A Planning Purchasing Policies for Raw Material Welding Wire Using Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) Method to Reduce Overstock 使用经济订货量(EOQ)法规划原材料焊丝采购政策以减少超量库存

This study aims to determine the optimal order quantity of K71T welding wire for PT BMI's boiler production process to reduce storage and inventory costs. The Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method is applied to calculate the optimal amount of material to be ordered in one period. The results show that the total inventory cost using the EOQ method is Rp. 89,060,000,- compared to the company policy of Rp. 290,840,000,-. The optimal number of orders is 407 boxes with a purchase frequency of 4 times per year and a safety stock of 181 boxes. The findings of this study can be used as a reference for other manufacturing companies that face similar procurement challenges to optimize their inventory management and reduce costs. Accurate demand forecasting is crucial for companies engaged in smelting, such as PT IMLI, to prevent shortages and inventory increases. This research aims to determine the most appropriate forecasting method for raw material demand based on historical data. Three methods were used: moving average with n = 3 and n = 5, and exponential smoothing with α = 0.2. The results showed that the Exponential Smoothing Method with α = 0.2 had the smallest error rate, with a MAPE value of 23%, MAD of 411, and MSE of 293303. This method can be used to optimize demand forecasting for the next period, ensuring that the company has sufficient raw materials for black tin smelting. This study presents a research proposal aimed at addressing the need for improved internal management systems in the logistics industry. The goal is to introduce an Employee Tracking System (ETS) module integrated with the Human Resource Information System (HRIS) to facilitate real-time communication and problem-solving within the organization. The study focuses on the practical challenges of organizational management and the ongoing evolution of information technology in the workplace. The proposed ETS module is expected to enhance employee communication and streamline issue resolution, ultimately contributing to improved organizational efficiency and effectiveness. The research methodology involves a one-month internship program, during which students will work on implementing the ETS module and evaluating its impact on internal management processes. This study aimed to investigate critical factors contributing to defective Epodion® rh-Erythropoietin Alfa syringes, specifically focusing on reducing cracks during manufacturing. A Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) approach was employed to identify the primary causes of failure, revealing cracking as the predominant issue affecting 43% of defective units. To mitigate this concern, we calculated a Risk Priority Number (RPN) of 162, highlighting the significance of addressing material-related issues. Implementing this approach on bullion and ingot products resulted in a 33% improvement in inventory management effectiveness. The Min-Max method facilitated the determination of safe stock levels, minimal order quantities, and reorder points, thereby promoting efficient resource allocation and supply chain optimization. This study investigated the chicken sausage production process and explored problem-solving strategies using fishbone diagrams. The analysis identified key stages, including raw material preparation, grinding, mixing, molding, cooking, cooling, cutting, and packaging. Fishbone diagrams were employed to systematically dissect process issues, revealing root causes related to personnel, methods, machines, materials, and environment. The findings highlight the effectiveness of fishbone diagrams for identifying and addressing production bottlenecks, paving the way for optimized efficiency and quality control in sausage manufacturing. Highlight : Process breakdown: The study identified key stages in chicken sausage production (preparation, grinding, mixing, etc.) using fishbone diagrams. Root cause analysis: Fishbone diagrams helped pinpoint root causes of process issues across various factors (personnel, methods, machines, etc.). This study investigates the efficiency of roving machines at PT. Mertex Indonesia, revealing elevated downtime as a critical impediment impacting production flow and leading to decreased Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) levels below industry benchmarks. By employing the OEE framework, we quantified the current state's performance at 66.92%, highlighting substantial room for improvement. Our findings underscore the need for targeted interventions aimed at reducing unplanned stoppages and enhancing equipment reliability, ultimately driving towards compliance with globally recognized best practices. This study aims to evaluate the efficiency of generators as backup power sources through daily, monthly, and annual routine maintenance analysis to improve their reliability, availability, and operational health. The study was conducted in compliance with regulations related to electrical maintenance of aviation facilities and power plants. The methods used to determine the efficiency of generators include Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF), Actual Operating Time (AOT), Specified Operating Time (SOT), Probability, and Availability. The results show that the availability and average compliance of each generator can be determined through these calculations. The implication of this study is that it provides a framework for evaluating the efficiency and reliability of generators, which can be used to improve the performance of backup power sources. Highlight : Regular maintenance analysis is crucial for improving the efficiency and reliability of generators. Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) and Actual Operating Time (AOT) are important metrics for evaluating the performance of generators. Protection and maintenance of electric motors in industrial environments that are susceptible to overloading has an important role. Overloading occurs when an electric motor is used with a load exceeding its normal capacity, which can cause damage and increase the risk of fire. To overcome this problem, maintenance is needed which aims to implement and maintain the electric motor protection system. This method includes theoretical and practical sessions, where knowledge will be provided about basic protection concepts, protection system components, as well as how to organize and apply protection to electric motors. By following these directions you can improve your in- depth understanding of electric motor protection, develop skills in implementing protection systems, and gain the necessary maintenance capabilities. Positive impacts of this industrial internship include the ability to identify overload risks and implement appropriate protection systems. This not only helps optimize energy use, but also increases the company's operational efficiency and reduces damage and production disruptions. Thus, this program has a crucial role in maintaining the sustainability and operational safety of electric motors in an industrial context that is vulnerable to overloading.

This research aims to address the absence of an employee performance assessment system at a company by designing and implementing a system using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method. The goal is to support decision-making and evaluate employee productivity, ultimately maintaining high company productivity. The AHP method was utilized to determine the level of productivity of each existing employee, leading to changes in ranking positions for certain operators. The results highlight the effectiveness of the AHP-based assessment system in enhancing employee productivity and its potential implications for decision support in performance evaluation.
