Integrating Child Art as a Pedagogical Strategy for Teaching Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics at Early Childhood Development Level in Bulawayo Central District, Zimbabwe 将儿童艺术作为早期儿童发展阶段的科学、技术、工程和数学教学策略纳入津巴布韦布拉瓦约中心区

As knowledge regarding human development and learning continues evolving due to the global influences it has created an undeniable opportunity in researching on contemporary educational practice. Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) is influencing educational practice from basic to tertiary education. This study acknowledges that teachers are essential and direct agents to supporting early STEM learning. Thus, this study is predominately a qualitative research approach with an interpretive epistemological and constructivist ontological perspective. Data was collected through semi-structured interviews from ten purposively sampled Early Childhood Development (ECD) teacher participants and formal analysis of 30 child art production (visual analysis of artefacts). The study affirmed that, art practice at ECD is a compatible strategy for early STEM learning. It was found that ECD learners’ attitudes are receptive of art practice as a constructivist approach. The results revealed that teachers used learner development checklists and child art as a tool to measure learner development and progress in STEM. The findings of the study established that teachers and learners encountered challenges such as limited teaching and learning resources, lack of expertise among some teachers, parental interference and content overload. Despite the indicated challenges, the study concluded that the integration of child art as a pedagogical strategy enhanced imparting of STEM skills among learners at ECD level. The study recommended that the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education should capacitate ECD teachers through professional development programmes that focus on ECD STEM learning and teaching.

Effect of Loan Assets Classification on Financial Performance of Nigerian Listed Deposit Money Banks 贷款资产分类对尼日利亚上市存款货币银行财务绩效的影响

This ex post facto research study examines the effect of loan asset classifications and the impacts of substandard, doubtful, and loss loans on the financial performance of listed deposit money banks in Nigeria. The studied Population included all 14 deposit money banks listed on the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) within the period of 2008 to 2019. The study purposively sampled 10 out of the 14 banks for the purpose of data collection and employed multiple regression analysis of data collated from the annual financial reports of the sampled banks within the studied period. In view of the absence of cross-section effect in the dataset, the pooled independent OLS regression was chosen for analysis and interpretation, revealing that the combined outcome of substandard (SSL) and loss loans (LL) variables are significantly related with the financial performance of listed deposit money banks in Nigeria, while doubtful loans show an insignificant effect on financial performance. The study concludes that bank loans are strong predictor of financial performance in Nigeria, thus it is recommended that banks should eradicate weaknesses such as underwriters’ initial failure to adequately assess borrower risk level prior to issuing loans and to subsequently successfully enforce repayment of the loans.

Growth Performance and Histopathology of Clarias Gariepinus Fed Toasted Canavalia Ensiformis Diet 加瑞宾Clarias Gariepinus饲喂烤金丝雀饲料的生长性能和组织病理学研究

Fish farms output and profits have been facing a greater challenge with a hike in the price of feed ingredients. This study was designed to evaluate the growth performance and histopathology of clarias gariepinus fingerlings fed Toasted Canavalia ensiformis seed meal diets.Toasted Canavalia ensiformis meals were used to formulate five different 40.0% isoproteic diets each at 0%, 25%, 50%, 75% and 100% and coded TCe, which were fed at 5% body weight to fingerlings of Clarias gariepinus fingerlings. One hundred and fifty Clarias gariepinus (0.96g±0.03 and 3.93cm±0.28) were randomly assigned to five treatments of 10 fingerlings, replicated three times in a completely randomised design (CRD) in 35L plastic circular bowls through a semi-flow-through system for 84days. Weights and lengths were measured biweekly and used to calculate the growth and nutrient utilization parameters. Histopathology of the fish organs were evaluated. Data collected were analysed using a one-way analysis of variance. Results from the statistical analysis revealed significant differences (p<0.05) in the specific growth rate as the inclusion levels of the tested meals increased. Histopathological changes in the liver cells (hepatocytes) such as mild and severe diffuse vacuolations of the hepatocytes, vacuolar degeneration. Tubule disruption and necrosis were observed in the kidney of fish, blood congestion, cellular hypertrophy, loss of epithelial cell and coagulation necrosis of the lamellae was observed in the gills.This study, therefore, suggested that Clarias gariepinus fingerlings can feed on up to 25% inclusion level Toasted Canavalia ensiformis diet without adverse effects on the growth performance.

