Guided design has a significant impact on people's psychology and behavior in office space. Based on human behavior psychology and cognitive psychology, combined with the basic characteristics of office space, the application of guided design in office space is expounded in this paper. The summary of the application elements of the guided design is helpful to understand the guided design method and carry out the design practice. In practice, it is converted into the environment design language, so as to further understand the relationship between people and guided design in office space.

In the article, the historical construction of the ancient Toropets's Torg (marketplace) is analyzed, the fact of preservation of the pre-regular basis of the configuration of the square and its morphology that added to the duration of the town's lifespan, is revealed. Compositional meaning of the Torg and its contemporary role in the city life are analyzed. Recommendations on reconstruction and improvement are given according to the aim of preservation of architectural and cultural image and role of the city which preserves its historical identity. In contemporary settings, while reconstructing and improving the city, it is crucial to perpetuate the historicarchitectural relevance of the Voskresenskaya (Bazarnaya) square's Torg. In the article, the values of significant characteristics of planning, species connections with different ensembles and parts of the city, historical surroundings as a basis for restoring the recoverable losses are revealed.

The article presents one of the amazing stories of the development of the architecture of weaving enterprises in Russia, in particular, the factories of the Fryanovo settlement of Bogorodsky Uyezd. Gradually, in a very short time, thanks to the sharpness of the mind and resourcefulness of manufacturers, industrialists and ordinary peasants, amazing works of silk-weaving masters are created, housing for employees, hospitals, schools and powerful factory buildings are built. At the beginning of the development of silk-weaving manufactories, production in Fryanovo looked like large wooden huts, sometimes two-storeyed. At the end of the XIX century, new buildings appear and a separate direction in urban planning and architecture is already being formed, which years later will be called "red brick style" and at the end of the XX century, enterprise complexes become monuments of the country's industrial heritage. Here, the history of the formation of the architecture of the enterprises of one village is indicative for many cities.

The article is centered at the important problem of the combination of traditional and innovative spatial compositions in Russian architecture under the reign of Tsar Peter the Great and their further development. The composition 'octagon-on-cube' appeared in the stone church architecture of Moscow at the end of the 17th century and was enrooted in the assortment of architectural forms. As early as in the beginning of the 18th century, it was connected with the traditional five-domed composition. As a result, a new version of the type 'octagon-on-cube' – five-headed 'octagon-on-cube' – was shaped. The new composition was kept for a long period of time – in the 18th and in the 19th centuries as well – becoming an integral part of various stylistic changes. This phenomenon demonstrates the exceptional importance of preserving the local tradition in the Russian sacred architecture of the 18th and 19th centuries.

Urban public landscape design is an important part of environment design, and it is the carrier of current urban form. At present, with the diversified development of society, more and more landscape designers blindly pursue "modern" style, losing the characteristics of traditional context and lacking deep-seated cultural emotion expressions. Taking the urban public landscape as a carrier, through sorting out the Jing-Chu context and systematically analyzing the localization design of urban landscape, the purpose of this research is to build and perfect the missing regional cultural texture, which has certain theoretical value for the research of Jing-Chu cultural theory system and the construction of urban public landscape with regional characteristics.

With the continuous development of China's current social economy, people's living quality has also been improved. Therefore, in the process of current architectural design, relevant designers begin to apply the concept of sustainability to architectural design in order to optimize people's living environment on the whole. The concept of sustainability is different from the traditional architectural design concept. It emphasizes not only the appearance and style of buildings, but also the design idea and the application of green technology, which is the only way for the development of the construction industry in the current era.

The article examines the architectural design of multi-family residential buildings and complexes in Krasnoyarsk, which plays an important role in creating a comfortable city environment. A comprehensive analysis of the exterior of apartment buildings has been carried out in this work. The analysis is based on the study of historical and architectural materials, observation and field examination, photographic recording and comparison. Three periods have been identified: pre-industrial (first half of the 20th century), industrial (second half of the 20th century), post-industrial (early 21st century). The formation of the architectural and artistic appearance of apartment buildings of each period is characterized by fundamental differences. A systematic analysis of nine modern residential multi-apartment complexes was carried out in accordance with the selected parameters. Theoretical generalization and practical work carried out within this research will contribute to further improving the architectural design of multi-family residential buildings and complexes.

The concept of urban fringe belts was formulated in studies of the cities structure development in the first third of the 20th century. According to this concept, the peripheral territories of the past periods of the city's development preserve their former spatial and functional characteristics in modern city structure. The fringe belt features determine their preservation in the city structure for a long time during the historical city growth. In the study the process and conditions of the continuity of fragments of the Krasnoyarsk fringe belt of the late 19th mid-20th centuries are considered as well as its trace in the modern city plan using morphological analysis. This approach enables to establish the physical composition of the existing urban fabric, to suggest the prospects and potential of its development.

The spatial form and construction of the five basic types of Ukrainian wooden church's towered log roofing was analysed aiming to identify possible formal and constructive analogies with the roofing of other wooden religious buildings in the world. No complete constructive-spatial analogues of Ukrainian wooden church's log roofing were found in the world. Archaic types of Ukrainian wooden church's log roofing (raised longitudinal type, pyramidal type, so called octagon-on-cube type) can be observed in the sacral architecture of the territories neighbouring to Ukraine: Russia, the Caucasus and the Carpathians. It can be considered as a proof of a common source existing for wooden temple architecture formation in this region. Novel types of Ukrainian wooden church towered log roofing (so called zalom tiered type and its derivatives) have a pronounced compositional, but not constructive, correspondence with the tiered sacral towers of Asian countries. That may indicate the presence of ancient genetic links between the Ukrainian wooden church and eastern building traditions.
