Purpose This study aims to explore how an organization’s ethical climate determines the type and effectiveness of entrepreneurial marketing activities. Also, this study seeks to identify the most critical intra-organizational capabilities related to entrepreneurial marketing components and explain their role in the path of ethical climate to entrepreneurial marketing, which means moving from the intra- to the extra-organizational environment. Design/methodology/approach Data were collected from managers working in 100 scientific and research companies in Iran through survey questionnaires. Latent variable structural equation modeling was used to test the hypothesized relationships. Findings The findings reveal that the linkage between the ethical climate of the organization and entrepreneurial marketing is partially mediated by work engagement. In addition, the mediating role of knowledge transfer was not confirmed. These results imply that the ethical climate of the organization fosters entrepreneurial marketing by enabling employees with absorption, vigor and dedication. Research limitations/implications Scientific and research companies in this research are different in size, resources, knowledge management system, organizational structure and products offered to the market; they have different emphasis on innovation and entrepreneurship as well. This issue increases the variety of data and the ability to generalize the results. Still, on the other hand, it reduces the ability to categorize data and increases the amount of outlier data. Future research in a comparative manner between different industries is needed. Practical implications This study indicates that an organization’s ethical climate can be a critical predictor of its entrepreneurial marketing as well as effective knowledge transfer and work engagement. In this regard, organizations should pay attention to employee’s perception of the organization’s ethical climate and create an environment that supports productive behaviors, commitment, trust, communication, work dedication, etc., to facilitate knowledge transfer effectively so that the organization can identify market opportunities and turn it into customer-oriented innovation, cocreate value for their customers and increase market share. Originality/value In turbulent markets, companies need to introduce quality and reliable products. Still, because the life cycle of products has shortened and the speed of introducing new products has increased, the supply of products will fail if companies are not equipped with new marketing methods. In this regard, the current research will seek to provide a mechanism for organizational capabilities on the road to entrepreneurial marketing by expressing entrepreneurial marketing as an innovative approach and trying to identify factors affecting it.

Purpose The COVID-19 pandemic brought uncertain working patterns in a volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous world wherein unleashing power of knowledge became prototypical for real-time decision-making capacity of organizational workforce. Drawing from Vroom’s expectancy theory, this study aims to investigate whether shared leadership (SL) mediates the impact of perceived fairness of rewards (PFR) on knowledge capitalization (KC). Design/methodology/approach A survey of 484 employees in the Indian real estate industry was completed in two phases. Confirmatory factor analysis and structured equation model were applied for analysis and hypothesis testing. Findings PFR positively affected employee’s KC in Indian real estate industry. Also, SL partially mediated the effect of PFR on KC. Practical implications This study indicates the positive impact of PFR on employees’ KC and demonstrates position of SL for boosting its occurrence in organizations. Originality/value To the best of the authors’ knowledge, this paper is the first to investigate the mediating role of SL between relationship of PFR and KC of employees.

Purpose This study aims to examine the current state of academic research pertaining to the role played by artificial intelligence (AI) in the achievement of a critical sustainable development goal (SDG) – poverty alleviation and describe the field’s development by identifying themes, trends, roadblocks and promising areas for the future. Design/methodology/approach The authors analysed a corpus of 253 studies collected from the Scopus database to examine the current state of the academic literature using bibliometric methods. Findings This paper identifies and analyses key trends in the evolution of this domain. Further, the paper distils the extant literature to unpack the intermediary mechanisms through which AI and related technologies help tackle the critical global issue of poverty. Research limitations/implications The corpus of literature used for the analysis is limited to English language studies from the Scopus database. The paper contributes to the extant research on AI for social good, and more broadly to the research on the value of emerging technologies such as AI. Practical implications Policymakers and government agencies will get an understanding of how technological interventions such as AI can help achieve critical SDGs such as poverty alleviation (SDG-1). Social implications The primary focus of this paper is on the role of AI-related technological interventions to achieve a significant social objective – poverty alleviation. Originality/value To the best of the authors’ knowledge, this is the first study to conduct a comprehensive bibliometric analysis of a critical research domain such as AI and poverty alleviation.

