The purpose of this paper is to review the available studies on use of mindfulness in athletes. For this, the EBSCO, Dialnet, WOS, and Google academic databases were used, and 14 representative articles on the topic published between 2000 and 2018 were selected. The results of the reports analyzed show that while there are different types of mindfulness interventions in athletes, the Mindfulness-Acceptance (MAC) and Mindfulness Sport Performance Enhancement (MSPE) programs offer the most comprehensive empirical validation. Among the benefits of use of mindfulness, special mention should be made of reduction of anxiety, improvement in attentional cognitive skills and awareness, and increased commitment and goal orientation. Impact on sports performance is still unclear, although it generates positive attitudes and improvements in the quality of life of athletes. It is concluded that mindfulness may be an intervention strategy to be considered by psychologists for training attention to the currently arising mental events, promoting improvement of certain attentional and cognitive competences and athlete well-being, while also generating adaptive attitudes in sport contexts.

This article reports the psychological intervention carried out with two high-performance walkers aged 19 and 23 years. This consisted of 10 sessions of an average duration of 60-90 minutes. Intervention was based on motivational coaching. The “Cantón’s Giraffe” model, where the psychologist generates a facilitating environment that emphasizes the active role of the participants in the complete motivational process, based on scientific knowledge, was specifically used (Cantón, 2013). To assess its effectiveness, an A-B-A design was used with the following instruments: Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (Rosenberg, 1989), Schwarzer and Baessler SelfEfficacy Scale (1996), and Ryff’s Psychological Well-Being Scale (Díaz et al., 2006). The results show improvements in the analyzed variables (psychological well-being; self-efficacy; self esteem), most notably in self-efficacy in both participants. It is concluded that coaching is an effective psychological intervention strategy for modifying behavior in high-level athletes.

The objective of this article is to discuss the 21 years of my experience as psychologist at Athletic Club de Bilbao, a project that has been built for a club with a particular philosophy where foreign players do not play. Most players in the first team come from the quarry, and players represent the maximum value of the club and are the only ones who can make the team competitive. We work in a training process aimed at promoting active, thinking and responsible players who participate in their learning and are the protagonists of their development. This implies a change in the role of technicians, including psychologists, who become facilitators energizing optimal learning and performance contexts. From a humanist perspective, this proposal is essentially aimed at the professional development of technicians as a means for training conscious, autonomous and mature players, all of them key characteristics of a competitive player.

The purpose of this study was to assess the effectiveness of a psychological training program regarding the psychological characteristics relevant to sports performance intended for women’s football teams. The participants were 48 female football players from three teams of the Spanish second national division with a mean age of 21.15 ± 3.89 and a mean experience of 12.48 ± 4.12 years. The Questionnaire of Sports Performance-related Psychological Characteristics (QSPPC) was used, making measurements before and after intervention. The participants were assigned to a Control Group (CG), an Experimental Group 1 (EG1), and an Experimental Group 2 (EG2). The psychological training program consisted of 10 sessions. The results suggest that there are no statistically significant differences between the CG and GE1 groups in any of the QSPPC scales. The EG2 shows statistically significant differences in the Impact of Performance Evaluation scale and a trend to significance in the Stress Control (SC) scale of the questionnaire. It is concluded that the players who received the psychological intervention program (EG2) significantly improved their resources to better manage the evaluation of their performance.

Despite the relevance of the psychological component in sports training, its specific integration in work sessions is still limited and far from the reality of the game. However, in tasks with the ball it is essential for the player to learn to understand the game, that is, to make adequate decisions (tactical competence) and to execute them properly (technical competence). This article aims to offer guidance on how to integrate the preparation of psychological skills with all other skills and aspects of the game (tactical, technical, conditional) through training tasks. For this, the integrated situations demanded by the competition are taken into account, and the contents of the psychological component that are especially interesting to improve are accentuated through regulation of the psychological burden. This task will be carried out through the design of tasks or exercises with the ball.

Recognizition of how the efforts made by parents in terms of time and dedication to the practice of sport by their children is absolutely relevant for organization of children’s sports. What the scientific literature has transmitted for decades does not seem so evident in the applied field, where integration of the figure of parents is very scarce, and even often understood as harmful. For eight years now, the BRAVE LEAGUE (Vega Baja of Segura River, Alicante) has pursued, through a competition in sports values, the development of sports behaviors in athletes, parents, and football clubs. For this purpose, we requested the collaboration and participation of parents and clubs (about 3000 people and 44 clubs), as behavioral models for children, by complying with behavioral norms. This will have an impact on a final classification of fair play scored in parallel to the sport activity. Based on the classification, young athletes will receive awards and recognitions at the end of the season. Throughout the year, parents are made different training proposals, which revolve around five specific objectives: a) to generate a positive feeling for the practice of sport; b) how to show family support to their children; c) the value of parents to favor sports performance; d) to understand the sports-school performance “double career”; and e) to develop positive behaviors to become references in sports and health. Juan González Hernández, es psicólogo。 “熟悉的人”和“对社会有影响的人的驱逐”(formación de características personales del niño/a)(卡雷雷斯,Escartí,科特尔,福斯特,安德烈,2012年),“与percepción de habilidad有关的人”(Boixadós,克鲁兹,托雷格罗萨,瓦伦ente, 2004年;Horn, 1985; Smith, Smoll y Curtis, 1979),情感与情感的关系(Brustad, 1988;Partridge y Wann, 2015;《世界新闻》,2009;Scanlan y Lewthwaite, 1986), la participación, motivación y grado de implicación en el dedete to en la retirada del mismo (Cruz, 2001;弗雷泽-托马斯,Côté,迪肯,2008;希梅诺,2007;奥尔蒂斯,2017;Smoll, Smith, y Cumming, 2007), en la transmisión de valores y en el desarrollo moral(丹麦Brunelle, y Forneris, 2007;特尼奇,Côté,汉考克,2014)或la percepción del deportivo (carratalos, guti<s:1>, Guzmán, y Pablos, 2011;基冈,《喷雾》,哈伍德和拉瓦利,2010;Torregrosa et al., 2007)。 in the field of children’s体育送子女改善管理,sportsman
