Investigation of quasi-static crushing and energy absorption behaviors of carbon nanotube reinforced glass fiber/epoxy and carbon fiber/epoxy composite tubular structures 碳纳米管增强玻璃纤维/环氧树脂和碳纤维/环氧复合材料管状结构的准静态破碎和吸能行为研究

Bu çalışmada, karbon nano tüp (CNT) katkılı cam fiber/epoksi (GFRP) ve karbon fiber/epoksi (CFRP) kompozit borusal yapıların ezilme ve crushing and energy absorption behavior of carbon nanotube (CNT) reinforced glass fiber/epoxy (GFRP) and carbon fiber/epoxy (CFRP) composite tubular structures has been investigated. The study consists of two main parts. First part deals with the experimental studies. At this stage, functionalized multi-walled CNT added (at weight percentages of 0.1; 0.2; 0.3; 0.5; 1; 2%) and additive free GFRP composite plates were produced using hand lay-up method and tension, compression and shear tests were carried out to determine mechanical properties of the composite materials. As a result of these investigations, 0.5% CNT addition is determined to be most suitable rate for the composite in terms of tension, compression, and shear strength. The second part deals with the numerical studies. At this stage, quasi-static crushing and energy absorption characteristics of circular and square cross-section GFRP and CFRP tubes were investigated numerically using the determined mechanical properties in a commercial finite element based software (ABAQUS). The mechanical properties of CFRP tubes were taken from the existing literature. As a result of numerical studies, the specific energy absorption capacity of circular CFRP tubes was found to be most efficient compared to the other tubes.

Sludge oxidation with peroxydisulphate: Effects on disintegration, anaerobic degradability and filterability properties 过氧二硫酸盐氧化污泥:对分解、厌氧降解和过滤性能的影响

usability of peroxydisulphate (PDS) oxidation for biological sludge obtained in municipal wastewater treatment plant for sludge disintegration prior to stabilization by anaerobic method was investigated. In addition, PDS oxidation has been evaluated as a conditioning process in order to improve the filterability properties of sludges. In this study, PDS oxidation was applied to sludges taken from Denizli Wastewater Treatment Plant where municipal wastewater is treated. Process conditions (concentration and temperature) were optimized using response surface statistical analysis in terms of disintegration and conditioning. Disintegration Degree (DD) for disintegration process and reduction in Capillary Suction Time (CST) are considered as efficiency for conditioning process. After determining the optimum conditions for the disintegration method, biochemical methane potential (BMP) tests were conducted to determine the anaerobic degradability of the sludge. The highest degree of disintegration (DD) was obtained when 900 g/kg DS concentration and 100°C temperature was applied and DD value was determined as 51.5%. This application enabled an increase of 42.6% methane gas compared to raw sludge. As a result of the study, It has been determined that oxidation process with PDS causes more methane gas formation in the anaerobic digestion process by providing disintegration of sludge. The lowest KES value was obtained in 1100 g/kg KM and 20 °C application, and the decrease in KES value was calculated as 89% in this application. This result showed that PDS oxidation improved the dewatering property of the sludges.

Investigation of temperature effect on dynamic characteristic of polymer hybrid bearings in elastic area 弹性区温度对聚合物混合轴承动态特性影响的研究

Polimer hibrit rulmanlarda bilezikler viskoelastik malzemeden bilyalar ise farklı malzemeden üretildiklerinden temas mekaniği çelik rulmanlarda olduğu gibi elastik temas olan Hertz temas ile incelenememektedir. Hertz temas yerine elasto-plastik temas modelinde Hertz temasla aynı olarak değerlendirilen temas modeli kullanılarak incelenmelidir. Elasto-plastik temas iz (indentation) model ve düzleşme (flattening) modeli olarak iki modelden oluşmaktadır. Elasto-plastik modeller elastik, elasto-plastik ve tam plastik bölge olmak üzere üç temas bölgesine ayrılarak değerlendirilmektedir. balls and rings consist of different materials. Rings have been manufactured viskoelastic material. The traditional ball bearings ball-ring contact analyse with Hertzian contact theory but polymer hybrid ball bearings has not been analyse with the Hertzian contact theory. Polymer ring-ball contact has been analysed with elasto-plastic contact model instead of Hertzian contact theory. Elasto-plastic contact model has two model which are indentation and flattening. These model have been evaluated contact area as elastic region, elasto-plastic region or plastic region. Elastic contact region evaluate the same as Hertzian contact theory. Ball bearings has long lifetime to run elastic region and away from resonance condition. Friction has been caused the systems temperature to rise while the shaft-bearing system run. This condition has been caused to drop elastic modulus and stiffness of polymer bearing. Elastic modulus has been affect the bearings force capacity and stiffness. Stiffness affect the natural frequency of systems. For researching temperature effect on elastic modulus and vibration characteristic of ball bearings mathematical model has been created. Radial deep groove ball bearings geometric and material properties have been used in mathematical model. Simulations have been done via MATLAB software program. As a result, elastic modulus and natural frequency of systems' decreases with temperature rise. Although force capacity related with elastic modulus, force capacity increase with temperature rise because of critic deformation.

Stiffness affect the natural frequency of systems. For researching temperature effect on elastic modulus and vibration characteristic of ball bearings mathematical model has been created. Radial deep groove ball bearings geometric and material properties have been used in mathematical model. Simulations have been done via MATLAB software program. As a result, elastic modulus and natural frequency of systems' decreases with temperature rise.
