News reporting is the carrier of ideology and culture. Although the media claims to be impartial, objective and neutral, they necessarily reflect a certain stance. The media usually constructs characters directly or indirectly in news reports so as to change the audience’s perception of the events. Taking the news headlines related to Rongzhi Lao from thepaper as the data, this paper analyzed the role models of Rongzhi Lao shaped by the media from the perspective of transitivity by using the UAM corpus tool and Python. The result shows that (1) in the news headlines related to Rongzhi Lao from thepaper as the data, the material process accounts for the largest proportion, followed by the relational process, mental process, verbal process, and existential process; (2) through the five processes, Rongzhi Lao is constructed as a guilty person who is good at evading his responsibilities and disguising but does not regret committing felonies on his initiative. This paper gives us insight to clarify the purpose of media news reporting by understanding how the media constructs characters.

The Mu'tazilites obtained the concern of many thinkers and researchers, they devoted themselves to studying their ideas and beliefs adopted by the ruling authority since the beginning of the Caliph Al-Ma'moon reign (198-218 H./ 813-833 A.D), especially it was connected with the plight of Imam Ahmed Bin Hanbal (241 H./ 855 A.D), but the fame of Mu'tazilites started to fade at the beginning of Mutawakkil Caliphate (332 – 347 H./ 943 – 958 A.D), more accurate meaning, their doctrine became no longer an ideological doctrine with followers as another doctrine such as Shia and Sufis, this is in addition to Hanbali doctrine. These all were popular to the public till they led to its sustainability and continuation to the present time. However, the Mu'tazilites doctrine was confirmed by the elite intellectuals’ minds. The significance of the study came from many thinkers and historians who dedicated their study to the principles of Mu'tazilites. They deeply studied their principles and analyzed them. Thinkers and historians were interested in historical aspects, those important to hasten the end of their doctrine. In addition to the political factors and beliefs, people of the public played an important role in ending their doctrine, which was confined to caliphs and the elite of intellectuals and philosophers. The Mu'tazilites stand, and the ruling authority from Ahmed Bin Hanbal contributed to what is known as the plight of having a hostile attitude towards Mu'tazilites.

Studies on terrorism in Indonesia heavily emphasize a security-first approach, which has had profound implications for counter-terrorism strategies, policies, and terrorist imprisonment. This approach, however, fails to properly grasp the internal “deep experience” of terrorists. There are currently 289 terrorist convicts serving their prison sentences in 113 Correctional Institutions throughout Indonesia. Until 2017, over 60 convicted terrorists have been documented for recidivist behaviour and repeating their crimes. This phenomenon raises the question of the possibility of de-ideologization of terrorists in incarceration and if Indonesia’s criminal justice system is truly effective in deradicalizing terrorists. Our study explores this question by interviewing three different groups: ex-terrorists who have served their prison sentence, terrorists who were still incarcerated in prison, and former sympathizers of ISIS who had been deported back from Syria to Indonesia. We explored the social elements and actors that constituted their radical view, their experiences in prison, and the factors that had led them to abandon terrorist activities or disavow their support for ISIS. We conclude that social-legal policies aiming to effectively reduce the ideological reproduction of terrorism cannot be carried out using a heavy-handed security approach, but sociological insights are required to grasp the allure and kernel of truth behind terrorist acts.

The current study aims to verify whether students’ motivation towards learning math and their academic achievement is affected by using (AR) applications in learning math. The study followed the quasi-experimental approach to achieve the objectives. The sample is (46) students in seventh grade distributed as two groups: control and experimental, (23) students in each. AR-based applications were used to explain the educational content to the first group, while the second group was taught using conventional methods. Two instruments were developed to collect data for the study: a scale of motivation towards learning math and an achievement test in math. The results indicated that the experimental group students’ motivation towards learning math was significantly enhanced after treatment, and their academic achievement was apparently improved. Accordingly, the study recommends using (AR) applications in teaching math topics to create a more interactive learning environment that may enhance learners’ motivation and improve their academic achievement.

