(FC) tests for the measurement of personality. In these tests, the person being tested is shown blocks of two or more sentences of similar social desirability, from which he or she must choose which one best represents him or her. Thus, FC tests aim to reduce response bias in self-report questionnaires. However, their use is not without risks and complications if they are not created properly. Fortunately, new psychometric models make it possible to model responses in this type of test and to optimize their construction. Moreover, they allow the construction of “on the fly” computerized adaptive FC tests (CAT-FC), in which each item is constructed on the spot, optimally matching sentences from a previously calibrated bank.

Sin embargo, el fenómeno autolesivo ha generado muchas definiciones y conceptualizaciones en su abordaje (Sutton, 2007). Así, los términos empleados han evolucionado desde suicidio a parasuicidio y automutilación y a las más comúnmente estudiadas en la actualidad: ANS (Nock & Favazza, 2009) y Autolesión Deliberada (AD), que incluye conducta suicida y de riesgo (Hawton et al., 2015). Los diferentes prismas han enriquecido el conocimiento sobre la autolesión, pero evidencian la dificultad de su estudio y comprensión. La evaluación de ANS ha de ser adaptada a la población. Sin embargo, la mayoría de revisiones actuales no contemplan la evaluación de ANS en muestras hispanoparlantes (Chávez-Flores et al., 2019; Klonsky & Lewis, 2014). Por ello, el objetivo de este estudio es revisar el concepto y la evaluación clínica de ANS desde un punto de vista comprensivo, con especial foco en población hispanoparlante. Para ello se revisó la literatura actual en relación al concepto y evaluación de ANS. Se identificaron los instrumentos que evalúan ANS con relevancia clínica que reportan datos sobre su validez y fiabilidad en español con cualquier grupo de edad.

Palabras clave: española, The creation of the Spanish Psychological Association (Spanish acronym, COP) was of enormous significance in the establishing of psychology in Spain, and in the creation of its identity. Since the publication of the 1980 Law of Creation [of the COP], this organization—aimed at regulating and representing the psychology profession—has not stopped growing, despite the serious internal and external issues it has had. The Spanish Psychological Association has gone through different stages over the past 40 years, which reflect and help us to characterize the short history of Spanish psychology, in particular the history of its delimitation with respect to other professions. This article presents an extensive legislative and documentary review, particularly based on its representative publication, Papeles del Psicólogo/Psychologist Papers. We analyze the complicated early years, up to 1993, under the direction of Carlos Camarero and Adolfo Hernández, a phase marked by the internal configuration of the organization, a serious challenge for the profession, and the fight to approve the master’s degree.
