While research exploring the benefits and challenges of integrating sustainability and digitalization in new ventures has been on the rise, a comprehensive examination of the accumulated knowledge on this topic remains elusive. Addressing this gap, this study aims to identify the simultaneous focus on digitalization and sustainability aspects in entrepreneurship literature and to investigate how the business model perspective has been incorporated into these studies. Using a two-phase bibliometric analysis of 284 papers from 2005 to 2022 in the Web of Science database, this paper identifies the unique research clusters in the literature. The gathered data was subjected to co-occurrence, citation, co-citation, co-author, and bibliographic coupling analysis. The results reveal that while some studies prioritize digital entrepreneurship with minimal consideration of sustainability, others predominantly emphasize social impact and sustainable development, treating digitalization merely as a means to an end. Additionally, only a small group of scholars have surveyed business models in this context. This study not only offers valuable insights into current trends and patterns in digital sustainability, but also provides a framework and suggestions for scholars and entrepreneurs alike to navigate this evolving landscape. The findings especially highlight the need for business model thinking to connect the digital and sustainable features of entrepreneurship, for the creation of more diverse international scholar networks, and for the execution of in-depth empirical research that allows for the inquiry of particular relationships and mechanisms.

The study aims to examine how different aspects of the entrepreneurial environment affect startups’ ability to survive. The quantitative research method and non-probability selection strategy were applied based on attributes pertinent to the study’s goals. We included the 450 entrepreneurs (25 to 50 years old) who had started their businesses from 2021 to 2023 and were from Jaipur, Rajasthan. A significant correlation (positive) was noticed between firm size (FS), firm age (FA), innovative capabilities (IC), funding and financing opportunities (FFO), education and research (ER), competitive advantage (CA), networking, and infrastructure support (NIS) with the survival of startups. ER, CA, NIS, and FFO [calculated adjusted R square—0.903, F value—1041.166, and P value—0.000] were discovered to be significant predictors of startup survival (SS). Findings contribute to the need for entrepreneurs to improve their performance and survival of startups.

This research aims to determine and appreciate the role of control of corruption combined with environmental entrepreneurship on CO2 emission quality. To attain this objective, the researchers developed a model to examine the relationship between environmental entrepreneurship and environmental degradation, taking into account the effects of corruption and financial market development in the long and short run. This study was performed for 15 countries in the Middle East and North African region between 2000 and 2019 by adopting a PMG-ARDL approach. Findings show that (i) real income significantly increases carbon dioxide emissions, while environmental entrepreneurship decreases pollution; (ii) control of corruption can improve environmental quality by influencing environmental entrepreneurship and carbon dioxide emission relationship; and (iii) financial development does not affect the environmental entrepreneurship and carbon dioxide relationship. The conclusion highlights the critical role of controlling corruption to achieve environmental sustainability in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region through the adoption of environmental entrepreneurship. The empirical investigation provides captivating findings concerning the environmental sustainability process, which has important policy implications.

Scalability serves as a crucial tool in facilitating the growth and ensuring the survival of startups. The scalability of a startup is influenced by various factors such as leadership, business structure, access to technology, culture, and entrepreneurial teams, in which entrepreneurial teams play an important role. The impact of the entrepreneurial team on the scale of startups is important because they provide the leadership, expertise, and strategic direction needed to navigate the challenges of scale and take the startup to the next level. The impact of entrepreneurial teams can be categorized into two functional factors: team diversity, encompassing age, gender, and functional background, and team processes, including team-level cognitive comprehensiveness, team commitment, team size, and team integrity. A research instrument was administered to owners and managers of 90 Iranian technological startups between April and July 2021. Sampling was conducted using a simple random sampling method based on the accessible statistical population. The data collected was analyzed using path analysis and SmartPLS3 software. The findings indicate that both diversity and team processes play vital roles in the scalability of a startup. Moreover, team demographic characteristics and cognitive comprehensiveness were found to have the most significant influence on startup scalability and team integrity, respectively. In light of this, policymakers are encouraged to foster a collaborative and innovative environment for upcoming entrepreneurial teams to sustain the growth of startups. Furthermore, managers should focus on creating a culture of trust and loyalty within entrepreneurial teams to strengthen team commitment.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate and examine how different personality traits (PT) and sustainability education (SE) given to students in universities impact their green entrepreneurial intention (GEI). The study also assessed the mediating function of green entrepreneurship behavior (GEB). This study is quantitative in nature and utilizes a cross-sectional research design with a focus on survey methodology. The instrument questionnaire was adopted from prior studies to collect the required data. The targeted population was students from a few universities in the cities of Halle and Lahore in Germany and Pakistan. The sample size was 451 respondents from universities in respected cities and countries. SPSS and Smart PLS were used for analysis. According to the findings, personality traits (PT) and sustainable education (SE) play a crucial role in influencing green entrepreneurial intention (GEI) and consequently significantly influence and lead to green entrepreneurial behavior (GEB). This research provides valuable insight for studying the relationship among personality traits (PT), sustainable education (SE), and green entrepreneurial behavior (GEB) mediated by green entrepreneurial intention (GEI). This combination has not been previously studied. Our study’s novelty rests in filling its methodological gap, as data is collected from Germany and Pakistan and a new model is introduced. This research cannot be generalizable in the context of other countries and different industries. Different situational and organizational factors could also influence this connection. Assuming that personality traits (PT) would have a direct influence on an individual’s entrepreneurial intention and subsequent behavior would be too simplistic.

