In this study, we consider the Takagi–Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy model to examine the global asymptotic stability of Clifford-valued neural networks with time-varying delays and impulses. In order to achieve the global asymptotic stability criteria, we design a general network model that includes quaternion-, complex-, and real-valued networks as special cases. First, we decompose the n -dimensional Clifford-valued neural network into 2 m n -dimensional real-valued counterparts in order to solve the noncommutativity of Clifford numbers multiplication. Then, we prove the new global asymptotic stability criteria by constructing an appropriate Lyapunov-Krasovskii functionals (LKFs) and employing Jensen’s integral inequality together with the reciprocal convex combination method. All the results are proven using linear matrix inequali-ties (LMIs). Finally, a numerical example is provided to show the effectiveness of the achieved results.

In this paper, we propose an algebraic approach to investigate the diagnosis of partially observable labeled Petri nets based on state estimation on a sliding window of a predefined length h . Given an observation, the resulting diagnosis state can be computed while solving integer linear programming problems with a reduced subset of basis markings. The proposed approach consists in exploiting a subset of h observations at each estimation step, which provides a partial diagnosis relevant to the current observation window. This technique allows a status update with a ”forgetfulness” of past observations and enables distinguishing repetitive and punctual faults. The complete diagnosis state can be defined as a function of the partial diagnosis states interpreted on the sliding window. As the analysis shows that some basis markings can present an inconsistency with a future evolution, which possibly implies unnecessary computations of basis markings, a withdrawal procedure of these irrelevant basis markings based on linear programming is proposed.

This paper investigates a safe consensus problem for cooperative-competitive multi-agent systems using a differential privacy (DP) approach. Considering that the agents simultaneously interact cooperatively and competitively, we propose a novel DP bipartite consensus algorithm, which guarantees that the DP strategy only works on competitive pairs of agents. We then prove that the proposed algorithm can achieve the mean square bipartite consensus and ( p, r )- accuracy. Furthermore, a differential privacy analysis is conducted, which shows that the performance of privacy protection is positively correlated with the number of neighbors. Thus, a practical method is established for the agents to select their own privacy levels. Finally, the simulation results are presented to demonstrate the validity of the proposed safe consensus algorithm.

This paper investigates predictor control for wave partial differential equation (PDE) and nonlinear ordinary differential equation (ODE) cascaded system with boundary value-dependent propagation speed. A predictor control is designed first. A two-step backstepping transformation and a new time variable are employed to derive a target system whose stability is established using Lyapunov arguments. The equivalence between stability of the target and the original system is provided using the invertibility of the backstepping transformations. Stability of the closed-loop system is established by Lyapunov
