The politicization of the disease led to misinformation and the use of unproven treatments, such as the “COVID Kit”. The National Health Surveillance Agency (ANVISA) took important measures, including management and planning, health risk control, regulation, monitoring of suspected and confirmed cases, as well as information, communication and health education. Therefore, the general objective of this research is to demonstrate how the National Health Surveillance Agency (ANVISA) acted in the face of self-medication in the context of COVID-19. To this end, a literature review was carried out over the last five years on self-medication, pandemics, health surveillance, using databases such as PubMed, Google Scholar, Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO), Manuals from the Ministry of Health and the World Health Organization Inclusion criteria were adopted, such as articles published in Portuguese or English, primary studies and literature reviews, while studies that did not meet the general objective of the work and publications prior to 2019 were excluded. Regarding the results, ANVISA played an important role in the control and regulation of medicines during the pandemic, classifying chloroquine as a special control medicine and carrying out more than 30 thousand inspections to ensure compliance with clinical protocols to combat the disease. Finally, the pandemic brought challenges for health surveillance professionals, in order to contain the spread of the coronavirus, especially regarding the inappropriate use of medicines and other products subject to health assessment.

The new institutional Sociology declares that organizations, whether public or private, are influenced by norms, customs and beliefs institutionalized in their structure. Therefore, it is possible to infer that these factors can also influence organizations' actions regarding the environment and sustainability. Based on this understanding, we sought to investigate the role of the new institutional Sociology in the implementation of the environmental agenda. Given the purpose of this work, it is possible to classify it as bibliographic and exploratory in nature. Scientific articles, books, reports and other secondary data of national and international origin were used as theoretical support for the research. In the context of the environmental agenda, institutions can materialize in the form of laws, regulations, public policies, positioning of the professional class, behavior of successful organizations, consumer preferences and many other factors. It was noticed that institutions pressure organizations to develop sustainable practices and these, in turn, enable environmental conservation without necessarily impeding economic development. It was also possible to identify that the pressures felt by organizations to adopt similar environmental practices are explained through the phenomenon understood as institutional isomorphism. This occurs in three ways: coercive; mimetic and normative. Furthermore, this study allowed us to understand the levels of implementation of an environmental agenda. However, it was observed that agendas can be implemented at global, national and local levels. And, the adoption of environmentally sustainable practices in organizations is motivated, above all, by the need to legitimize organizations.

The Coase Theorem emphasizes negotiation and voluntary interactions between the involved parties (government and society) in the face of externalities. It suggests that, under certain conditions, parties can reach an agreement leading to an efficient allocation of resources, regardless of who holds the property rights or, in this case, the responsibility. Thus, the main objective of this study is to investigate and present Coasean solutions as an effective response to addressing the issue of stray animals, promoting the health and well-being of these animals in an integrated manner with public health and the environment. To achieve this goal, this research adopted a qualitative, documentary, and bibliographic methodology, combined with the analysis of DataSus data along with a literature review on One Health, Coasean solutions, and approaches to the stray animal problems. The results demonstrated that the opportunities for Coasean responses are vast and promising. However, collaboration among the government, the population, businesses, and NGOs is the key to a sustainable resolution of the negative externalities generated by stray animals. By understanding One Health as an integrated approach, we can not only improve the quality of life for these animals but also promote public health, mitigate environmental impacts, and build a more aware and compassionate society.

Child and adolescent sexual abuse is a reality that affects countless children and adolescents, harming and violating the physical, emotional and psychological integrity of the victims. There are numerous factors that cause vulnerability in this public, one of them being the technological means, due to the influences that the media causes, the exposure of children and adolescents and the facilitation of communication between aggressors and victims. To analyze the relationship between the use of technologies and child and adolescent sexual abuse, exploring how these technological tools have been used to facilitate the sexual abuse of children and adolescents. This is a systematic review of the literature. The search for articles was carried out from the Virtual Health Library (VHL); Lilacs; Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO); National Library of Medicine (PubMed). The descriptors used to search for the articles were: Child and adolescent sexual abuse, technologies and pedophilia. The Boolean operator AND was used to cross-reference the terms. Regarding the inclusion criteria used: complete articles, available and indexed in the aforementioned databases, free of charge, in the Portuguese language, published in the last five years between 2019 and 2023 related to the theme. Monographs, book chapters, paid articles, duplicate studies, in another language, and published before 2019 were excluded as exclusion criteria. Modern technologies, such as the internet and social networks, are means that facilitate the increase in cases of child and adolescent sexual abuse.

Potentially malignant lesions can be defined as areas whose tissue is morphologically altered and where cancer, in that location, is more likely to occur. These lesions can be triggered by environmental and behavioral factors, and, in this sense, this study seeks a relationship between electronic cigarettes and potentially malignant oral lesions. The objective of this work is to present a relationship between electronic cigarettes and potentially malignant oral lesions. The search for scientific articles to compose the research sample took place in June and July 2023, using the Medline and Web of Science databases, with an advanced search feature, using the following descriptors: "Oral neoplasm"; "Oral cancer" and "Electronic cigarette". It was found that all articles analyzed in this study showed some relationship between electronic cigarettes and potentially malignant lesions in the oral cavity. It is possible to identify relationships between electronic cigarettes and potentially malignant lesions in the oral cavity. However, studies are still scarce. In this sense, there is an indisputable need for more studies that seek to delve deeper into this topic, as it is extremely relevant to health. Although the evidence is still developing and there are significant gaps in research, the studies analyzed in this review indicate that electronic cigarettes may pose a risk for the development of potentially malignant lesions in the oral cavity. Importantly, more research is needed to fully understand the relationship between e-cigarette use and potentially malignant lesions in the oral cavity.

