by quantum cognitive science. The utilization of quantum cognitive science concepts within the VCFST shows promise for advancing cognitive assessment practices. Globally, domestic violence is a significant problem and one of the most pervasive human rights challenges especially for the most part of African societies whose issues relating to partners violence is largely treated as hidden phenomenon. Domestic violence remains a hidden and persistent problem because of the power and control held by the abuser, the fear, intimidation and humiliation suffered by the victim of the crime. This study was carried out in secondary schools in Nigeria to investigate domestic violence on family relationships among couples in Ekiti state. Three research questions were raised to guide the study and three hypotheses were also formulated and tested at 0.05 level of significance. The study adopted the survey method of descriptive research design. Population is comprised of all JSS III students in social studies classes in Ekiti state. The sample of three [3] schools with one hundred and fifty (150) students were used. The schools were in three local government areas in Ekiti state. The students were taught domestic violence using demonstration method in one school and in another, using Discussion Method in another, using lecture method in the third school after which the students were served with the questionnaire designed by the researcher. Face and content validity of the instrumentation was done by the researcher together with colleagues in counseling psychology. Corrections were made. The reliability of the instrument was carried out on 30 students using the test retest method with a coefficient correlation of 0.81 obtained which implies the instrument was reliable for the study. To combat frequent domestic violence in families, the students in their formative years as recommended that peace and non-violent curriculum that will integrate the study of domestic violence, inter group conflict and development of critical thinking as well as problem solving be adopted in schools in Nigeria, since domestic violence has done more harm to couples and their relationships, this paper suggest peace curriculum in all schools for the sake of the children who will grow up to become responsible husband and wives in the future.

Parenting is a cardinal part of social orientation and it plays a very critical role in a child’s developments and the character and traits that he forms during this process. Parenting is a guiding compass to engineer what the child eventually turns out to be in society and how he contributes to the society that he is in. This study examines the socio-cultural effects of the lack of proper parenting, using the drama, No Pennies for Mama by Ahmed Yerima. Through the lens of this drama, we are able to see these socio-cultural effects on the victims of lack of proper parenting. This study uses the content analysis methods of gathering and analyzing data. It finds that the effect of poor patenting has a dastardly devastating impact on both the child, his or her family and the society These children who are victims of poor parenting grow up with values that are both culturally and socially anomalous causing pain to both themselves, their families and society. This study recommends that would-be parents should learn the art and science of parenting before embarking on its journey, learning what works and what does not work. Dramatists should write more drama that emphasize the detrimental effects of poor parenting and they should be performed to audiences in as many cities as possible, so that people can learn to take parenting as seriously as it should be taken.

Fast fashion has become an indispensable choice of the consumers, who are convinced by dominant undertakings to continuously purchase goods. To succeed, the vast majority of the businesses create an artificial demand in along with their green claims, deceiving the purchasers who might seek complacence for their unceasing habit of buying more. One should, in this context, consider not only threats to consumer protection, but also to the adverse influence against the achievement of a truly circular economy, stemming from the take-make-waste approach. In accordance with the need of addressing such an issue, this paper aims to both analyse and provide feasible solutions for such a matter from a variety of aspects including law, economics, international business, global studies, and psychology.

The present study tests two measures of lexical sophistication in writing proficiency (moving-average morphological richness and moving-average mean size of paradigm for testing the lexical diversity) and mean word length for testing writing form (plain, humble, honorification). The findings suggest that the three metrics work reliably. Regarding lexical diversity, moving-average of morphological richness (MAMR) and moving-average mean size of paradigm (MAMSP) of Indonesian Japanese learners-written texts are close to native Japanese-written data. Lexical complexity measured by word length by Indonesian Japanese learners is characterised by slightly less richness than native Japanese data but remains very close. Word length-frequency relationship in the Indonesian-written data presents outstanding fitting results to nine models, including the Poisson Model families and Binomial Model families, with 0.9918 as the lowest and 0.9987 as the highest determination coefficient R2. It is hoped that this study’s outcome may help develop an automatic evaluation of the writing proficiency of agglutinative languages with diverse writing forms.