Vallholder economy is an important driving force for urban economic and social development in the new era. Under the background of socialism with Chinese characteristics, through comparative research, empirical research, investigation and analysis, this paper concluded that the street vendor economy is informal, long-term and complex. For the governance of Chinese street vendors, we should learn from the theory, absorb foreign experience based on the national conditions and urban status, and find the breakthrough of governance from the root. Formulate “flexible” flexible policies, optimize space politics, divide and rule, break through the constraints of regularization, reconstruct and innovate the economic governance model of Chinese street vendors, and realize the “Sinicization of governance concept, local governance policy and contemporary governance model”. The research has enlightenment and reference significance for enriching the development of political economy theory, innovating the informal economic governance model and developing the informal economy in the new era.

Regional economic integration has emerged as a significant focus for China in the post-pandemic era, as the nation seeks to establish mutually beneficial relationships with external economies and promote national development. In this study, the entropy method is employed to construct an index system tailored specifically to the four provinces within the Yangtze River Delta region. This research aims to explore the advantages and challenges of regional economic integration in China by conducting a comparative analysis of the Yangtze River Delta. The study also evaluates the merits and drawbacks of different integration models, drawing on examples from developed countries. The ultimate goal of the research is to provide insights and recommendations for China's regional economic integration, thus contributing to the country's overall prosperity. The results revealed that factors such as economic downturns caused by the pandemic have led the United States to experience a resurgence of racism and xenophobia, reminiscent of historical periods of American nativism, marked by economic insecurity and rapid demographic changes due to mass immigration. However, unlike previous eras with unrestricted immigration, the U.S. has tightened border policies and reduced the number of immigrants, using violent methods to expel unauthorized immigrants, such as Mexican migrant workers, along with their children born in the U.S., forcing them to move to a country where they may not speak the language or understand the culture.

Starting from the influence of Chinese traditional reading culture on contemporary Chinese family education, this paper analyzes the reasons for the formation of the “involution” of Chinese family education. The involution means to have fierce competition but no good feedbacks. This study found that the objective reasons include China's national education policy, and the subjective reasons come from the current family education; there are problems such as incomplete awareness of parents' education, lack of educational ability, education comparison and so on. It is proposed that the correct values and competition views should be cultivated among family members so that parents can take the initiative to break the barriers of education and promote the all-around development and healthy growth of children. This article focuses on the role of family education and the educational methods to prevent “involution”, which may provide another way for China's family education.

Based on Bourdieu's field theory, the article discusses the challenges and coping strategies of digital media in the development of the B&B industry. In the Internet field, the power struggle between B&B operators and consumers becomes the main focus. By utilizing the Internet platform, B&B operators compete to increase brand awareness and influence and attract consumers' attention. Meanwhile, consumers also influence B&B brands through the Internet field, forming a complex, competitive network. In the competition for symbolic capital, B&Bs gain social recognition through the Netflix effect and celebrity recommendations to further enhance their image and competitiveness, and through self-media accounts and matrix content marketing, B&B content is widely disseminated to enhance their exposure in the Internet arena. However, the B&B industry is also facing the problem of homogenization and needs to maintain its personalized characteristics in competition. Combining local characteristics and innovative models, B&B operators can achieve sustainable development and promote rural revitalization.

This article aims to explore the influence of childhood family experiences on women's attitudes towards marriage and relationships. Through literature review and surveys based on examples, it analyzes the shaping of women's attitudes towards marriage and relationships by analyzing the family environment and the quality of parental marriage, as well as their influencing mechanisms. The research findings indicate that the family environment has a significant impact on attitudes towards marriage and relationships, with factors such as family structure and the quality of parental marriage closely related to women's attitudes towards marriage and relationships. Parents' marriage serves as a role model in shaping women's attitudes towards marriage and relationships, and family emotions play a crucial role in the transmission of attitudes towards marriage and relationships. This study supports the hypothesis of the influence of childhood family experiences on women's attitudes towards marriage and relationships, further confirming the importance of childhood family experiences in shaping individual attitudes towards marriage and relationships. The results of this study contribute to a deeper understanding of the mechanisms behind the formation of women's attitudes towards marriage and relationships, providing a theoretical basis for promoting healthy marital and relationship outcomes.