Purpose The purpose of this study is to examine the state of the literature on knowledge sharing in open source software (OSS) development communities by examining the existing research and identifying the knowledge gaps and opportunities that can inform areas for future research. Design/methodology/approach A systematic literature review was conducted of literature published between January 2011 and February 2023. A total of 24 papers were identified and reviewed. Findings The findings reveal that the literature on knowledge sharing in OSS development communities from developing countries are limited. Additionally, there exists a limited focus on the development of frameworks to support knowledge sharing in OSS communities. The transient nature of OSS development contributors’ results in knowledge loss; thus, knowledge retention needs further investigation. Research limitations/implications This study only included papers whose titles, keywords or abstracts included the search keywords “knowledge sharing” and “Open Source Software”. While the keywords were carefully applied, when applying the search, it cannot be ruled that some relevant studies might have been missed. The study was also limited to conferences and journal papers published in English. Despite the limitations, the study provides a systematic review of knowledge sharing in OSS communities and presents findings that can be useful to researchers and practitioners interested in this area. Originality/value The study provides a systematic literature review of published papers and identifies themes and future research areas on knowledge sharing in OSS communities. Additionally, this review offers insights into future research avenues for theory, content and context on knowledge sharing in OSS development communities.

Purpose This study aims to investigate the key factors that influence the behavioural intention of doctors to adopt the knowledge sharing driven blockchain technology in government hospitals. The study is based on the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology 2, with the addition of trust as an independent variable and knowledge sharing as a mediating variable between trust and behavioural intention. Design/methodology/approach The data for the study was collected through a correlation and cross-sectional study using a survey, with a sample of 322 responses being used for the final analysis. The initial analysis of the data was conducted using SPSS v.26, followed by a partial least squares structural equation modelling (PLS-SEM) analysis using SmartPLS v.3.9 to test the validity and reliability of the measures and to examine the hypothesized relationships. Findings The results supported the proposed framework. The results of PLS-SEM indicate that all proposed pathways support the model. In particular, the results of the study reveal that performance expectation, effort expectation, social influence, facilitation conditions and trust are drivers of blockchain adoption and have a significant impact on the behavioural intention of clinicians in hospitals. Furthermore, the study found that knowledge sharing mediated the relationship between trust and behavioural intention. Practical implications The present study sheds light on the challenges facing blockchain technology, such as privacy and trust concerns and proposes a more sustainable approach based on knowledge management to enhance the effectiveness of blockchain technology and overcome these challenges. Originality/value The significance of this paper lies in the limited literature examining the relationships between blockchain technology and knowledge management processes. Furthermore, a hypothetical framework that includes the knowledge sharing process as a mediating variable between trust and behavioural intention to adopt blockchain technology has not been presented or developed in any previous studies, particularly in the context of Iraq. Thus, this work is novel and unique in its approach.

