The Influence of Big Data Management Towards Big Data Decision-Making Capability in The Malaysian Public Sector 大数据管理对马来西亚公共部门大数据决策能力的影响

The study investigates the impact of Big Data Management (BDM) on Big Data Decision-Making Capability (BDDMC) in the Malaysian public sector. Utilizing Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) technique to analyze survey responses from 192 public sector employees, the research identifies that leadership focus on big data and using technology for big data significantly enhance BDDMC. Conversely, it finds that talent management for big data and the organizational culture surrounding big data do not have a notable impact in this context. These findings provide critical insights for public sector organizations, suggesting that prioritizing leadership and technology can improve the strategic use of big data in decision-making processes, particularly in the Malaysian public sector.

Moving Towards Sustainable Purchase Behaviour: Determinants of Consumers’ Acceptance of Electric Vehicles in Malaysia 迈向可持续购买行为:马来西亚消费者接受电动汽车的决定因素

Electric vehicles (EVs) are becoming more common in the transportation industry in recent times. However, the market share of EVs is still unrivalled by that of conventional internal combustion engine vehicles (ICEVs), particularly in developing countries such as Malaysia. This study seeks to investigate the factors of consumer acceptance of EVs in Malaysia. This study specifically investigates six selected factors that may have a significant role in determining EV acceptance. The research was conducted using a quantitative approach, with data collected via an online questionnaire survey among consumers using snowball sampling. Based on 243 valid responses, the findings revealed that environmental concern, energy efficiency of EVs, cost consideration of EV purchases, government policy towards EVs, availability of charging infrastructure, and social influence are positively and significantly associated with consumer acceptance. This study highlights the importance of improving the user experience, resolving practical issues, and emphasising the benefits of EVs to expedite the transition to sustainable and eco-friendly EVs in the context of developing countries.

Factors Affecting Digitalization Acceptance Among Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises in Malaysia 影响马来西亚中小微型企业接受数字化的因素

Despite the increasing trend of digitalization in today’s organization and business environment, the acceptance of business digitalization by micro-, small-, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) remains uncertain. This study intends to investigate factors influencing digitalization acceptance focusing on e-commerce by utilizing the technology-organizational-environment (TOE) framework. This study employed a quantitative method where data was collected via a questionnaire survey among a sample of MSMEs in Kelantan, Malaysia, using the snowball sampling method. The results of this study show that all the variables in the TOE model have significant relationships with e-commerce acceptance. This study suggests that digitalization is very important for MSMEs to ensure the sustainability of a business in a predictable business environment. The findings offer valuable information for improving digitalization adoption among business communities, particularly in the context of MSMEs in developing countries.

The Optimization of Cut Surface for Computer Numerical Control Plasma Cutting Machine 优化计算机数控等离子切割机的切割面

This paper discusses a system designed to process parameter settings for achieving optimum cutting quality by a Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Plasma Machine, employing the Jaya algorithm. The aim is to obtain the most optimized parameter settings for the CNC Plasma Machine, focusing on the plasma cutting method applied to commonly used metals, 304 stainless steels, and S235. The investigation centres on understanding the impacts of these parameters on surface roughness (Ra) and tapper angle. The experiments, conducted using Full Factorial Design (FFD), involved mathematical prediction models developed through a regression method with three controllable levels for each parameter on 12mm S235 steel and 304 stainless steel plates. The Jaya algorithm, known for its efficiency in engineering optimization, operates on the principle of gravitating towards positive outcomes while avoiding unfavorable ones. What sets this study apart is the utilization of the Jaya algorithm, a sophisticated optimization tool that demonstrated exceptional efficiency by converging to the optimum solution within a mere 15 iterations. The Jaya algorithm’s robust performance was highlighted through a comparative analysis, positioning it as superior to alternative techniques for delivering the best optimum solution in a remarkably reduced number of iterations.

Preserving Mojiang Hani Hand Weaving Techniques: Understanding Complexity for Culture and Sustainable Development 保护墨江哈尼族手工编织技艺:了解文化和可持续发展的复杂性

Mojiang, located in the southern region of Yunnan Province, China, serves as the historical abode of the industrious and intellectually rich Hani community, boasting a heritage spanning thousands of years. The traditional costumes of the Mojiang Hani people stand as integral bearers of their national culture, adorned with intricately handwoven elements. However, the advent of modern technology and shifts in the social environment have precipitated a marked decline in the prevalence of handwoven techniques within the decorative aspects of traditional costumes. This jeopardizes the continuity of a craft that is deeply woven into the fabric of their cultural identity. This research employs a methodical combination of observation and interviews to purposefully collect data on Mojiang Hani hand weaving techniques. The findings illuminate that the gradual disappearance of these techniques is intricately linked to their inherent complexity, manifesting across five dimensions: classification, materials, process, patterns, and forms. In response to these complexities, the research proposes judicious recommendations aimed at the effective preservation and transmission of Mojiang Hani hand weaving techniques and, by extension, their traditional culture. Beyond immediate preservation efforts, these suggestions form a solid foundation for future research endeavors and the sustainable development of Mojiang Hani hand weaving techniques, fostering a continuum of cultural heritage in the face of contemporary challenges.