The Impact of an Effective Tax System On a Developing Economy: A Review of Rwandan and Nigerian Tax Systems 有效的税收制度对发展中经济的影响:对卢旺达和尼日利亚税收制度的回顾

This study analyzes how foreign direct investment (FDI) affected the output of Nigeria's service sector from 1980 to 2020. The study uses service sector output as the regresand, FDI as the major regressor, and exchange rate (EXR) and government spending (GEX) were used as check variables. The data were sourced from the CBN Statistical Bulletin 2020. The nature of the variables necessitated the use of ECM. Results from the short run ECM dynamic model reveals that service sector output responds positively to FDI. We observed that the lag value of service sector output was positive and significant, implying that service sector output responds to past service sector output positively in Nigeria. The ECM's one-period lag coefficient was negative and significant at 0.05, indicating that service sector output adjusts to changes in explanatory variables and its own lag within a year. The ECMt-1 corrects 17.3% of the disequilibrium between static and short-run dynamic models of Service Sector Output (SSO) within a year on average. The study found that the service sector plays a crucial role in this developing economy's economic growth and development. It is an essential macroeconomic sector that can improve the economy's overall performance and influence the flow and direction of income as well as the Balance of Payments (BOP) position. According to the findings, the study suggests that the government should uphold financial responsibility and allocate more funds towards building necessary infrastructure to support the service sector's growth. This will ultimately improve the overall performance of the Nigerian economy.

The study was designed to study the Hematology and Serum biochemistry of Broiler Chickens Fed Red Sorghum (Sorghum bicolor (L.) Moench) Based Diets supplemented with Complex Enzyme (Kingzyme®). Two hundred (200) chicks (day-old) of mixed sex was randomly allotted to five dietary treatments (T1, T2, T3, T4 and T5) supplemented with enzyme complex (Kingzyme®) at the levels of 0.0g, 0.2g, 0.5g, 0.8g and 1.1g kg per Kg of feed respectively in a Completely Randomized Design (CRD). Each treatment was replicated four (4) times to contain ten (10) birds each. Feed and water were provided ad libitum accompanied with standard management procedures for eight weeks. At end of the eight weeks’ experimental period, blood samples were collected for hematological and serum chemistry analysis. Data were analyzed using Statitix Analytical Software, Version 10; and the treatment means were compared using Turkey HSD.Except the RBC, MCV, MCH and Eosinophil which showed significant (P < 0.05) difference across the treatment groups, all other hematological parameters were not significantly (P > 0.05) affected. The TP, Alb and Glb were also not significantly (P > 0.05) affected. The Urea and Glucose were not significantly (P > 0.05) affected. The Creatinine and Cholesterol were significantly (P > 0.05) affected across the dietary treatment. Based on the result of the study, it was concluded that Red Sorghum-based diet supplemented with enzyme complex (Kingzyme®) do not have any significant effect on hematological and serum biochemistry of broiler chickens.

Each treatment was replicated four (4) times to contain ten (10) birds each. Feed and water were provided ad libitum accompanied with standard management procedures for eight weeks. At end of the eight weeks’ experimental period, blood samples were collected for hematological and serum chemistry analysis. Data were analyzed using Statitix Analytical Software, Version 10; and the treatment means were compared using Turkey HSD.Except the RBC, MCV, MCH and Eosinophil which showed significant (P < 0.05) difference across the treatment groups, all other hematological parameters were not significantly (P > 0.05) affected. The TP, Alb and Glb were also not significantly (P > 0.05) affected. The Urea and Glucose were not significantly (P > 0.05) affected. The Creatinine and Cholesterol were significantly (P > 0.05) affected across the dietary treatment. Factors Influencing Students’ Attitudes Towards Learning English for Specific Purposes 影响学生为特定目的学习英语态度的因素

Students' learning attitudes have been widely believed to be able to affect their learning outcomes. The paper examines Vietnamese students’ attitudes towards learning English for Specific Purposes (ESP) at the tertiary level. It also considers factors influencing their attitudes towards learning ESP. A questionnaire of 50 items was utilized to collect data from 251 non-English majored students. The research results revealed that the participants had favorable attitudes towards learning ESP in general and even towards factors in the ESP learning process such as teachers, classroom environment, course books and tests. Moreover, the findings indicated teachers had the most influential effect on the students’ attitudes to ESP learning, while tests had the least influential one. Some pedagogical implications can be drawn from the research results for the improvement of students’ learning attitudes and ESP learning outcomes.

An Assessment of Consumer Awareness and Coverage of Digital Television Services in Uganda 对乌干达数字电视服务的消费者意识和覆盖率的评估

The research examined the relationship between consumer awareness and coverage of digital TV services in Uganda. The study utilised an appropriate study design help gather data. survey tools and interviews guides helped gather information from people who owned television sets. Analysis of data involved describing, correlations and regressions. Research findings concludes consumer awareness predicts Coverage of Digital TV Services. It is recommended that there is need for revision of the current policy objective 4 a) so that it can cater for new media like social media to promote consumer awareness. The means of disseminating consumer awareness need to be diversified. Government should compel all content providers to create space in their programming for consumer awareness.