The increased advancement in technology has ushered in wearable technology that can be used in various sectors, including medical services that can ranging from body fitness to remote monitoring of people’s health . Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) have become a big burden in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) and have significantly contributed to consistent morbidity and mortality, which have played a big role in impending development, due to increased poverty. Wearable technology may provide an integral part of the solution for providing health care to a growing aging population in the world. The philosophical approach used was Post positivist to underpin quantitative research, questionnaires were used to collect data from the elderly and health workers. The research approach was a deductive and Survey strategy which was used hand in hand with the deductive approach, and a cross-sectional time horizon was adopted to support a one round data collection. Data was analyzed using SPSS. Results showed that, Masaka region has not yet adopted Wearable technology, however elderly patients of greater Masaka together with health workers are willing to adopt to wearable technology. The UTAUT-3 model was based on to determine the acceptance and use of technology. The purpose of this study is to review the current Knowledge Management (KM) trends and make inference for future directions of KM in project-based organizations and project performance through a Systematic Literature Review (SRL) and Scientometric analysis. First a Google advanced search was conducted and produced five hundred and seventy six (576) papers A SLR of 38 articles from 2000 – 2022 was conducted to narrow the study. Key stages in the systematic review included the formulation of the research questions, the identification of relevant research, data extraction and assessment of the risk of bias, data synthesis, summary and interpretation of the findings. Further, 981 academic documents on the topic were retrieved from Publish or Perish database. Then, co-occurrence and co-citation analysis were performed along with network visualization to examine research interconnections’ patterns. As a result, relevant key words, network of terms co-occurrences with 68 keywords, 793 links, and total link strength of 1,486 was revealed. The most popular keywords within the period, together with their frequency, mean year of publication, links, and total link strength were identified. First a Google advanced search was conducted and produced five hundred and seventy six (576) papers A SLR of 38 articles from 2000 – 2022 was conducted to narrow the study. Key stages in the systematic review included the formulation of the research questions, the identification of relevant research, data extraction and assessment of the risk of bias, data synthesis, summary and interpretation of the findings. Further, 981 academic documents on the topic were retrieved from Publish or Perish database. Then, co-occurrence and co-citation analysis were performed along with network visualization to examine research interconnections’ patterns. As a result, relevant key words, network of terms co-occurrences with 68 keywords, 793 links, and total link strength of 1,486 was revealed. The most popular keywords within the period, together with their frequency, mean year of publication, links, and total link strength were identified. Background: Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) is becoming a burden in developing countries and accelerating day and night. The capacity of health systems in most of these countries is overwhelmed by the huge number of communicable diseases. This has resulted into double burden of diseases for these countries. NCDs have contributed to impediments in development due to increased poverty that is associated with increased mobility, looking for medication. The demand for developing elderly care services increased, and this was aiming at deploying novel technologies in order to provide independent living. This is aimed at creating an environment where elderly can have a consistent and independent health monitor, in order to detect any immerging complications before they become worse. IoT and smart wearable Technologies could provide a promising solution to this problem. These technologies have the capacity to enhance elderly people’s quality of life, and also cut costs, and strains on the health care givers. A Survey strategy was used, supported by questionnaires, observations and interview, to support mixed research methodology’. A cross-sectional time horizon was adopted to support a one round data collection. The findings indicated that, majority of the elderly people are suffering from hypertension, followed by diabetes. Purpose There is a growing awareness in today's organizations of the gap between existing digital technologies and those arising from digital innovation that contribute to reducing work exhaustion. However, no comprehensive framework has been proposed for the importance of adopting digital innovation in reducing work exhaustion. The purpose of this paper is to provide a holistic view by proposing a model for the importance of adopting digital innovation technologies and their role in reducing work exhaustion in Iraq as a developing country, and the model was proposed based on the theory of technology-organization-environment and diffusion of innovation. Design/methodology/approach To collect data, an electronic questionnaire was designed for a survey conducted on 183 Iraqi firms in the industrial sector. For data analysis, the structured equation model was used through the (AMOS. 26) program. Findings The results revealed the importance and significance of the study model in adopting the cloud of things (CoT) as one of the techniques of digital innovation in reducing work exhaustion. Research limitations/implications The authors can conclude that the adoption of the CoT in small and medium enterprises (SMEs) can have a positive impact on the performance of the employees. The adoption of the CoT may provide SME managers with an opportunity to effectively manage various roles and responsibilities. While there were many limitations that this study faced, the authors focused on one type of digital innovation dynamics, which is the CoT, as they must focus on other technologies. Originality/value To the best of the authors’ knowledge, this study is one of the first studies in Iraq as a developing country that explains how emerging digital innovation can be leveraged to create innovative digital products and services as a CoT technology and subsequently lead to the reduction of work exhaustion. It also fills the literature gaps related to adoption factors of digital innovation and their role in reducing work exhaustion.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to examine the relationship between competitive personality (CMP) and rationalized knowledge hiding (KH) and to explore the mediating effects of knowledge-based psychological ownership (KPO) and organization-based PO (OPO) by developing a mediating framework. Design/methodology/approach Data were collected from the ordinary employees of listed companies in China (2022) via a Web-based survey. The total number of valid samples was 337. Confirmatory factor analysis was used to test the reliability and validity of the constructs, and structural equation modeling was used to verify the direct and mediating effects. Findings The findings revealed a positive relationship between CMP and rationalized KH (RKH). KPO plays a positive mediating role between CMP and RKH, whereas OPO plays a negative mediating role between CMP and RKH. Research limitations/implications First, although the questionnaire collection is split into two sessions to reduce common method variation, there is inevitably some risk, as the questionnaires are all reported by the same respondent. Second, this study examined the effects of CMP on RKH based on the Chinese cultural context, but the applicability of this finding to cross-cultural contexts warrants further study. In the future, researchers can conduct cross-cultural comparisons to determine the generalizability of the findings. Practical implications This study helps managers to better identify the RKH behaviors that exist in organizations, understand the reasons and processes behind employees’ KH and facilitate more effective knowledge management by managers. Originality/value This study uses CMP as an important indicator of employees’ RKH behavior, enriches the research related to the antecedent variables of RKH and reveals the influence mechanism between CMP and RKH from the perspective of PO, and the findings can help researchers and managers understand the process and antecedents of RKH so that timely interventions can be implemented.
