For assessing whether women with and without COVID-19 differed with regard to female genital self-image, sexual function and hormonal profile. Female genital self-image being assessed with the female genital self-image scale (FGSIS) and Female Sexual Function Index (FSFI) and laboratory investigations. The study had revealed significant differences in all domains of the FSFI except pain between the cases and the controls. The study had demonstrated significant differences in all domains of the FGSIS between the cases and the controls. The study had shown significant decline in the post-COVID-19 serum levels of total testosterone (TT), free testosterone (FT) and estradiol (E) between the two groups (P < 0.05). Positive correlations between serum TT, FT, E and FGSIS domains and total score of FGSIS in the cases were observed.

Background
Women's sexual dysfunction is a public health concern with a variety of physical and psychological consequences that influence couples’ quality of life. The present study is conducted to evaluate the effect of the oral ginger capsule on the sexual function and sexual quality of life of reproductive-age women.
Methods
This randomized, double-blind clinical trial was performed on 190 women of reproductive age refereeing to health care centers of Alborz Province, Iran during July 2019- November 2020. The women's baseline sexual function and sexual quality of life were assessed by the Female Sexual Function Index (FSFI) and sexual quality of life-female (SQOL-F) questionnaire. Participants were randomly assigned to the intervention group which received, 250 mg oral ginger capsules four times a day for four weeks, and the control group was received four placebos (250 mg) capsules every day for the same period of time. Women's sexual quality of life, and sexual function, were evaluated four weeks after the start of the intervention.
Results
The mean total score of sexual function four weeks after the start of the study in the intervention group was significantly improved compared to before the intervention (27.93 ± 4.97 vs30.94 ± 3.43 (p < 0.001). The sexual quality of life in the intervention group was significantly improved after four weeks of intervention, compared to before the intervention (93.74 ± 17.84 vs 100.9 ± 11.14, p < 0.001) and compared to the control group (100.9 vs 97.2).
Conclusions
The findings of this study show that oral ginger capsule has the potential to improve the sexual function and sexual quality of life of reproductive-age women.

Sex work has defined as the provision of sexual services for money or goods. Since sex work is considered one of India's oldest professions, it is regarded as a highly stigmatised profession. Understanding youth's perception will help determine the current status of sex work in society and the stigma existing in society. A survey was conducted among 187 young adults within the age range of 18–30, selected by random sampling, using an online semi-structured questionnaire to understand the attitude toward sex work in four broad areas which are general perception about sex work, attitude towards sex workers, attitude towards people who buy sex, the legal status of sex work to address the issue stated. Altogether the study points out a shift in the general negative attitude or stigma existing in sex work. The results indicate that young adults possess less stigmatised attitude towards sex work and sex workers, and supporting the legalisation of sex work even though they have less legal awareness. Religious status plays a significant role in the attitude towards sex work, while education and gender do not.

But
Conclusion
Notre étude souligne l’impact négatif d’accouchement instrumental et l’atteinte du périnée (épisiotomie ou déchirure) sur la sexualité féminine.
Objective
To assess the relationship between mode of delivery and sexual function in primiparous women.
Methods
Cross-sectional, descriptive study, witch focused on primiparous women who gave birth in our department, between Junuary 1 and June 30, 2019. Two questionnaires were used three months after childbirth: one to specify the characteristics of the post-partum and the second FSFI to assess sexual function.
Results
Our population of 116 women had a mean age of 27.24 years. 63 women had given birth vaginally. The memory of childbirth was better for women who gave birth vaginally compared to cesarean section. 93.1% resumed sexual activity 3 months post-partum. The average time to resumption of sexuality was 7.03 weeks. The major disorders reported during the post-partum were: desire disorders (28.6%), arousal disorder (13.8%), vaginal lubrication problems (29.5%), orgasm (25.8%), dyspareunia (38.7%) and decreased sexual satisfaction and dyspareunia after instrumental delivery by forceps. Damage to the perineum has a negative impact on sexual function, with a significant difference.
Conclusion
Our study underlines the negative impact of instrumental delivery and damage to the perineum (episiotomy or tearing) on female sexuality.

Objectives
This study aimed to investigate skill-based sexual enhancement counseling on quality of life (QOL) of women with multiple sclerosis.
Methods
The present study was a quasi-experimental research. Forty-four patients with multiple sclerosis and their spouses (n = 88) voluntarily participated in this study based on the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The subjects in the intervention group (n = 22 couples) received the skill-based sexual enhancement counseling program in six sessions. Both groups completed three stages of pretest-posttest, and the standard MSQOL54 questionnaire 3 months later. Data were analyzed by SPSS-20 using descriptive and inferential statistics (repeated measures ANOVA, chi-squared test, and t-test).
Results
Psychological quality of life (P = 0.001) and overall QOL (P = 0.008) were significant after 3 months. According to the findings, the skill-based sexual enhancement counseling program was effective on the quality of life enhancement.
Conclusions
According to the findings, skill-based sexual enhancement counseling program is effective in quality of life enhancement. Therefore, it is recommended to health care providers to use enhancement program alongside the other rehabilitation and medical services to improve the Multiple Sclerosis patients’ quality of life.

