: In this article, we present a concept of ‘Integrative mind-body practices’, weaving reflections on bodily practices in the context of Traditional, Complementary and Integrative Medicine. We discuss theoretical-methodological topics for working with these practices in Brazil’s Unified Health System, relating them to the tensions in the field of Physical Education, which give rise to different approaches. The argument comes from a doctoral thesis that examined experiences of yoga, lian gong, qi gong and circular dance groups in Primary Health Care in the city of Florianópolis, Santa Catarina, based on Grounded Theory. Integrative mind-body practices were conceived and institutionalized in the context of changes in Brazil’s healthcare model, pointing to the need for knowledge production, training and professional intervention to incorporate the debate on Health Care Reform and Collective Health from a critical perspective.

: The Violeta Dória Lins Playground was inaugurated in 1940, in Campinas, as part of a larger project to educate and care for children. In these parks, the educational intentions highlighted the role of architecture and nature. This paper aims to understand children's cultures in the material and symbolic productions produced for the children who frequented playgrounds between the 1940s and 1960s in Campinas. For this investigation, photographs were selected from the institution's collection and the Museum of Image and Sound of Campinas. The analysis showed that there were two patterns of stored photographs, one committed to the display of the built structures, the other to the educational practices involving children. We conclude that the particularities of the educational project of the Playgrounds represented fruitful possibilities for the production of children's cultures, from the appreciation of the contact with nature and a pedagogical program focused on artistic activities, crafts, games, and play.

Resumo O Triathlon, composto por natação, ciclismo e corrida, evidenciou um crescimento da sua prática nos últimos anos. Atualmente enfrentamos uma das maiores pandemias mundiais devido ao novo coronavírus, o que afetou diretamente a rotina de treinos e preparação para competições de triatletas. O objetivo desta investigação, sob uma metodologia qualitativa, é compreender quais são os fatores motivacionais para a prática do Triathlon por atletas brasileiros. Os resultados mostram três categorias emergentes: planilhas de treinos, provas e competições e impactos da pandemia de COVID-19. O artigo conclui que triatletas são motivados por razões distintas e traçam íntima relação à prática do Triathlon com suas respectivas trajetórias esportivas.

Resumo Esta revisão sistemática objetivou analisar como a saúde vem sendo abordada em artigos acadêmicos nacionais que tratam da Educação Física em escolas públicas e relacionar concepções de saúde e visões de Educação Física presentes. A busca foi realizada no Portal de Periódicos CAPES. Os artigos incluídos (n=18) foram submetidos à Análise Temática de Conteúdo. A maioria (n=13) articula as concepções Biomédica e Comportamental de saúde e uma visão Técnico-Instrumental da Educação Física, dois deles apresentando abordagem Normativo-Comportamental de Educação em Saúde. Uma minoria (n=cinco) apresenta uma concepção Socioambiental de Saúde, dos quais apenas dois, uma visão Pedagógico-Reflexiva da Educação Física Escolar articulada à abordagem Crítico-Reflexiva de Educação em Saúde. A perspectiva ampliada de saúde e uma visão Pedagógico-Reflexiva da Educação Física ainda são pouco presentes nas pesquisas acadêmicas.

: This essay comes from theoretical studies to support the introduction of circus skills at school and it aims to present these skills as a Physical Education (PE) teaching tool. As follows, one of the possible ways to introduce students to the universe of body movement culture. The chosen method conceptualizes PE teaching tools from a historical-cultural perspective. Two methodological actions are adopted in the analysis and systematization of the school environment proposal meanings : historical episodes of circus body practices and the pedagogical knowledge that was produced. The didactic selection of content approach shows circus skills as a human phenomenon. It was built by a segment of society whose meanings encompass knowing how to do and comprehend this. The introduction and advances of this theme at school, still struggle to consolidate, mainly due to the didactic discontinuity of this teaching tool.

: The objective was to investigate the production of knowledge about the Professional Identity of Physical Education (PE) teachers. An integrative review was carried out in the databases between 2015 and 2021, where we obtained twenty articles: eleven national and nine international. We verified that the professional identity is built in temporality and in the spaces of life to better understand the multiple possible identities found in the professional trajectory. Although experiences prior to initial training have been considered, it was possible to observe that in initial training, professional identity is established especially with the deepening of experiences in internships. In addition, the consolidation of this identity process remains in the professional field, individually and collectively, from entry into the career and continuing education, however, it is an unfinished and constantly changing process.

Resumo O envelhecimento da população demanda um olhar mais atento para os desejos e necessidades dos idosos. Embora a promoção de um envelhecimento ativo e saudável seja assunto prioritário para a saúde pública, boa parte dos trabalhos desta área são quantitativos, de metodologia epidemiológica, focados nos fatores de risco e proteção para a saúde desta população. Esse viés metodológico não capta a experiência vivida do envelhecimento, não explica as ações de cada um em relação à sua saúde. O objetivo deste ensaio é refletir sobre a importância dos estudos qualitativos na compreensão das necessidades, forças e fraquezas dos idosos que irão refletir na motivação e na maneira de atuar e dar significado à prática de atividade física e ao cuidado com a sua saúde.

Resumo O presente artigo assume o desafio de confrontar as concepções de conhecimento de Michel Foucault, Boaventura de Sousa Santos, Walter Mignolo e Patricio Guerrero Arias com as experiências pedagógicas relatadas por docentes que afirmam colocar em ação o currículo cultural da Educação Física. Para tanto, foram analisados relatos de experiência publicados, em 2020, na coletânea Escrevivências da Educação Física cultural. Diante da impossibilidade de pré-determinar o conteúdo nessa proposta, conclui-se que professores e educandos produzem coletivamente, a cada encontro, conhecimentos marcados por afetos, sentimentos e emoções num processo criativo, pautado no corazonar e atravessado pela justiça cognitiva e afirmação das diferenças e da multiplicidade da vida.

We enquire into the presence of and the role played by women footballers in the narrative construction of clubs as portrayed in media outlets. Our case study focuses on Athletic Bilbao, a pioneering club in women’s football in Spain. The methodology used is based on content analysis, covering three full seasons (2018-19, 2019-20 and 2020-21) of the front pages of four newspapers ( As, Mundo Deportivo, El Correo and Deia ). We found a sexist relational system with two major categories – sequential and normative – in the construction and reproduction of information. We point out the prevalence of sporting narratives focused on men and, in relational terms, the invisibility and, in a best-case scenario, the peripheralization of information about women.