This work, which is the result of the curricular unit: Management processe concerns the basic internship, which took place in a solid waste cooperative. This report presents the theoretical background, which is essential to guide the practice, the methodology, the results of the intervention carried out and the final considerations. Based on on-site visits, permeated by observation and interviews with the leader of the square and the cooperative members, an institutional diagnosis was made and, based on this, a demand survey was carried out. Interpersonal relationships with a view to the well-being of workers and the growth of the organization, and the underlying interference of emotions, stood out as the main demand for intervention at the time. This experience provided contact with the field of Organizational and Work Psychology, reflecting the possibilities for professional work in this area.

The field of accounting is no exception to the rule in terms of female evolution and with regard to its historical characteristics: the insertion of women in the labor market. It is worth noting, however, that gender inequality still exists, as women, in addition to receiving lower wages than men, still have their capacity tested within organizations, either due to the risk of pregnancy and/or a greater sense of responsibility within the home. The present study aims to identify the challenges faced in the accounting area by women in the city of Sousa-PB. To this end, a questionnaire was made on Google Forms and made available to respondents through a link sent by email and WhatsApp to undergraduate students at the Federal University of Campina Grande, Campus Sousa, of the Accounting Sciences course, as well as for women accountants registered with the CRC, in that municipality. The main results of the research denote the entrepreneurial characteristics present in the welcomed public, which found that the majority of this public, in its entirety female, has a potential entrepreneurial profile, in addition to concluding that women have total prominence as an agent of transformation of society.

Endometriosis is a chronic gynecological disease that affects many women and presents symptoms such as dysmenorrhea, dyspareunia and infertility, which interfere with quality of life, damaging physical and mental health, as well as social and intimate relationships. Therefore, changing eating habits, with the adoption of diets rich in anti-inflammatory compounds and like the Mediterranean pattern, can interfere with the pathophysiological processes of the disease, such as inflammation, metabolism and hormone activity. Therefore, the main objective of this research is to investigate evidence on the anti-inflammatory effect of the Mediterranean diet as a therapeutic approach in the context of endometriosis. To this end, this study consists of a complete literature analysis related to the topic addressed, using the PubMed (US National Library of Medicine) databases. Applying the descriptors in Health Science (DeCs): Mediterranean diet, anti-inflammatory diet, endometriosis and nutrition. For the inclusion criteria, complete articles published in the last 5 years, written in Portuguese and English, were selected. Regarding the results, it was verified that the different nutrient modifiers present in the Mediterranean diet provide anti-inflammatory effects that reduce pain, control hormones and improve the quality of life of women diagnosed with endometriosis. However, given the results obtained, the Mediterranean diet presents promising results in combating pain and inflammatory processes, and can be used as a nutritional strategy for the treatment and prevention of endometriosis.

Therefore, the main objective of this research is to investigate evidence on the anti-inflammatory effect of the Mediterranean diet as a therapeutic approach in the context of endometriosis. To this end, this study consists of a complete literature analysis related to the topic addressed, using the PubMed (US National Library of Medicine) databases. Applying the descriptors in Health Science (DeCs): Mediterranean diet, anti-inflammatory diet, endometriosis and nutrition. For the inclusion criteria, complete articles published in the last 5 years, written in Portuguese and English, were selected. Regarding the results, it was verified that the different nutrient modifiers present in the Mediterranean diet provide anti-inflammatory effects that reduce pain, control hormones and improve the quality of life of women diagnosed with endometriosis. However, given the results obtained, the Mediterranean diet presents promising results in combating pain and inflammatory processes, and can be used as a nutritional strategy for the treatment and prevention of endometriosis.","PeriodicalId":447159,"journal":{"name":"REVISTA INTERDISCIPLINAR E DO MEIO AMBIENTE (RIMA)","volume":"33 8","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-04-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140743507","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The urban drainage system plays a vital role in the lives of people living in urban areas, protecting properties and citizens during heavy rainfall, preventing erosion on streets and public roads, and other benefits. To create an efficient drainage system, attention must be paid to the design, execution, and supervision of works by qualified professionals, as well as the maintenance of existing works. Because of the above, this article aims to analyze the micro-drainage infrastructure of Avenida Edélzio Vieira de Melo, in the city of Aracaju-SE. Initially, an in loco visit was made to assess the state of conservation and the presence of waste in the gutters and gutter inlet. It was observed that 51.2% of the gutter inlets are located in an undesirable way; 60.5% are partially or totally degraded and 81.4% have solid waste disposal. About the manholes, 90% are inadequately located, 80% are partially or totally degraded, and, finally, 70% are level with the sidewalk. The conclusion is that the devices need to be cleaned more frequently, and the population needs to be made more aware not to throw garbage in the street, since the presence of solid waste negatively affects the functioning of the drainage network. Finally, the location of the devices (manholes and gutter inlets) affects their efficiency, and durability and interferes with the comfort of those who use the road.