Numerical Approximation of Oscillatory Initial Value Problem Using the Homotopy Analysis Algorithm 用同伦分析算法数值逼近振荡初值问题

In this paper, we present numerical approximation for oscillatory initial value problems (IVPs) using the homotopy analysis algorithm. The convergence of the method is discussed and numerical experiments are presented to illustrate the computational effectiveness of the algorithm. The results obtained are in good agreement with the exact solutions and Adomian decomposition method (ADM). These results show that the algorithm introduced here is accurate and easy to apply without linearization.

This paper addresses the Solar Activity cause and effect of climate change and their various impacts. Earth’s climate is determined by complex interactions among the Sun, oceans, atmosphere, cryosphere, land surface and biosphere. The Sun is the principal driving force for Earth’s weather and climate. The Sun’s energy is distributed unevenly on Earth’s surface due to the tilt of Earth’s axis of rotation. Over the course of a year, the angle of rotation results in equatorial areas receiving more solar energy than those near the poles. As a result, the tropical oceans and land masses absorb a great deal more heat than the other regions of Earth. The atmosphere and oceans act together to redistribute this heat. As the equatorial waters warm air near the ocean surface, it expands, rises and drifts towards the poles; cooler denser air from the subtropics and the poles moves toward the equator to take its place. This continual redistribution of heat is modified by the planet’s west to east rotation and the Coriolis force associated with the planet’s spherical shape, giving rise to the high jet streams and the prevailing westerly trade winds. The winds, in turn, along with Earth’s rotation, drive large ocean currents such as the Gulf Stream in the North Atlantic, the Humboldt Current in the South Pacific, and the North and South Equatorial Currents. Ocean currents redistribute warmers waters away from the tropics towards the poles. The ocean and atmosphere exchange heat and water, carbon dioxide and other gases. By its mass and high heat capacity, the ocean moderates climate change from season to season and year to year. These complex, changing atmospheric and oceanic patterns help determine Earth’s weather and climate. Scientists all over the world are making predictions about the ill effects of Global warming and connecting events. The effect of global warming is increasing the average temperature of the Earth. A rise in Earth’s temperatures can in turn root to other alterations in the ecology, including an increasing sea level and modifying the quantity and pattern of rainfall. These modifications may boost the occurrence and concentration of severe climate events, such as floods, famines, heat waves, tornados, and twisters. Other consequences may comprise of higher or lower agricultural outputs, glacier melting, lesser summer stream flows, genus extinctions and rise in the ranges of disease vectors. As an effect of global warming species like golden toad, harlequin frog of Costa Rica has already become extinct. There are number of species that have a threat of disappearing soon as an effect of global warming. As an effect of global warming various new diseases have emerged lately. These diseases are occurring frequently due to the increase in Earths average temperature since the bacteria can survive better in elevated temperatures and even multiply faster when the conditions are favorable. Earth’s climate is determined by complex interactions among the Sun, oceans, atmosphere, cryosphere, land surface and biosphere. The Sun is the principal driving force for Earth’s weather and climate. The Sun’s energy is distributed unevenly on Earth’s surface due to the tilt of Earth’s axis of rotation. Over the course of a year, the angle of rotation results in equatorial areas receiving more solar energy than those near the poles. As a result, the tropical oceans and land masses absorb a great deal more heat than the other regions of Earth. The atmosphere and oceans act together to redistribute this heat. As the equatorial waters warm air near the ocean surface, it expands, rises and drifts towards the poles; cooler denser air from the subtropics and the poles moves toward the equator to take its place. This continual redistribution of heat is modified by the planet’s west to east rotation and the Coriolis force associated with the planet’s spherical shape, giving rise to the high jet streams and the prevailing westerly trade winds. The winds, in turn, along with Earth’s rotation, drive large ocean currents such as the Gulf Stream in the North Atlantic, the Humboldt Current in the South Pacific, and the North and South Equatorial Currents. Ocean currents redistribute warmers waters away from the tropics towards the poles. The ocean and atmosphere exchange heat and water, carbon dioxide and other gases. By its mass and high heat capacity, the ocean moderates climate change from season to season and year to year. These complex, changing atmospheric and oceanic patterns help determine Earth’s weather and climate. Scientists all over the world are making predictions about the ill effects of Global warming and connecting events. The effect of global warming is increasing the average temperature of the Earth. A rise in Earth’s temperatures can in turn root to other alterations in the ecology, including an increasing sea level and modifying the quantity and pattern of rainfall. These modifications may boost the occurrence and concentration of severe climate events, such as floods, famines, heat waves, tornados, and twisters. Other consequences may comprise of higher or lower agricultural outputs, glacier melting, lesser summer stream flows, genus extinctions and rise in the ranges of disease vectors. As an effect of global warming species like golden toad, harlequin frog of Costa Rica has already become extinct. There are number of species that have a threat of disappearing soon as an effect of global warming. As an effect of global warming various new diseases have emerged lately. These diseases are occurring frequently due to the increase in Earths average temperature since the bacteria can survive better in elevated temperatures and even multiply faster when the conditions are favorable.