Are Psychological Empowerment and Tax Transparency Related with Tax Compliance Behaviour of SMEs in Malaysia? An Empirical Approach 心理授权和税务透明度与马来西亚中小企业的税务合规行为有关吗?实证方法

The study explores the factors influencing tax compliance behaviour among small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Malaysia. Its main objective is to examine the relationship between psychological empowerment and tax transparency on tax compliance behaviour. Malaysia continues to struggle with issues of under-reporting. Due to limited resources, the Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (IRB) cannot fully ascertain the underlying causes of non-compliance. This study is novel in that it proposes a different model for measuring tax compliance behaviour, including the variable of psychological empowerment, which has been limited in previous taxation studies. The study employed SPSS and AMOS for data analysis. Responses from 230 SMEs in the manufacturing sector were collected using stratified random sampling. The results indicate that both psychological empowerment and tax transparency have a positive and significant relationship with tax compliance behaviour. These findings will be valuable for tax authorities and administrators by highlighting key areas that can be managed more effectively to reduce the high number of tax compliance issues in the country.

Furniture production is one of the activities that has the potential to generate income for educational institutions. The furniture production process is generally carried out by experienced students utilizing industry-standard facilities, namely the Wood Construction workshop along with its machinery equipment. Therefore, the implementation of Quality Control in the production process is necessary. This study aims to determine the impact of Quality Control implementation on improving the productivity and quality of furniture products. The method used is quantitative with 4 stages of Quality Control, including product design, process planning, Incoming Quality Control (IQC), and In-Process Quality Control (IPQC). Productivity measurement is divided into 3 parts: partial productivity, total factor productivity, and total productivity, which includes labor productivity, time, and production output. Meanwhile, product quality measurement is obtained from assessments by practitioners and product quality testing according to ISO 19682. Data is processed using the path analysis method with the help of a smart PLS application. The research results show that the productivity of production output is 87.5%, categorized as good, with labor productivity of 0.125 pieces/person/day and work hour productivity of 0.25 pieces/hour/day. Product quality based on production processes is categorized as good at 83%. Meanwhile, product quality testing, including visual aspects is good (82.3%), product stability (normal), strength (normal), durability (normal), stiffness (normal 34mm/m), and drop test (normal). Based on path analysis, it is known that quality control including product design, process planning, Incoming Quality Control (IQC), and In-Process Quality Control (IPQC) has an impact on improving the productivity and quality of furniture products. the quality control carried out to increase productivity and product quality can be said to be good with the validation of the final result of 0.188 including in the good category.

Bibliometric and Visualization Insights: Understanding the Trend in the Application of Serious Games in Cultural Heritage 文献计量学和可视化洞察力:了解文化遗产中应用严肃游戏的趋势

Serious games have become one of the most promising ways to display and disseminate cultural heritage. Institutions and scholars have become increasingly interested in developing serious games in cultural heritage in recent years, and relevant academic results have been outstanding. Still, a lack of comprehensive analysis of publications in this field exists. This study aims to analyze the current status and trends of the application of serious games in cultural heritage. This article adopts bibliometric methods through a strict screening process, identifies 156 relevant articles from the Web of Science database, and uses VOSviewer and Scimago Graphica tools to conduct a comprehensive analysis. The results of this study are expected to enrich the knowledge base of the research field, providing insights into the current landscape, research hotspots, and development trends of this interdisciplinary field and offering insights into future research directions.

Performance Appraisal Practices and Organizational Citizenship Behavior: Evidence from Jordan 绩效评估实践与组织公民行为:来自约旦的证据

Performance appraisal practices and organizational citizenship behavior are critical to leading employee recognition. This study examines the impact of performance appraisals on organizational citizenship behavior among employees at Jordanian private universities. A total of 170 administrative employees from Jordan's private universities participated in the study by distributing questionnaires using random sampling. The results of a regression analysis confirm the significance and positive impact of evaluating performance appraisal practices on organizational citizenship behavior. Finally, performance appraisal practices motivate the practice of organizational citizenship behaviors such as generosity, altruism, civilized behavior, general commitment, and sports spirit. Based on that, these results contribute to a better understanding of the impact of performance appraisal on organizational citizenship behavior. Also, this study reveals that private university employees exhibit this practice to a high degree, and they attribute this to a variety of factors, including performance appraisal, passion, human relationships, friendship, and human tendencies toward assisting.

Interrelationship Between Motivation with Job Satisfaction and Productivity Parameter by Talent Acquisition Team: A Case Study 人才招聘团队的工作动机与工作满意度和生产率参数之间的相互关系:案例研究

Job satisfaction, dedication, and employee motivation play an important role in the steady growth of an organization which becomes very evident especially after the pandemic. The present study aims to know the efficacy of the talent acquisition (TA) team is to understand how elements like motivation, job satisfaction and employee productivity, interact to enhance organizational performance, by identifying the factors that drive motivation among employees, the team aims to design strategies that foster job satisfaction, which in turn can lead to higher productivity levels. Here, exploratory research is used along with a statistical analysis intervention. Structured questionnaire data sourced from Durgapur Steel Plant (DSP) helped to meet the analytical conclusion. The results show that organizations need to follow a clear TA and management policy by which motivational factors and the working environment have a positive impact on the productivity of the employees. In today’s time the working environment of the organizations is global, complex, highly competitive, agile, and fast result-oriented. Expectantly, this integrative framework may guide or value further academic research on parameters of functions of TA team and might also inform the work of talent management professionals for enhancing productivity and growth of the talent pool.