Introduction
The transgender population comprises anyone who wishes to be socially recognized as a distinct gender from their birth-assigned sex, with or without the desire of undergoing gender-affirming treatments. Its complexity is recognized, but remains an understudied topic, particularly in Portugal. The main goal of this study was to recognize and characterize the heterogeneity of this population, by exploring the possible gender identities, sexual orientations, and perspectives on the available treatments for gender dysphoria, including psychotherapy, hormone therapy, and sex-reassignment surgery.
Methods
We applied an in-person, self-completion survey to 46 transgender individuals followed at the Psychiatry Department of the University Hospital Center of São João.
Results
The typical profile of our respondents was a young person, the majority being assigned female at birth, with upper secondary or higher education. Most of the patients were currently undergoing psychotherapy (89.1%) and hormone therapy (60.9%), but only a quarter had breast surgery in the past (26.1%). Satisfaction was lower towards breast surgery, but overall median satisfaction with all procedures was high.
Conclusion
This study effectively demonstrates the diversity of the transgender population, pointing out differences in terms of sociodemographic data, gender expression, sexual attraction, treatment adherence and related satisfaction, while also gathering the necessary feedback to improve healthcare.

L-arginine and its precursor and metabolite, l-citrulline, are two amino acids involved in the production of nitric oxide (NO). As a result, they increase blood flow and have been used to treat male sexual dysfunction. We aimed to evaluate whether a topical gel containing l-arginine and l-citrulline could increase blood flow to the clitoris. Sonography of the clitoris was performed on a healthy 32-year-old volunteer before and after applying the gel externally to the vulva. The “before” scans were obtained using a neutral ultrasound gel (without l-arginine or l-citrulline). This allowed us to verify that the observations were due to the active ingredients of the gel, and not from massage associated with its application. Control images without gel could not be obtained, since acquisition of ultrasound images requires ultrasound gel in order to reduce acoustic impedance. The scans were obtained with a Philips Lumify™ ultrasound (Koninklijke Philips N.V., Amsterdam, Netherlands) with a L12-4 linear array transducer (4–12MHz). Clitoral blood flow was assessed qualitatively (color Doppler images), as well as quantitatively (peak systolic velocity, end diastolic velocity, and resistive index of the deep artery of the clitoris). Clitoral blood flow and velocities increased after application of the gel containing l-arginine and l-citrulline at the time points assessed (5 and 15 minutes). Difficulty achieving clitoral stimulation is a major cause of sexual dysfunction. Clinicians can use these findings to counsel patients about using gels to increase clitoral blood flow.

Conclusions
Objectives
Lantern is a sexual violence prevention program that has been implemented in 23 educational settings targeting children aged from birth to 5 in the province of Quebec, Canada. The current study aimed to document the effects of the Lantern training offered to practitioners in intervention and educational settings working with young children.
Methods
A total of 164 practitioners completed a questionnaire before and after their participation in the Lantern training.
Results
Positive effects are observed on participants’ knowledge, prejudice-free beliefs and sense of self-efficacy regarding practices designed to prevent sexual violence, provide sex education, and promote egalitarian relationships among young children.
Conclusion
The proximity that practitioners share with children makes them ideal prevention allies. The Lantern training gives them tools to cover concepts related to sexuality and sexual violence and to adequately intervene when the safety of a child may be compromised.

Objective
To determine the association between tampons and toxic shock syndrome (TSS) in menstruating women.
Materials and methods
We found only case and control Studies. We conducted a search strategy on each of the following databases: MEDLINE through Ovid, EMBASE, Cochrane Controlled Trials Register Center (CENTRAL), and LILACS. Then, we extracted data and assessed the risk of bias by the Newcastle-Ottawa Quality Assessment Scale. We also performed a meta-analysis of the included studies.
Results
Of 90 studies evaluated, after debugging the information, six studies were selected, which fulfilled the inclusion criteria. Findings in the meta-analysis show that the global estimate of the OR = 19.60; (95% CI: 8.31–46.24) indicates a conclusive significant effect in using tampons as a risk factor in TSS. The study presented a low level of heterogeneity (I2 = 0%). Also, all studies showed a score greater than three, representing a low risk of bias.
Conclusion
Tampons use is considered a risk factor for Toxic Shock Syndrome.