Purpose
The role of startups and venture capital in the economy of countries is becoming more and more prominent. Some countries contribute to the formation and growth of a supportive ecosystem for businesses through formulation of appropriate policies and measures. The principal purpose of this research is to investigate the factors affecting formation of agricultural entrepreneurship ecosystem in Iran.
Methodology
This study was conducted in two phases. Firstly, a qualitative content analysis of selected articles was used to identify the influential factors in the agricultural entrepreneurship ecosystem. Secondly, structural equation modeling was performed to determine the impact of identified components on the Iranian agricultural entrepreneurship ecosystem.
Findings
The results of the first phase of this research showed that six components influence entrepreneurship ecosystem including markets, human capital, support, culture, financing, and policies. The required quantitative data was collected from a sample population of agricultural startup managers in Iran. The results show that all six components extracted from the literature had a positive and significant effect on agricultural entrepreneurship ecosystem in Iran while two of them have the greatest impact due to the cultural and economic characteristics of the regions.

This study examined the relationship between prior entrepreneurship exposures (PEEs) and entrepreneurial engagement using survey data from 315 fresh graduates in Nigeria. A path analysis was adopted to test how PEE affects entrepreneurial engagement directly and indirectly. Psychological empowerment, which is decomposed as meaning, competence, self-determination, and impact, was utilized as the mediating variable for explaining the association between PEE and engagement in entrepreneurship. The result indicated that PEE was positively related to entrepreneurial engagement and that only three dimensions of psychological empowerment (meaning, competence, and self-determination) also played a mediating role in this relationship. We however did not find evidence that impact mediates the PEE-entrepreneurial engagement relationship in our study population. We discussed the implications of our findings and made suggestions for further studies.

The present study constituted a modest attempt to investigate the effect of students’ perceived access to finance (PAF) and entrepreneurship education (EE) on sustainability-oriented entrepreneurship intention (SOEI) through their attitude toward sustainable entrepreneurship (ATSE). It primarily focuses on elaborating factors that foster the intention and attitude for starting a sustainable business among students by combining the psychological factor of EE with the environmental factor of PAF. For this purpose, the cross-sectional survey design following a quantitative approach was adopted. A sample of 199 students pursuing business and non-business undergraduate courses at the HNBGU, Uttarakhand, were surveyed using a questionnaire and analyzed using SEM in AMOS version 23. The findings revealed mixed results by showing a significant positive impact of PAF and a negative and insignificant impact of EE on ATSE. Moreover, the author affirms the presence of a positive association between ATSE and SOEI. The outcomes revealed the role of specified factors in encouraging students’ sustainability-oriented entrepreneurial attitudes and intent. Initially, it contributed a lot toward enlightening the role and significance of finance in fostering a positive attitude and intent for sustainable entrepreneurship. On the other hand, it emphasizes revisiting EE methods affecting students’ entrepreneurial cognition for sustainable business. Lastly, this research stresses stimulating positive attitudes among young students to foster their SOEI. This study is highly relevant as it comprehends the apparent contradictions in the literature, particularly concerning the emerging area of sustainable entrepreneurship.

Entrepreneurial resilience is of utmost importance for SMEs due to the unique challenges they face allowing them to navigate the complexities of business and emerge stronger in the face of adversity. The study aims to explore the connection between the distinct dimensions of resilience of entrepreneurs and success at both the individual and business levels. It provides insight into how resilience contributes to the growth and prosperity of both entrepreneurs and their businesses in the dynamic and competitive Indian business landscape. The study employed the Connor–Davidson resilience scale 25 (CD-RISC 25) to assess resilience among entrepreneurs. A survey method was employed to collect data from 200 owners/managers of SMEs, utilising non-random sampling techniques like convenience sampling. Self-administered questionnaires were used for data collection. Descriptive statistics, correlation, and regression analysis were conducted to analyse the data. The research uncovered a robust positive correlation between entrepreneurial resilience and the success of both individuals and organizations, with multifaceted impacts on personal growth and achievement. Social support networks were crucial in fostering resilience and influencing financial performance. The research emphasised the significance of entrepreneurial resilience in driving non-financial success for SMEs and identified areas for improvement. The study contributes to the field by identifying a gap in research on entrepreneurial resilience, specifically in individual-level resilience among entrepreneurs, as most studies primarily concentrate on firm-level resilience contributing to the advancement of knowledge in the field of entrepreneurial resilience. The study also contributes by filling a void in research on entrepreneurial resilience in developing economies, notably India, offering crucial insights for policymakers and SME owners in Uttarakhand to enhance strategies for success and longevity.
